View Full Version : So... ISS 2000 (n64) or Fifa 2001 (PC) Schumacher 01-11-2000, 01:47:AM ? Atiom 01-11-2000, 02:03:AM I say ISS EVOLUTION http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif just the best Neutral 01-11-2000, 02:57:AM ISS 2000 for the N64 isn't made by the same programming team that made ISS Pro Evolution - and I've read that it's not nearly as good. LiverpoolFAN 01-11-2000, 04:36:AM I've played the fifa2001 demo and the ISS 2000 on n64, and ISS is a far better game. In fifa 2001 everything feels scripted, while in ISS anything can happen. I havent played ISS Pro Ev (im looking for it though) but ISS 2000 is still a lot better than fifa. It takes a lot more skill to score a goal than in Fifa where u can just 360 all across the field. The dribbling is alot better also, and there is a wider variety of goals you can score. Also, in fifa the heading is so unrealistic, the headers go as fast as the shots, while it takes skill to cross the ball correctly and actually head it on target in iss. You can also curve the ball in Iss 2000. ISS is a much better game even though it has a bit of an arcade feel to it, it plays a much better game than fifa. That is it. It can be frustrating at times in trying to score a goal. Furthermore, its control is quite out of place. Maybe I'm used to Fifa's control. Fifa 2001's gameplay has been vastly improved. I suspect it will be difficult to play in world class mode. So far, the highest scoreline I have reached is 3-0. That is only at the professional stage. With the implementation of the power bar, you will not be able to hit the net very frequently. And the goalies are really good. Lastly, likings of a game is a subjective matter. Leave at it is. No one thing is superior to another. There are always pro and cons. Signing off for good. iceboy83 01-11-2000, 05:29:PM ISS review: http://www.geocities.com/jay_connolly/JIKKYOWINNING112000.html I like this part: But can it compete with FIFA 2001, which is set to debut worldwide some time around the American launch (and maybe even earlier)? EA has really made some strides with its footie game, and Konami will have some strong competition on their hands. ------------ iceboy UKL 02-11-2000, 01:26:AM I play ISS 98 a lot and think that it is the best soccergame I ever played (so far). ISS 2000 seems to be even more realistic than the precursor (I played it at a media store). e.g. You can edit the players´ height and weight. Konami couldn´t get a license, so you´d have to edit all the player´s names... I played the FIFA 2001 demo but I couldn´t form a judgement. Don´t get me wrong it looks fantastic but you can´t play with tower camera. Can you believe this ? It´s almost unplayable with the demos´ camera perspective... Mentholica 02-11-2000, 01:32:AM It's been said so many times.....change cameraviews with f1 to f4!!! UKL 02-11-2000, 11:49:PM Well, now I read it for the FIRST time. |
