He said he's waiting to go...And he even said he thinks the Turkish League is very poor...
He's the Zahovic of the Turks! lol
Hey, can any Turks confirm this?
::shinji:: 21-11-2000, 04:24:AM there have been rumours for a while that he's coming to Benfica. I've read interviews in portuguese newspapers with jardel where he says he's looking forward to coming to benfica in december. so we'll have to wait and see.
GALATASARAY 21-11-2000, 06:40:AM i am turkish and i watch turkish soccer 3 days a week. i saw jardel talk live and accoring to him he does not want to leave galatasaray and neither his wife cause soccer players in turkey live like kings, jardel was brought by a helicopter from the airport. but our chairman said that who ever offers $30 million he is free. jardel is very happy in turkey, scored 16 goals in 12 matches. he have scored 38 league goals last season in the portuguese league, if the turkish league was to easy, why does not he scores 20-30 goals in 12 games. French player Nouma plays in besiktas(who came from rc lens), according to him the turkish league is hard cause it is not easy for him either to play soccer in turkey. i don't think galatasaray will let him go because we don't have hakan sukur any more. who is going to score? galatasaray don't have a descent goal scorer. if they let him go that means they are stupid. we got arif erdem back from real sociedad but he is not a goal scorer, he is a left/rigth wing who use to cros to hakan sukur. right now his job is to cros the ball to jardel.
but still we will see
chris what ever you read, they are rumors. it happens alot in turkey and it is business for the newspaper companies so for people can buy and read their news papers.
GALATASARAY 21-11-2000, 06:53:AM £10 million plus Holland star Pierre van Hooijdonk for jardel. now we are smart. i did not know about getting Hooijdonk from benfica. woooooooooooooooo
yessssssssssssss
when is jardel leaving.
and my mistake, jardel have scored 36 goals in 32 league matches last season in porto. i just made my corection. i don't think he have said that he is dissapointed with the turkish league's quality cause i did not hear it, it is a rumner. it is very hard to play in turkey. i mean it is not good as the seria a, premier league or the spanish league, but it is hard enough to play in turkey.
thanks alot for the great news chris.
regwright 21-11-2000, 06:54:AM I'm sorry, Jardel is too high a quality player to be toiling in the Turkish league ... he'd be better off playing in Brazil.
JARDEL9 21-11-2000, 07:59:AM jardel is a great plaer in gs and turkish league is very hard to play in because there are a lot of great teams like gala, besiktas, trabzon, fener, gaziantep, genclerbirli gi.i will name u all the stars u can get in these teams.
GALATASARAY:jardel,hagi,stars we sold:filipescu,,kubilay turkiyilmaz,adrian illie,hakan KRAL sukur,

GENCLERBIRLIGI http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/tongue.gifatrick(GK)BABANGIDA(yes the AJAX SUPERSTAR)
HAGI 10 21-11-2000, 01:13:PM Soccer media always create rumors about Jardel's transfer to Benfica! Even he may be bored of this crap! Turkish league may suck for many of you that don't follow the matches and the goals scored here! But the greatest enemy of turkish league here can't say anything about the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE that Galatasaray is playing in! Where is Benfica? Going to bankruptcy, sucking in the portugese league... Shut this crap if Jardel wats to go to Benfica in these conditions, he's a moron and I don't want a moron playing in Galatasaray, but I'm sure thathe doesn't want it!!!
HAGI 10 21-11-2000, 02:28:PM I want to add some more about Turkish league Jardel9 mentioned a little and I'll go on...
The world class foreign players of top teams in turkish league:
GALATASARAY: Mario Jardel(from Porto)-Gheorge Hagi-Gheorge Popescu(Barcelona) Claudio Taffarel(Reggiana,Brazilian NT Keeper in WC98)-Capone De Oliveira(Juventude)-Dos Santos Marcio(Portuguesa Sao Paolo)
BESIKTAS: Pascal Nouma (Lens)-Ike Shorunmu(Nigeria NT)-Khlestov(Spartak Moscow)-Miroslav Karhan(Real Betis) Coach: Nevio Scala
FENERBAHCE: Milan Rapajc(Perugia)-Kennett Andersson(Bologna)-Zoran Mirkovic(Juventus)-Elvir Baljic(Real Madrid)-Haim Revivo(Celta Vigo)
TRABZONSPOR: Rune Lange (Tromsø-Scored 23 goals last season in Norwegian League)
I didn't mention any of the turkish players,I don't expect you to know of them. Anyways what makes a league strong is not the strength of players that play in the NT of that country. It's the strength of the teams in that league that make the leagues good. For example, Portugal has spectacular players as Figo,Rui Costa...; Netherlands has Davids,Kluivert,Bergkamp,Overmars...;France has Zidane,Trezegeuet,Petit,Vieira...But all of these players play in foreign leagues! So how can they their local leagues stronger? No chance! They even cause the weaknesses of these leagues by playing in other countries' leagues. Got the point now???
