View Full Version : WISH LIST: CONTRIBUTE, EVERYONE
danilo 13-11-1999, 05:10:AM OK, there's a EA game for euro2000 game?
Now i'm gonna put together a wish list, and we'll send it to EA!! (ok, Ric?)
We'll pick the most realistic and practical ones.
okay--start!
Ahmed Mohammad 13-11-1999, 11:49:AM Iīm not buying that game if they donīt do anything about the keepers (infact I will not buy Fifa 2000 either if not a patch that fixes this is released).
1. Keeper should be able to get cards
2. Donīt smother every shot
3. Could be injured
4. More insecure when a cross comes into the box, very few real keepers do well on every cross.
danilo 14-11-1999, 05:23:AM hmmm
seems like no ones' interested..
c'mon guys!
GROBAR_OTAGO 14-11-1999, 07:13:AM I tkink no one is repling because everybody knows that there will be no improvemrnts one Euro2000 from f2k other them maybee a little graphical touch-up.
So you see euro2k will be a f2k clone but with Czech Republic and Portugual.
Just get Hans's Euro 2ooo patch for Fifa99
Edoardo 14-11-1999, 07:59:AM GROBAR-OTAGO you forgot to mention that EA's euro 2000 game will include all the stadiums in the tourny "wow" hopefully we will also be able to see the players identity screwed up (example michael owen with long lack hair or seaman as a black guy..) danilo you want my wish here it is for FIFA not to let EA have exclusive rights, that way other software companies like konami or microsoft can use the FIFA tournants,players,ect..competition will make for very good footy games let me take a moment to imagine this...hmmm...sweet.And now for my Rock impersonation of what im going to do when EA releases their eurocup game...here it goes..the Rock is going to take the game off the shelve, then proceed to shine it up,real nice and slow then the Rock is going to turn that SONAFABITCH SIDEWAYS AND STICK IT STRAIGHT UP EA'S CANDY ASS..IF YOU SMELLLLAALALA...what..the Rock..is..cooking
Brentford Fan 14-11-1999, 03:42:PM As the game I bought is supposedly the "ENGLISH" version I would of thought it would at least be possible to add all Premier,1st, 2nd and 3rd Division Sides and be able to pick any of them in cup or respective League games.
1. An option for a slower gameplay speed
2. Larger Pitches
3. The ability to again adjust player positioning and attacking bias
4. Wider range in the attributes numbers so teams have real difference of ability. Im in New Zealand and keep beating teams like Italy with the New Zealand team. This is simply unreal (5-1)
5. Commentary that returns to actually saying players names more
i wish konami release a EURO2000 game !!!!!
jinkyj 14-11-1999, 08:46:PM 1.long range goals
2.bigger pitch
3.be able to move a highlighted palyer, when goalie kicks the ball out.
4.mix the best of fifa2000 with viva football!
Ljungberg 14-11-1999, 10:28:PM To be able to play every match in a league, not only 50% of the matches, cause to limitation of 8 teams playable custom league when there are 20 teams in the enlish league and 18 teams in the italy league.
More players in a team, and options to create players when you have started a custom league, and lot more statistics,
eg. how many matches and how many substitutions a player have made in a custom league.
How about 2 cd for FIFA2001, or is just limited for dvd, because i think the limitations are on the cd.
Reading the post I think most people here want a soccer simulation.
EA makes soccer games, not soccer simulations, like CM3. It is much more arcade.
And I don't think EA is going to chance.
If they made something simulation, its is going to be another game, because most of the guys buy it anyway.
Like people asking for 3 Fifa games...
Men... or they have a parent working at EA, or they like to give EA money...
Lord, If EASports were to produce a great soccer csimulation and it took 3 cd's then i would happily pay for it. If it was a great game I wouldnt care about paying the extra. I want the perfect soccer sim and if it needs 3 cd's and more money then so be it.
danilo 15-11-1999, 03:58:AM hmm
i think 2 or more CDs is not really pratical
for a soccer game.
but hey, it would be great if there's another company working 2gether
PolishPower 15-11-1999, 06:11:AM Just a small correction: Euro 2000 has nothing to do with FIFA, it is run by UEFA...
Not 3 Cd's, 3 GAMES!
