Hi guys. I have started working on Kit Models Switcher 10 given that I see many of you are asking it...
I have started the thread not only to let you know when the program will be ready (you still have to patiently wait), but also to do an announcement to all models editors.
Guys, the kit model switcher will be able to let the user choose which model to assign to every player in the pitch, to the referee and the linesmen.
So, if the user wants, he can even put a different model to every player.
For this reason I have set the maximum capacity of different model patches that can be installed with the tool at 25. For this reason I ask you to provide me:
0) author's name
1) your edited m200__.o
2) your (if you made) edited m232__.o
3) the title/name of your patch
4) a brief description.
The tool will have a way to import new models, but I want to provide as much models as possible with the release. So, for example write me:
download link, "My Untucked Jerseys Patch", "this is my attempt to edit models..."
Note that more models you give me, more models versions you will find in the final tool release :)
P.S. Feel free to mix the different model patches if you want (and you are allowed by the other authors).

Question and maybe a suggestion as well : can you make the switcher TEAM CHOICE too? Meaning, we can choose which team use which model kits. Possibly you kitswitcher can detect which team are playing and use the the appropriate model. Just now I saw BASSIO's UNDERSHIRTS PATCH 2010 thread and I know this patch is useful for temperate country, but not tropical. Just a suggestion AND a question.

4) This patch has my large+small as ankle tapes as well as large wristbands. It also has the edited collar to make it look more like a highneck(still a beta). Plus i included bassio's undershirts and skeptik's untucked shirts
Since i couldnt put large and small ankle tapes in one model i did it in 2 seprate files. The differnce in bth files is just the ankle tapes. Also rite nw i am working on a glve patch and as soon as i will be done with it i will update my m200__.o files in this post.
Edit : I have nw updated the models to have the v1.0 of my highneck shirts. Check my thread for details for the patch

Unfortunately mate I have not the needed knowledge to implement a detection of the teams and players playing. However I have inserted (like in FIFA 09 Switcher) a system to save the configuration for home and away team on a file so that you can save one file per every team you need and then load it before the match start...

Did you find it difficult to use? Maybe for the fact that you are obliged to minimize Fifa to edit the switcher options, but there is no other way to do this. Or better: the way could be the directx injection to show options directly on the game screen, but I don't know anything about it :D
By the way you can always use the random option and/or let always the same models for every match!
Or there was something else difficult too?

I meant the version which i owned didnt have that players standing in a line as ur switcher required so i couldnt take the pic and use the switcher, even though sometimes a miracle happend and my saved settings did wrk bt nt always so i thpught erhaps u have a diffent method 4 switching the models

No wait. I don't understand you now... My switcher requires nothing. The models are given to each player based on his position in pre-match formation. And you can always see it in the formation before loading the match, with every module. If you use a 3-4-3 the switcher player5 will be the first midfielder, whereas if you use a 4-4-2 the switcher player5 will be the last defensor. But it is always the 5th position in the players list in the formation FIFA 10 view... Right?
By the way, here you are how the new switcher will look like... Sounds complicated? I don't think so...

no mte u gt me all wrnge. UR previous switcher required to take a pic 1st b4 u could select the models and use the switcher. But in this case i c there is no need to take a pic for the switcher to wrk s thats great. By the way the 1st layout is better ;)

In this way creators can do compact zip files with their models and the program will read them and use them just like CM does with cmp. There will be the possibility to add a description or a readme to be shown in the switcher tool too.

Yes, I'm doing also an option to give you the possibility to use every model you insert with armband patch installed... The program will edit the model via software to guarantee almost the same result of the models installed with my Armband Tool 10.

No mate, you are asking a bit too much... In the same match you cannot change the model because the game pre-loads and store in RAM quite everything (except something like popups) during the match loading and your changes after the game loading are not taken by the game in the current match, but only in the next.
If you mean that you want to change models between two different matches, yes you can. You can even add new models!!!

my friend u gt me all wrong. I just wanted to knw if this feature was present in ur switcher thats all as i thought it to be just awesme bt if it impossible its ok. Oh by the way brilliant wrk and i have updated my models in my post where i have psted the models

Rite nw here in Pakistan its noon. Hopefuly i would be able to make C.Ronalod ankle tapes model tonight according to Pakistan and if possible pst here. Check my 1st post for the mdels update. Oh and could u rename the NEck under's + small tapes to "Stevi G's" and as for Undershirt + NEck under's + small tapes to "Bassio's"???? Because otherwise the name becomes too longg.

