what did you think of v.2 ?

im releasing v.3 so soon because people are saying they liked v.2
but issues with shooting, passing, ball physics, etc.

v.3 is a totally reworked ai, refining the shooting, passing, and

my beta testers said its the best i have made for any fifa game i

ill try, thing is if i change it any more you get smothered by the defender the second you get possession, and thats not very realistic.

im going for realistic futbol gameplay.

if people just want plain hard ai i can do it, but it makes the gameplay very unrealistic.

I never knew you cud edit gameplay never mind shirts and faces an the rest of editing fifa. Its damn cool that you can edit the gameplay, and its much appreciated that you take the time to do it as i said above. :)

I've been playing it about since a couple of days after it got released and I think it's good and realistic, but a downside is that the goalkeeper goes out a bit too often to try to get the ball and gives the player a too easy given opportunity to score, I would like that decreased a bit, if possible but that's just my thoughts

i fixed both of those issues already.

1. passes now bounce to the player

2. gk wont come out as fast & he wont rush out past the 17 yard line.

Great to hear it, oh, I've found another small issue with it, the defenders doesn't make enough clearances, they keep the ball to themselves and lets the player easily get the ball so that they lose it and the player can score a goal, I would like that improved as well, if possible and the goalkeeper is waay too bad when it comes to freekicks, he can't save a single one, I would like that improved a bit as well, making it a bit more tougher to score a freekick because of the goalkeepers skill

Thankyou for fixing the passing, that was the only real problem anyone had.
Will make it harder i think for the openent to score with the keep not coming out as much, but im not sure on player against the cpu goalkeeper, i think you may be able to slot the ball past most times, you'l have more time to power a shot the goal keeper doesnt come out resulting in more goals, you wont be able to chip the keeper if hes only coming out to the 17 yards hel always catch.

Either make one or join one, everyone goes on the server and plays against another team. As easy as that, there's leagues and tournaments brilliant fun.

Only downside is, you need to be good to get into the good clans, they'l usualy test you on a week or 5 days trial by playing match's against the clan leader. If they think your good enough they'l let you in. Class so it is.

Kinda works like the real thing, were you train and that during the week.

If your interested in that kinda thing, one peice of advice i will give you, dont join a clan if you dont have time to spare when they require you, ie you dont have a social life like me lol, internet gaming and playing single player games is my social life lmao.

I found that sometimes the goalkeepers become so.. stupid :| Slowly react and move so far from the goal !! Plz fix the issue of GK !! Your mod is perfect !!

that is completely fixed man, gks come to the top of the box to throw & counter,
kick past the half line, dont come out so fast & far anymore, & are much quicker to the saves now.

i have a gameplay about to be released, ive been working on it for a month now.

new passing parameters, new shooting parameters, better cpu defense, cpu build up,
slowed the players down (w/o modding db) so the midfielders catch up on the attacks & counters, much, much more.

everything has been redone, & some special parameters have been added for the cpu to make the game harder.

the read me will display all the tweaks i have done.

if you thought v.3 was good, you guys are in for a treat w. this ai.

Based off of the comments & feedback from users

- decreased player speeds for a more realistic sprint & pace (players legs dont move a mile a minute anymore)

- more realistic tactics ai for less offsides, better counter attacks, & realistic clearances in pressured situations

- realistic trapping skills for a more real feel

- more realistic runs support & in the box support & positioning along w/ 3rd man support

- realistic jostling battles for headers (w/ less falls from the jostle)

- more realistic gks reactions, speeds, charging, one on ones, kicking
& throwing (fixed gk not coming to top of the box to drop kick or throw,
& now kicks past the half line) he creates more counters for cpu (users control that when playing)

- more realistic dribbling, w/ a better feel when cutting & performing skill moves

- more realistic passing & passing flow (fixed the "magnet" pass, it now bounce
across the pitch & better, smarter cpu passing)

Added CPU Parameters

- realistic cpu build up, passing flow & attacking (cpu will attempt more shots from 22 to 30 meters out,
attempt to get men into the box before crossing, will perform more skill moves, etc)

- realistic cpu defense, cpu will mark better, call 2nd man faster, & close down 5x faster than before, &
will increase pressure during transitions, increase pressure on you in dangerous situations, etc

& much more.

will be released in the next couple of days, have to finish tweaking it up a lil bit.

v.4 is released, its in the signature, along with the edited formations that supports the attacking parameters in Regularcat's FIFA 10 AI V.4

there might be a possible bug, gimme feedback, as it only happened to me once.

i never finished the update, so the ony thing i can upload is a db file you might already have.