Fifa 2001 - The Arcade
EuroAsia 2002 - The Management/Simulation
GrandMother 2003 - Soccer Simulation
What makes me more atonished is that many guys suggest that...
After I played the complete CM3 version, there is no way I could play Fifa again.
I don't like Fifa 2k, but it's fun.
But they lack of respect and professional skills, makes me angry.
I work with customers and If I made 10% of what they made with the customers, I will be fired and the company will close.
as roma 15-11-1999, 02:32:PM My Wish? That Microsoft includes club teams on thier next game.
Alexey 15-11-1999, 04:57:PM Have you ever taken a look at any other pages at this forum except the first one? I bet other people have already compiled like five or so wish lists, and also there are about a hundred of separate complaints concerning the game. I don't feel like contributing my suggestions AGAIN, which would be like the tenth time.
Lord, sorry when I say 3 cd's I mean 3 games. Actually I should say 2 games not three. EA could concentrate on an International game with all world teams and all international competition options, one of the things I liked about Road To The World Cup was all the teams. A Club game with local leagues from first division to fourth division and all cup, European cup competitions etc.
MaRSFLoW 15-11-1999, 09:01:PM selection of the best requests:
-Keeper should be able to get cards and to get injuried.
-An option for a slower (very slower) gameplay speed
-Larger Pitches (PLEASE!!!!!)
-The ability to again adjust player positioning and attacking bias.
-The ability to again adjust player positioning and attacking bias.
-long range goals
-more simulation/less arcade
-Med. and long range shots more dangerous but players should miss more the target.
I think i'm correct saying that if this request were featured all we here in this forum would buy this game FOR SURE! I do really think is not THAT DIFFICULT to make bigger pitches or slower gameplay!!!! please EA hear us...please...
M-Flow From Barcelona
Soccer Fans 16-11-1999, 06:08:AM I hope that Euro2000 will not be a half-finished product like FIFA2000! I hope EA should not make too many promises to us eg more special moves, correct rosters and jerseys and then break the promises! I hope the game won't be so choppy and so fast like playing pinball! I hope the game to be more realistic eg different playing style, linesman and security guard, reserve players sitting on the bench and the freekick wall can jump to defend a freekick! Finally, most important thing--bigger pitches!!!
Sergio 16-11-1999, 06:19:AM Being objective...
1- more simulation - less arcade
2- option to control only 1 player (as on Euro96 and NHL2000) or a group of players on the field, speacially becouse it would make the multyplayer games more interesting
3- career mode where the players attributes change and they get older(this one is NOT for EURO2000).
4- Slower speed option
5- Keepers less "sticky". They catch all the long range shots in spite of their speed.
6- Med. and long range shots more dangerous but players should miss more the target.
7- Finnaly, what have they done with the indoor option ? Its not essencial but it was fun http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
I do not agree with you ZZUB.
EA donīt need to make two games.
The main problem with a International and Club games, are the Stats and Rosters.
The system, the gameplay is the same.
Right?
So if Championship Manager 3 could make it, why EA, a much, much, much bigger company could not?
Because they donīt want...
They could use the same old Fifa engine and made actual roster...
Ops... they use the same old Fifa 99 engine for Fifa2000, but they made worst roster...
So what they make this 8 months!?!?
Too easy, too easy...
ps: I read this 3 games post sometime ago, and many players agree...
Puskas 16-11-1999, 05:28:PM -Players should look more like in reality
(incl.: face!!! and jerseys)
-Longer pitch
-Stadium selection
-Back with the fake falls
-More in-game tactics
CoyoteĐ 17-11-1999, 02:44:AM I simply miss many of RTWC 98īs features. Like:
- International managing
- Possibility of turning on and off AI help (like headers)
- Where are the various dribbling options??
- In F98, I could score many different goals. Why in F99 and F2000 I have to always score shooting high in goal's corner or with Q key? Where are the many different shoots of F98????? And what about free kicks? Only if Iīm too next to the goal I can score in F2000, and that little pointer SUCKS!
- Goalkeepers must NOT be PERFECT. Their moves are so artifficial. They can't smooth every shot, that's the main reason the game (F2000) SUCKS, I can just score every goal with a max. of five different ways (two are left goal corner of right....), I want FIFA 98's PLAYABILITY back!!!!!
- MOST IMPORTANT: I used to love that F5 camera (stadium camera), no way I can use it F99 neither in F2000, I have to use the emotionless "tele" cam.