Your previous version of undershirts models were bugged because they took the undershirt texture from the long sleeve instead of from the kit portion taken by Bassio. I hope this time this is fixed :D

Man, you have done so much a mess that I don't know what is what and what it does... So please take your time to fix the undershirts problem I told you and you will release the pack when you have done everything. For the moment I will include in the tool package only your UCL armband model ;)
Consider also that if you make a zip with a readme.txt after the tool release, the user can load it with the tool and will read also the description you made in readme.txt ;)

So please take your time to fix the undershirts problem I told you and you will release the pack when you have done everything. For the moment I will include in the tool package only your UCL armband model ;)
Could u as well include the BPL armband model? And mate in my patch just exactly wat were the bugs. I cant fix them until i knw wat they are, are there any more bugs other than the 1s with the undershirts? Cause the undershirts are the 1s made by bassio. I just exportd them as rhino points using oedit and imported into the original model. The problem is that the undershirts are UV mapped to wrk wth only ea's kits. But i will fix tht. As for wat is wat and wat it does here is the list of wat is present in this patch :
-> Untucked shirts by Skeptik (part 052)
-> Undershirts by Bassio (parts 001,002,004 and 005)
-> Large and small ankle tapes by me (part 050)
-> Large wristbands by me (parts 048 and 049)
-> Highneck collar by me (part 035)
Consider also that if you make a zip with a readme.txt after the tool release, the user can load it with the tool and will read also the description you made in readme.txt ;)
Your previous version of undershirts models were bugged because they took the undershirt texture from the long sleeve instead of from the kit portion taken by Bassio. I hope this time this is fixed
I have fixed the undershirts so that they nw take textures frm short sleeves instead of lng sleeves. Also I will make a readme.txt file ;). Hope this time u find wat ur looking for. As for the C.Ronaldo model i am working on it.
Note : My Highneck patch v1.0 is edited in this manner that it should be used with another collar. So could u make it possible to use the patch with another collar?

For the tucked-in undershirst i have used the technique on texturin similar to that of Bassio's and in my opinion better as i have fixed some bugs tht were even in his method. No way i can make all the collars highneck for 1) there are too many collars to do in so little time. 2) All the collars have differnt geometry and cannot be made into highneck model unfortunalty. Readme.txt file coming soon ;). Oh and do let me knw if u are including the BPL armband patch (plz plz plz plz plzzzz do) so that i can make the Readme.txt file accordingly. Thnks :)

But I have found two bugs a little mistake in the installer/uninstaller.
You have forgot to write by the Install Creator the ".exe" for the uninstaller, so is the uninstaller without any file extension and do not work, when somebody want use it.
And the bugs is the following, when I click on "Import in zdata_97" under the Model management tab the tool crash and do not import something and the same problem like Evolution, the Switcher crash when I want enable them. I have XP Pro SP3 and installed it under C:\Programme\FIFAMania\Kit Models Switcher 10 and FIFA is installed under E:\FIFA 10

Are you using anything different from your original game .exe? FIFA happens to crash with all the non-original game .exe when Alt+tabed.

1) The switcher is done for high quality settings and cameras that are not so distant from the pitch. With the default fifa camera I see everything also from the distance. For the next version I can insert the possibility to change also m242 and m243, but it would be risky. Why? Because no-one of the great 3d artists around here work on those low-quality models to make the same changes they make to the high quality model. This mean that I should use the high quality model also for those low-quality models... This could bring to more crashes and a lot of framerate loss!!!
So, unless 3d models creators don't start editing also low-quality models, I don't think I will really add this thing in the tool, in the future :(
By the way, you can edit the cfg_h.ini in the usual way to see different models also from a far camera.
2) About the crash with an edited bescene it is very strange, but tell me if you mean a loading match crash. If it is a loading match crash, it is possible that the game is not able to load a large amount of polygons, that is due to the fact that, for m232 medium-quality models, I have used the m200 high quality-models for the same reason above. So try to import models in zdata_97 and try to tick the checkbox about not switching m232 models and see if it works :)
There are no other reasons the game could crash because of an edited bescene... even if, for some reason, a model is missing, the game will show the player head without body, not crashing!!!
3) The game crashes on Alt+Tab only with cracked versions of the game... Also with them, the crash occurs always if you minimize the game while playing in gameplay, whereas if you minimize it while in the menu, the crash is less frequent.
4) As written in the Help file nobody reads, undershirts are visible only if the player has long sleeves set in the db...
P.S: Note that you can use this tool also as a fat controller :D :D :D

Armband Tool is done to have a model patched for different armbands for every team and to import same armband textures for different leagues...
This tool instead does not install textures, but only make sure that you can use the textures you imported with Armband Tool or CM by patching the models to see the different armbands of different teams.

