Who is on the cover of FIFA 2001 in your country? and do you have that new plastic case design like a video tape case, rather than the regular card boxes that pc games come in?

p.s. Paul Scholes is on the UK cover in the white England home kit.

In the U.S. we got some MLS dude I think his name is Jaime Moreno. I don't know for sure because I don't follow crap leagues.

U know wat, in my country, the price of a original copy FIFA 2001 is MYR109.00 (which is about USD29.00) and a pirated copy is MYR8.00 (about USD2.10) or even cheaper, so if u were here, which one will u buy? One more thing, u can buy a pirated copy game almost everywhere, but u can only get the original one from the shops around city centre.

Hey...
Here in Canada, we have Ben Olsen, now on loan with Nottingham Forest, but in his stupid MLS Kit. EVERY YEAR EA sticks us with dumb MLS players. Get a life, we are a former British colony, largely British descended, and care mostly for the English Premier League. At least if not someone from the EPL, but someone from Scotland or Italy, two other leagues that are followed closely here.

Well sadly for Canada, these are the things you have to suffer for not being a British colony anymore <g>

p.s Are there many Man Utd fans over there?

We have Gheorge Hagi of Galatasaray on the cover in Turkey. Unfortunately it's no good..No play by play is available for Galatasaray we can't pick them up in any tournaments, not even custom ones http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/frown.gif

Here in Sweden we have Edgar Davids with his glasses on the cover. Don´t know why really! And yes, the game is in a plastic case this year - not as big manuals as last time around...

Paul 'Red Nuts' Scholes was on my cover here in Perth,Australia. God Bless him .. i think he is also one of the highest rated players in the game? Higher than Figo even! cool .. wrong but cool http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Here in Austria we have the same edition like in Germany... *sigh* , same picture of Matthäus. Bad thing about this version:
Sometimes, I really begged for an austrian commentary, I do not really like the german one :-) (nimms nicht persönlich, Bayern_Munich *gg* )

Greetings from Austria,
Martin.

Here in Portugal it's Sá Pinto from Sporting Clube de Portugal (no my team).
I'm very sad. Does anyone know why the National team of Portugal is not included (we finished 3rd with Holland in Euro 2000) nor the Clubs from Portugal?

Here in Brazil we get Leonardo on the cover.

If you don't remember who Leonardo is: he's a veteran midfielder who played a lot in the brazilian squad (1994 World Cup). I don't remember where he's playing now, but in Europe.

And our play-by-play on the game is total crap - the guys translated literally the british commentary instead of using proper brazilian expressions. So it sounds stupid. (but who cares - this game rules anyway http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif)

Cheers!

Yea - I am all for improving the US Soccer Federation, but not now. I don't feel like looking at this guy I hardly know, and 99 percent of the world has no clue who he is, except the "MLS Fans" in the US. The MLS is just a bunch of old-timas playing, so I don't know why we have him on there, I'd rather have Matthäus or Scholes then Ben Olson. As for the US - weren't we a colony once? Oh yea, that's right we were, but our volunteers beat the British army. haha. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

But I liked your "Jaime Morano" guess as to who the guy on the cover was. hehe