- I really DON'T CARE about scenarios, music and all this crappy stuff. You guys from EA HAVE to work with PLAYABILITY, not only GRAPHICS!!!! And put in your mind, we all (football lovers) HATE this "pinball-like" style of Fifa 99 and 2000!!
- Go back to F98's simulation style urgently! We aren't lamers, we don't want the CPU to do everything for us! And want to have the right of choice. We want more playing complexity (more options of moves, dribbling, shooting), I want to decide STRICTLY wich direction and force of my shoot from a free kick, for example... (like in F98)
- This "heading" and "kangoroo" (jumping)kind of play is mainly from English football! I want more DRIBBLING. We in Brasil just play with the ball IN THE GROUND. I hate that every five touches in ball I must head it at least three. It's just too "english" for me, please PAY ATTENCION of way football is played in other parts of the world! Another "too english" stuff is having to do a power shoot to score a goal. Why can't I just beat the keeper by witing his move and lightly touch the ball fooling him, and the ball run slowly to opponent's net?? Or just lobbing him (like Romario do many times)?? You had never saw a true brazilian player scoring a goal, I think!!
- FIFA 99 and FIFA 2000 SUCKS a lot!!! FIFA 98 is still the best in playability.
danilo 17-11-1999, 03:00:AM hmm
lets concentrate on improvements
'in-game' first.
LORD
I see your point, I have to agree. If it can all fit on one cd then thats where it should be.
mike
Koolkiller 17-11-1999, 07:22:AM Better Defender AI
Keeper who will get injured or get carded.
All player commentary
Keeper who will fumble shots
uclabillman 17-11-1999, 07:34:AM Here's a list from a Californians perspective...
1) Custom leagues need to continue for more than on year.
2) There should be more preset cup tournaments from around the world.
3) You should be able to create custom cups to insert into league play.
4) One of my favorite moves from PSX FIFA 99 was the ability to slide to the side and let a long lob pass you by. That move does not seem to be present in the current game. Every lob pass must be headed, chested, or kicked by the intended target. Players should be able to let it go.
5) It's frustrating that lob passes can only be directed at particular players in their current position. Why can't there be a "through" lob pass just like there is a "through" regular pass.
6) Rather than everyone having the same "special" move being the 360 turn. The move should vary based on the players ability level. Players could have signature moves of their own. (I know this would take too much time and space, but this is a wish list.)
GOONERBHOY 17-11-1999, 07:44:AM Hey Cyote,
Why can`t you place the ball where you wan`t in F99, i have no problem.
My wish is that Portuguese league and Portugal National Team, cameback to Fifa the place they deserv. A least they will be in EA Sports-Euro2004 !!!
I wish the Aussie league was in fifa2000 and that there were more moves
Sergio 18-11-1999, 06:11:AM I totally agree with unclabillman about the throught lob pass and the speacial moves, but most of all I agree with Nuno:
They wont take portugal from the Euro2004... http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
danilo 20-11-1999, 06:35:AM And it seems the 'totally' customisable cameras are not working.
It'll be great to have a auto-zoom camera as in Virtuastriker, or even Actua Soccer
1- bigger pitches!!!
2- a complete new shooting system that's more realistic. (a one that u don't not curl every shot in!!)
3- a complete new goalkeeper's moves that gets rid of bugs and unrealistic saves. (viva football is a crap game but the goalkeepers r sooo realistic)
4- referees and linesmen..duh!!
5- motty for everybody (plzzzzzzzzz)
6- bring back all fifa99's moves and tactics, especially the fake fall and the rainbow trick.
7- keep the crowd's movement and the way the nets r shaped from fifa200
that's all.... http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif
Hartogsveld 20-11-1999, 08:45:PM -Bigger pitches
-Realistic (seasonal) weather conditions
-More realistic keepers
-'Through pass' key
-More in-game tactics and moves (like in Fifa 98 and 99) (lob over keeper, wing back run, step-over nutmeg etc)
-The clock should be stopped when aiming set pieces, even if it's set to continuos, as it often takes several in-game minutes to make a good free-kick
-Better chance to score from free-kicks and long shots
-More player skills, and more levels for each skill (like in fifa 98)
-More teams and leagues
-Better editor
-Realistic looking referees (No black refs in Scandinavain leagues)
-More variated stadiums, possible a stadium editor
-The possibility to make international call-ups (like in Fifa 98)
-The game should keep track on each players passings, tackles, assists and shots to calculate a match rating and to make more realistic man of the match awards
-More and better commentary (more player names!!)