Are the changes not saved in D. my squads ?
I have replaced it before with someones 'updated' roster and it worked OK if you could sent me the my squads file from your exisiting setup of FIFA09 I'm sure it will incorporate the roster updates you have done so far (I'm really only inteseted in the Barclays Priemiership transfers)

gk on pro, of course you'll score, if you are scoring 6 goals you need to turn up the gk difficulty.
play a match against a good club.

it still needs to be worked on, but i dont have that much time to spend on this anymore,

not sure what you are trying to say nadzlee, this ai changes the way the cpu builds & attacks.

if you are winning 4-1 & saying its to easy, then play futbol corrrectly, anyone
can chase the man w/ the ball, & constantly call 2nd defender & take possession away.

a lot of people play that way, i dont attack a cpu player w/ the ball before they cross the half line, unless im down or have a chance for a quick goal.

i need to change the tackling from cpu, how can i make the cpu tackle more, its too easy to get past the cpu defence. Atleast be able to make it harder to make it past them. i score 10 goals in one match

i added new parameters for the gk's, i think this will be a much better version.

i even made the ball bounce similar to ea, so merdiso stops bitching, i cant stand him, but i try to appease everyone.

it dont bother me, i was just saying what i said in general, i got nothing against you nor was i aiming anything towards you man.

my comment on v4 i think that the CPU team easily scores on free kicks(my goalkeeper is Buffon!) i cant use the wall cause the CPU kicker kicks its so fast I only have maybe 1.5 seconds to set up my wall...and gosh the kicker is 100 times better than beckham so i always try not to foul the CPU plus when the CPU is losing they always score crazy goals plus the defenders are ghosts most of the time players just goes past my defenders who's overall is 91 chiellini and kompany 88! change those and its would be better and more realistic!

there is 2 ai files in this download, 1 w/ the new ball physics & 1 w/ the v.4 ball physics.

- no game will be the same, if you are the same club over & over or you change clubs constantly.

- drastically improved ball physics, ball bounces much more than v.4, creating different situations
such as, better airiel battles, deflections( ball will never go directly to human|cpu players making for
more oppurtunities for both human|cpu teams), missed traps, missed headers, etc (too much to list)

- drastically improved cpu play
much more aggressive on the attack
much more aggressive when marking & tackling
much better build up & much smarter passing
constantly avoid human tackling
goalkeepers much smarter & faster to the save, w/ controlled deflections
defend better against free kicks
much smarter & more consistent all around

way, way to much to include in this read me
just know there are many, many extra added parameters.

increased realism & increased difficulty.

trust me, you will see a difference in play


feel free to edit what you want & share it w/ the community, but by no means redistribute my ai.

there is one pitch for fifa 10, so if you use a winter turf, & play in the summer, you will have snow on the pitch.

Regularcat's FIFA 10 AI V.6

all around improvements in ball physics, build up, passing, shooting, defending, goalkeeping,
fouls, every team is only as good as its players, players roles are now more important than ever.

teams will now rely on what thier players are capable of doing, no more feeling like players are
of equal ability & attributes.

as examples you can feel the difference between what lionel messi can do as compared to what
steven pienaar can do, instead of the feeling they are equal.

you can blast top corner shots from 25 to 30 meters out with steven gerrard & not with yaya toure,
like was previously possible.

you can break up a 2 on 1 with vidic without a struggle, richard dunne may or may not be capable
of making that goal saving tackle.

goalkeepers like iker casillas can move from post to post faster to take away the angle, as guillermo
ochoa might not get there as fast.

no player feels the same, the way ea made it feel.


as for aspects of the game there are simply way too many changes to list from the previous ai, v.5

just to name a few.

attacking

- the most realistic cpu build ups & attacking, much smarter passing, cpu will do anything to keep
the ball away from you, skill moves, quick 3 way passes while on the attack. cpu players based on
thier respective groupings of excellent, good, average, poor, will now act more than ever on their
grouping then ever before.

examples

players like messi, ronaldo, ibrahimovic, van persie, etc will attempt to dribble by defenders just in
& outside of the box, either trying to run by them or with a skill move.

players like gerrard, xavi, etc will take more shots from outside the box.

some players will do both depending on the scenario.

players make the best possible pass during the build up, pretty passes to players in scoring
positions.


defending

- much tougher & smarter defending in all defensive scenarios, defenders will come to help on
forwards & midfielders attacking the box, in a 2 on 2 situation the fbs will hold thier ground to
take away any passing oppurtunities, etc.


goalkeeping

- goalkeepers play far beyond ea's norm for goalkeeping, no more charging out at every chance
they get. they are much smarter now, making better decisions on wether or not to come off thier
line. they now lets balls going out past the end line go out for goal kicks instead of attempting to
chase down the ball. on 1 on 1 situations for example forwards on the 18 pushing deeper into the
box, the gk will charge out to the 8 & slowly fall back towards the goal taking away the angles on
the fall back, limiting the chance of scoring.


fouls

- fouls are now increased, creating more direct free kicks, & quick free kicks to take advantage of
of out of positioned defenders.


ball physics

- the physics are improved, & the ball feels as heavy as its supposed to feel, you can feel its weight
when passing, shooting, heading, tackling.

oh & by the way, the heavy ball bug is a thing of the past.

difficulty

- increased the difficulty some more, not too much for players of a lower caliber.

thanks for your latest patch RC. i love to play with it. the CPU is more intelligent now, i cant beat them even for Proffesional level.

i can make a snow turf, but i cannot have it appear automatically or when you select winter mode.

there is one pitch for fifa 10, so if you use a winter turf, & play in the summer, you will have snow on the pitch.

ive been searching for the actual snow texture for fifa 10, but have no idea where its located.

Arg, you should also communicate with KDK. He made the best snow pitch for fifa10 (in my oppinion)....

i think kdk snow is too silver.
