Lilian Thuram's "thinking" celebration after his 2nd goal in the World Cup, Christophe Dugarry's "sticking his tongue out at the crowd" after his header in World Cup or Gabriel Batistuta's "arm swinging" one against England in World Cup.

I reckon the one that one of the Bayern Munich players did in the Champions League was pretty cool, it may have been Kufour - he was black with short black hair - he ran over to the camera and put a really goofy expresion on.

that nigerian in the olympics was good too, he did a backflip or something

Disappointed to see Liverpool's Robbie Fowler not sniffing the line whenever he scores.

Now that WAS a goal celebration

What about Bebeto's goal celebration in WC'94 when Brazil played againts Holland, it has been a classic, anyone still remember it?

Bit obscure this one

Mixu Paatelainen, when at Aberdeen scored 4 in a game once. When the 4th went in, he stood on the line and signalled a goal, as if he were an Aussie Rules Football Umpire.

Maybe you had to be there

Dean Windass (former Hull, Aberdeen - now at Bradford) had a classic at Hull.

Hull were awarded a dodgy penalty at the Grimsby end in a local derby. Windass stepped up to take it, only to have a full beer can thrown at him. He opened it up, took a swig, then scored the penalty.

He then downed the rest of the can, and gave it back to the Grimsby fans.

good one.

Bergkamp is always so passionate when he gets a goal, He always roars his celebration.
(Doesn't score that much anymore tho..)
Kanu's salute and Henry's corner flag are also good, but the prize has to go to Christopher Wreh's backflips.
(Hasn't done one of them in over two years!)

Actually no, THIS is the celebration of pure class, and it's the one I use when I score in football:
In '94 World Cup, Finidni George scored against Greece. He then ran over to the corner flag, dropped to all-fours, sniffed the corner flag, and then cocked his leg like a dog!!!!!!!!
JUST BRILLIANT!!

Kennet Andersson did that celebration every time he scored in WC'94. It eventually rendered him a bronze medal!

Sergio isn't black either, he is Brazilian or one of the countries from South America...I think

I think it has to be one of Christopher Wreh's celebrations, he did the coolest backflips etc.

Or maybe Bebeto and Romario
(WC'94 - rock the baby)

Has to be Hector Farias celebration after Beauxis scored for Racing in Copa Uruguaya 1966, the Argentinian Calla made a center to Dominguez but he was heavily marked so Beauxis moved foword and with tremendus power scored a beatifull header, then Farias, who had began the play, Hanged himself on the net and brought down the Goal. You could say he literatly brought the house down...

How about Dely Valdez on Sunday ?? He scored a goal, went behind the line , suddenly had a cellular phone in his hand and started to speak with someone while everyone around him was celebrating, petty cool i thought

The best celebration ive seen didnt come while watching although i have seen some good ones i think my team m8s in a sunday league match would take some beating.

We where 2-0 down in the match at half time, turned it around in the second half got back to 2-2 and with a few mins to go this team m8 scores the winner then proceeds to run arms flailing towards a farmers field behind the goal he had just scored in he then jumped over the fence ripped off his shirt and began doing an impression of a bullfighter with the farmers cows top laugh funniest thing ive ever seen while playing and an insperational celebration.

Two seasons ago, when Zidane scored for Juve (dont remember against who or in what competition), he jumped up onto the advertising behind the goal and tried to stand up and stacked off the edge onto the floor......that was one of the funniest things id seen that season.

As far as actual celebrations go, the classic "clean the shoes" celebration that Inter players seem to do quite alot.
Also Batistuta's (not sure if he is the original) firing the machine gun....

I reckon that one of the most original Ive seen is the Chelsea "photo" from a couple of seasons back. Once, Brain Laudrup had scored, and he just ran in front of the journalists end, and slid across, lying down dead centre. This was obviously rehearsed, cos the rest of the team followed, and I remember the next day reading the paper, and the picture taken came out really well.

One for the album you could say... http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif

My second favourite celebration though is definitely the Dentists chair, and I think I need not say who did that...

Oh, and Paulo Sergio is Brazilian.

One of my absolute favourites was Tomas Brolin's leap into the air with a 360 spin.
Used 3 times in WC'94.

Another crazy celebration was when Vlaovic socrd the goal for 2-0 or was it 3-0 against Germany in the 98 world cup, where he cind of nodded aknowledging that his goal ws pretty neat, remember that one. Or when Jarni scored the goal for 1-0, which was by the way his first international goal, where he first went on his knees prayed to god, laid down flat and went nuts!!! Now those were celebrations!!!! CROATIA RULES!!! http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