-More realistic audience (less different colours and people dressed in the team jersey)
The way the game plays (dribbles, tackels etc.) are way better than fifa99.
I know that EA has got what it takes to make the game better, it's just a question of will - so come on now, EA, pull yourself together!!
ManUDevil 20-11-1999, 11:11:PM Here is what EA Sports has to do to make a great game:
Things to Keep from FIFA 2000:
- the nets
- crowd animation
- lighting effects
- player animations like dribbling, tackles, etc.
- the computer catch-up logic
Things to change for EURO 2000 and FIFA 2001:
- bigger pitches
- slow the speed of the game
- the keepers have to become more realistic
- better chance to score on long shots and free kicks
- the weather conidtions should match the time of the year your playing at.(When my game is set on Random 4 out of 5 matches have snow in them)
- more moves and in-game tactics, also be able to set-up your own set plays
- bring back to arrow that extends on free-kicks instead of the little small one, I can't tell where I'm aiming
- stop or slow down clock on free kicks, it takes a while to position a good kick
- bring back JOHN MOTSON
- better commentary, more player names
- the game should keep track on each players passings, tackles, assists and shots to calculate a match rating and to make more realistic man of the match awards
- have players rating go up and down during a season, maybe after a injury all of his ratings are low but they build up as he gets healthy or the more games a person plays the ratings goe up and the less he plays they go down
- more teams and leagues
- better rosters
- player positioning and adjust aggressivness
- better editor
- more player skills and levels of play cause change between professional and world class is massive
- better ratings for all the teams, and have all the ratings the same for all the teams, not like have New Zealand good in the New Zealand game but crappy in the USA game, also have soccer experts decide the ratings not some retards
- more wyas to score and more FMV's after goals and penalties
- more penalties, the ratio of tackles called to the tackles left alone is like 1 to ten
- ref's need way better AI
- players on your team need way better AI
- indoor soccer, its fun to see what a club like Man Utd. would be like in the indoor game, and have it 5-on-5 plus a goalie for each team, not 4-on-4 plus a goalie like EA Sports had it last time in a FIFA game
If Ea Sports can't do this then they might as well sell the rights of FIFA to a company that will, but I know EA Sports can do it, its just they don't care about us football fans. They should start caring.
[This message has been edited by ManUDevil (edited 11-20-1999).]
burner 21-11-1999, 04:55:AM What about the instant replays at the half-time or the end of the game?
that would be great... Another Chance to see your goals, and it would looks like real tv ! ;o)
MLSman 21-11-1999, 10:44:AM -career mode
-better rosters
-stadium select
-bigger pitches
-more teams
-better A.I.
Ea Sports could do these easily.
MC Hammer 21-11-1999, 11:57:AM I think they should bring back real stadiums as the current ones are crap, an option for slower game play, i didn't notice how fast fifa 2000 was until i played a game of fifa 98 yesterday. Realise that players from the 60's didn't where the same baggy shorts that players in the 1920's did. And finally put some normal celebrations in, its strange when you see tony adams doing a sommersault after he's scored. Oh and a career mode like in Sensi Soccer where you could move from club to club and transfers were a bit more realistic, sort of a manager game built in.
[This message has been edited by MC Hammer (edited 11-21-1999).]
How about..
A career mode?
I mean comon ffs, Sensible World Of Soccer on the Amiga is still superior to FIFA 2000 in this regard.
Also, In FIFA 2000 every player sheilds the ball, this is just not realistic..
Jim Beam 21-11-1999, 01:45:PM Dear Santa,
Please could you bring me a Supermodel, a Ferrari F355 and could Scotland win the next World Cup.
Oh, wrong list, oh well, I've got as much chance of getting those from Santa as you lot do from EA Sports.
SOUTH AMERICAN CLUBS, not only seven.
