If you've got the PC version not too many surprises . The game is beautiful to look at and the through pass feature finally works. Yes theres a power bar and the ingame sounds are brilliant. The game plays extraordinary well and no there are no names on the back as reported by some idiot earlier. Squads are good and the menus are easy to use. You can customize kits and players.

The players are the best i've ever seen and anyone that even thinks that ISS is better than this is talking out their behind. Now I haven't seen the full version of the new ISS for PS2 but what I have seen does not compare with what EA is getting out of the PS2.

Man U defence is messed up they have Both Nevilles and Irwin in the starting squad but you can fix that. You can change squad numbers and names so don't have a kitten.

The kits look great but as you all know Eidos(Man city)Dreamcast (Arsenal) and all the alcohol companies (tottenham leeds liverpool) are not featured on the teams jerseys. However these are the authentic shirts made by addidas umbro reebok minus the sponsors names.

There are more stadiums available and you do have the option of selecting the stadium you want to play in as well as adjusting the weather.

For you purist out there, the players now move very well and this allows you to beat defenders with quick turns and changes of pace instead of always using the 360 turn button, the other skill option with the stepover is also very good and yes you can noe score long range goals I scored a cracker from 40 yds out with Paul scholes, the goalkeeper punched it out and Scholes smacked it back in wih a volley, magic.

This the first PS2 soccer title and unlike Dreamcasts horrific Striker it is brilliant. ISS has a lot to overcome and I hope they do because this just makes the games better.

If you've got a PS2 buy it and buy Madden too that is the most brilliant game I have ever played on a console and yes I have NFL2k1.

If there is a moan this seems to be almost a straight port from Pc whereas madden is an entirely different game to its Pc counterpart. In Madden the jumbotron is the actual live action of the game as well as the scoreboadd depicting the actual score and time. these are two things Fifa should have incorporated as well as the names on the shirts. there that wasn't painful was it?

Peace

If it's a straight port from the PC then ISS Evolution has nothing to worry about - ISS has never been about the graphics, it's been about the gameplay.

If Fifa PS2 is just like Fifa 2001 for the PC then there's still scripted ball physics and the eye-candy powerbar. Good for arcade football, not good for people (like me) who want a simulation.

Oh, and the first ISS game for the PS2 is going to be made by KCEO - the same idiots that made the CRAP ISS 2000, so I'll be waiting for ISS Pro Evolution 2.

It's purely an arcade game, the play is very fast like Fifa and the dribbling is way to easy just like Fifa too. The ball physics are still non-scripted, but not as dynamic nor realistic as ISS Pro Evolution. Really, if you want an arcade soccer game that ISN'T Fifa 2001, then ISS 2000 would be a good choice. But don't play ISS 2000 and expect it to be nearly as good as or better than ISS Pro Evolution - they're made by two different programming teams and their miles apart in terms of realism.

ISS 2000 DOES have a licence though...just incase you couldn't figure out who Bekhem, Skoles, or Keene were in ISS Pro Evolution.

Dear friend:

Does the version for PS2 do this?:

Have you noticed that teams controled by the computer never score a header.
Why is the reason to have a header if the AI will never use it.... do you know why?

Try to do this, do not play with any side, let the computer take care of both teams, like watching a TV match, and you will find out that the player never hit the ball with the heads, even less to score a header goal, like FIFA 97!!!!! jua!!!! I still can belive it!

Why, what did they do to muck up ISS 2000?
Just curious.