About crushing all the points in one I don't mean that there is a way to really crush all points in one, but I mean only that you can put, with a bit of patience, all the points very very close one with the other and all in the same 1-2 pixels of the texture. Look at your model patched for armband patch (p200__.o) present in the tool package at the part 049 with UV Map and you will understand what I mean :)

ok i will check it out. OH and by the way i have finally made the C.ronaldo model. I will post it here 2day along with a readme.txt file. But tell me do i need to make a tucked-in and untucked version of it or will the switcher give the option to use the patch with bth? same is the case wth undershirts.

I noticed it's not because the size of 200s models compared to 242s and 243s. It's because fileread conflict, as I forced 200s model file for all 4 states. If 7 players use the same kit means the o file readed 28 times. So for 242 and 243, I use 232 model now, and the crash not too often anymore, even I coppied the 200s o files onto 232s o files.

From wat i c u are using the customs kits made by some kit maker and the undershirts are nt uv mapped to wrk with them bt are uv maed only to wrk with the defult ea 1s. I have fixed this problem and u can find them here on the 1sat page of this thread, in my first post with the untucked shirts and u can find the tucked-in version here :

Well mate, that's the problem... You are saying you are using 232 model for 242 and 243: the problem is that, until now, nobody of 3d modders around here, has done a real 232 model editing: they only take the m200 and copy it as m232. In this way you would have, another time, m242 and m243 like m200 with the consequential instability... If 3d modders start making changes also to the original Fifa 232 model I can surely make what you are saying: if they are not, it is too risky and not even worth trying ;)

That's very strange mate, but it could be another memory issue: are you sure that it is not the stadium to have this problem (like FIFA 07 stadiums have with new fifas)?
I sincerely don't see how models can have something in common with lines textures :D
Try not to switch m232 and tell me if you are still encountering problems ;)

I think I found out that everytime I quit FIFA I have to disable the Switcher. Then when before I start the game again, I enable it. Once in the game , it doesn't crash anymore during lineups , and I can switch models between matches.

My game used to crash when i had the skeptik model installed. After that i reinstall fifa without the model and it didn't crash. But i installed the switcher using the model and it crashes :S .

Yes, Duong is right. model is not the problem. The bescene.cs do.
Here is my tips, after edit using kit model switcher 10, you will get A NEW bescene.cs file. Use FileM10 and copy that file into zdata file (is it zdata04.big?), but you have to rename the file exactly like FESCENE.CS filename. It looks like a folder name.
I do this by save the filename in NOTEPAD. So everytime I did this, I just edit bescene.cs name using copy-paste.
Try it, and see if you can solve the crash problem.
If it still crash, and you really think my model as the reason, I don't think you will like my new untuck_right_chest_no_position which I will release next week together with techfit-like bodyfit model (http://www.soccergaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=161532). the former model have been edited heavily and uniquely.

No mate, you are right: it is not your model problem, I have tried and I have no problems. Moreover yesterday I tried several times to minimize fifa with the switcher and I had no crash. So it seems not to be so deterministic!
By the way I can make a switcher version that imports the bescene in zdatas. Just tell me if you think that this is REALLY the solution ;)
P.S: Please release your right number chest model :D

rcjperu 31-12-2009, 03:59:AM Outsider, One problem I found with the KMS is that every time I add a new model, the location of default model is other one but Original Tucked In, and what happens is that mixes my saved .kmc's , therefore they are useless. What I mean is that the order of the models change accordingly when you add new models.

This undershirt patch together with kit models switcher 10 is absolulety fantastic. It really enhances the look of the game but I've got a small problem that I'm sure you could help me with.
Some of the undershirts are the wrong colours namely Man city Home which is a dark blue as opposed to a light blue and Man city away kit which is a creamy colour as opposed to black.
Is there anyway to correct this easily,

you might have to remove the bescene file from the zdata.