LIBERTADORES CUP
BRAZILIAN LEAGUE
RIGHT NAMES FOR BRAZILIAN PLAYERS
ARGENTINE LEAGUE
MEXICAN LEAGUE
Uruguayan, Chilean, Colombian and Paraguayan Clubs
**** THE MLS. It's a piece of ****!
yecurb 23-11-1999, 03:05:AM --Pitch bigger
--players that look like virtua striker 2's players
--linesman and benches, coaches, substitutes , ball boys, security staff(not necessary, but better if there is )
--a mode to change from arcade to simulation and vice versa
arcade means fast game play and no dribble skills (like virtua striker )
simulations means just like the real soccer
game in the world, the present system seems to be a mix of arcade and simulation
--new player animations
esp the shooting animation, real life players don't shoot like that,
goalkeepers seldom use 2 hands to save a low shot(except david james), they always use 1 hand, maybe include both animations and make them random or WLS 99 's goalkeeper
--better ball physics
the ball seem to float in the air when using lob in mid field
--shooting bar
with this, EA will not have to program missed shots, it is better because shots r controlled by us rather den randomly miss some shots or looking at the players's stats. Even the best player in the world can miss
--headers should be timed
--goalkeepers logic
goalkeepers r too invincible in fifa games
they should behave more like virtua striker 2v98 's goalkeepers.(parry more if u shoot more)goalkeepers confidence should be build up too, like save a series of saves, or else just be a complete idiot in the game(like taibi) or just average
--correct rosters and facial features of players otherwise the license from fifa would be useless, even games that do not have the license to put correct names or player(like ronaldo) perform better den fifa. EG ronaldo in virtua strker 2v99
--jerseys
since EA cannot duplicate the jerseys sold commercially(they cannot even duplicate adidas jerseys even though adidas is one of the sponsors of fifa), at least make them look like them. EG. although nike is not a sponsor in virtua striker 2 games, countries sponsored by nike really look like the real thing(only without the cross i think)
i just want to say that i am not a Virtua Striker 2 fanatic (i play other soccer games too) but i think the guys in japan did it right(although virtua striker is not perfect too). i think that even ISS on the super nintendo is better den FIFA except for the graphics. (by konami , another jap company)
so i am very dissappointed wif fifa and EA, if they can make games like NAB live , but they produce this kind of game in fifa, sigh, i think soccer gaming is really bad on the PC (CM3 is good though), unless konami decides to release their games on the PC, otherwise i will not play soccer games on PC, and wait for FF8 on the PC to come out....
***why does all good things originate from japan????
btw i am not japanese...
belly 23-11-1999, 10:16:AM Jim Beam,
you are right on my man. Although I'm sure a lot of improvements will be made, I'm also sure that they will never be simultaniously be in the same game. ManuDevil has suggested great improvements and I'm sure that this list could, if implemented, lead to the best damn soccergame in the whole wide universe. I'm also sure (boy, I am pretty sure in this message, aren't I) that EA has no interest in putting the perfect product out, since it would mean that yearly follow-ups would be harder to sell (why upgrade an already perfect game?!)
Nevertheless I hope that EA will continue making improvements in the game, but even more that they stop taking out what worked just fine in previous versions. They now seem to take out pieces of the game that fans liked just fine (stadium presentations used to be better, as did the shot-indicating arrow, the fatigue-bar, soundtrack, etc), while hardly improving on what we all find worthless (gamespeed, pitch-size, goalie AI, should I go on?)
While I applaud some improvements made in FIFA 2k, my first impression was that I liked the 99 version better. Too many good aspacts of 99 were replaced for no apparent reason and actually made the game worse than it could have been.
My dreamversion for a PC soccergame would be:
-gamespeed as in fifa 98 or slower
-ball handling as in fifa 99
-interface and soundtrack as in fifa 99
-stadium presentation as in fifa rtwc
-graphics as in nhl 2000, camera options of fifa rtwc or 98
-improve goalies (less accurate on crosses, cards, etc)
-improve on second divisions, full and playable rosters for all countries in the game
-leave out the first divisions of mickey mouse soccer countries like greece and turkey
-all of the improvements suggested by ManuDevil
If EA makes this perfect game one day, I will quit my job, glue my ass to my chair, pick up the controller and play till my eyeballs pop out or my screen blows up.
I'll install a Webcam for y'all to witness it.
See ya,
Belly
danilo 23-11-1999, 05:30:PM Hmmm
can anyone make a patch
that changes the colors of the crowd?
