i'm back in business with tools... so i was speaking with doung over msn and we came on idea ... 2gk kits for FIFA 10.. i mean, FIFA already uses crappy kits even if u have very good computer, but with 2GK kits it will definitely look better and you kitmakers will have much more space to make kits and import high quality logos ect..
so what do you think about that?
i can probably create tool for importing kits... let me hear all your ideas, do we need DOUBLE size kits or we do not?

Bigger and higher quality kits are always good! Therefore I would like to be able to import 2G Kits into FIFA10 ... as long as it doesn't cause the game to crash(!) :)
Also it would be nice to add this feature to CM10 :)
mogolos 03-01-2010, 01:41:PM 2gk kits make game crash especially when we have a game beetween teams and players with their special faces, flags, adboards, shoes and stadiums. for examle a game Barca V Real. I tested it past year and I met a lot of bugs. moreover zdata.big files become too fat and make problems. I personally do not like this and to be sure I let 1gk. But you, if you like, you can go forward. and good luck!

There is really no need to have more than 1024*512 kits size. A better solution is to take away the mipmap from the kit fsh file and use a better compression!

In CM you could change everything, except surnames. cmc211 04-01-2010, 04:44:PM There isn't any special reason to add 2gk kits in game. I would prefer adding more faces or other graphics instead of updating kits if I have same fat limit. Also, if we look far away from player, quality isn't that different. It is just able to find a small difference when we look close. And people might add quite teams or leagues, 2gk may be a waste of space.

Fuspa 04-01-2010, 04:46:PM I know of editors who make 2GK balls and adboards and makes no problem, I mean 1024 x 1024 balls, Ive seen it and the quality is awesome :D good luck !

The ball is one texture to load in the match, kits are 22 (+3 referees) textures to be loaded!!! The thing is much different!
