I've noticed several teams in the UCL (and in fact in their domestic leagues) have a small oval blue patch on their left sleeve with the number of European Cup victories on (Milan, Real, Liverpool) - yet some who have won it in the past (United) do not.

Is there a criteria for a club to have this patch (obviously they would need to have won the European Cup) as it puzzles me why United don't wear one.

I was wondering the same thing...

Maybe United don't feel they need to show off how many trophies they've won on their sleeve...

You gain the right to wear it by either winning 3 in a row or 5 plus European cups/Champions League.