Sérgio Pakinxa 21-11-2000, 03:09:PM It´s wrong, i am Portuguese and i read some interviews with Jardel and i never...never see he talking about the Turkish league is poor, he also said that the quality of turkish defenders is much better than the portuguese (forgive me for my bad english)
GALATASARAY 21-11-2000, 04:06:PM Sérgio Pakinxa:
thanks alot my friend for talking the truth. guys don't fall for rumors. they just want to target you thats all.
HAGI 10 21-11-2000, 05:59:PM I think they'll be happy if Jardel leaves Galatasaray, because they're jealous about the fact that world class strikers like Jardel can choose Turkish league!!! And i wouldn't change Pierre Van Hooidonk with Jardel. He's old and he's not a good finisher. If Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink or Henrik Larsson were asked for exchange, then I'd say yes!!!
RussianRocket 22-11-2000, 03:18:AM I read in a Russian newspaper his interview where he said that he was a little dissapointed with the level of the Turkish league, he thought it would be better, and he is dying to come back to Portugal.
The problem is that it is stupid not only come back to the country he lived in 5 months ago, but also to a league which is quite equal to Turkish...
If I would be him, I would have finished the season with Gala in Turkey, and then move to Spain, Italy, Germany, wherever...
HAGI 10: You could have added that Khlestov plays for Russian intl... Apart from that, he sucks in Besiktas and recently was put on the transfer list.... 10 full ears in Russian championship just showed that this guy cannot change the club...
Also, it looks like that Turkish league is good because of the foreigners.... And some guy from Turkey told me that Fenebahce spent about 60 million dollars on transfers last season.... it is funny because the highest sum ever played by a Russian club is 1 million dollars, and Spartak, for example spent about 2-3 million on transfers last season, and got about 10 million for their players, and Russian and Turkish leagues are pretty even.
What I mean by that is that it does NOT matter whether a league has good players or not. It's how they play. I am pretty sure that none of you know anyone from Spartak Moscow... but we are able to play ok against the budget giants clubs of Europe...
HAGI 10 22-11-2000, 11:45:AM RussianRocket:
-I wrote the foreign players because most of the people here would say "who is he" when I told them about Emre Belozoglu, the Turkish youngster(20 yrs old) who is the "Hagi of the future" for most of the sports writers.People know about players like Kennet Andersson that's because I want to mention the famous ones.
-Khlestov sucks from the beginning of the league, but he still has a chance because Besiktas lacks right wing and central defenders because of suspensions and injuries and he's starting to improve.
-We here in Turkey do not appriciate Fenerbahce about their huge budget and spending, but the team is going well in the league. You can't know though, last year they finished the league in a bad position and could't qualify for a european competition.
-Finally Galatasaray is still the strongest Turkish team in europe we will prove it again in the second phase matches!!!On sunday Galatasaray will play Fenerbahce in Ali Sami Yen! That will be a great match!
GALATASARAY 22-11-2000, 05:30:PM can't wait for that match. Gala vs Fener. one of the 2 big teams in the turkish league.
Fener spends money and have better players than Gala but they still not the best turkish team. they are trying so hard to end gala's 4 straight champions stric but it does not work.
Hagi10:
man are you saying Fener is good. Fener sucks. don't judge because they won a match 5-2. Fener always wins a week by 3-4 goals and then looses the next match. they are always been like that for the past year. This year they won't be the champions, Besiktas or Gala will be the turkish champions.
HAGI 10 22-11-2000, 05:56:PM I know that Fener sucks, and if they don't make a miracle we'll kick their @sses!!!But I want Fenerbahce and other turkish teams to be strong, that's gonna make our league good! And I want them to represent turkish football in high levels of european competition so that we wouldn't have to prove the improvement of turkish football here in this forum.
I can't wait for the match either and I hope the referee doesn't suck like Uls Meier!!!
HAGI 10 22-11-2000, 07:16:PM GALATASARAY:
I'm not even a small fan of Fener! Especially their fans with complexes suck! They'll never understand the fact that GALATASARAY RULES!!! Fanatism blinded them!
Chris16 23-11-2000, 04:29:AM Guys I REALLY think he wants out:
www.onefootball.com/fullstory.phtml?newsid=61149 (http://www.onefootball.com/fullstory.phtml?newsid=61149)
GALATASARAY 23-11-2000, 06:30:AM HAGI 10:
i am not a big fener fan. i would like to see besiktas, trabzonspor, gaziantep any team, but fener. i hate them and their fanatic crazy no good fans. we have them here in canada and they always start a fight or an argument.
Manny 23-11-2000, 08:34:PM Jardel is lying! He said to the turkish medias that he liked the club and that he wants to stay for a long time. At the same time he keeps telling the portugese medias that he want to leave Turkey as fast as possible, and when he is confronted with his statements he made in the portugese medias by the turkish press, he denies it all.
I wonder whats wrong with that guy, why doesnt he just tell what he wants to do, so Galatasaray and their fans will know for sure, if they are going to sell or keep him!
GALATASARAY 23-11-2000, 10:23:PM Manny:
you believe all that crap?
no don't believe the writings on the site. they are rumers big time. they just want people visiting the site for more votes, thats all, thats why they are making it look interesting writing some crap we turks or the portuguese never herd of.
