View Full Version : Who will win serie A?
Juventus 13-06-2001, 05:12:AM Who's gonna take it? Will Roma be able to hang on, or will they falter and lose on the last day of the season (just like Juve last year  ) And will Juventus or Lazio be able to take advantage of Roma's mediocrity of late? The way it lines up is that Roma must win to capture the scudetto. If they tie or lose that leaves the possibility of Juve or Lazio to sneak in. Lazio can only tie Roma and than would have to go to a playoff. Juve can win outright if they win and Roma lose. I guess you can probably tell who I support. Forza Juve!!!!! :D :D :D
Sukur_54 13-06-2001, 05:16:AM NAPOLI will win lol ;)
El_GaLLo 13-06-2001, 06:29:AM I want either Lazio or Roma to win the scudetto. I like Veron, Crespo, Simeone, Piojo Lopez, Castroman on Lazio and I like Batistuta on Roma. Batistuta deserves to win the scudetto once after being the most consistent goal scorer for the last few years in Italy. Forza ROMA!!
flyer884 13-06-2001, 07:03:AM AC Milan! they will win it because of shevchenko.
Dhruv 13-06-2001, 07:07:AM if batistuta is consistent then shevchenko is superhuman scoring goals like hell in serie A
El_GaLLo 13-06-2001, 08:42:AM Crespo is superhuman as well then. :D
Amika 13-06-2001, 09:06:AM it is going to be interesting to the end of the italian season... this is more like a league... :D
andylau 13-06-2001, 11:24:AM Although I'm a Lazio supporter, (well, at least in Serie A) but my vote goes for AS Roma.
Reason? Just like El_GaLLO said, I think Batistuta deserves something for all his magnificent talents. He's the most consistent scorer in the League for almost a decade. He scores around 20 goals per season, injured or not.
But most of all, I'll hate it if Juve ever won. Hope the refree don't do what they did the last two seasons in trying to screw other team of the title just because it's Juve.
Can't stop the rush... 13-06-2001, 11:26:AM Roma will hang on. :)

You're probably right, they seem to be able to find a way. I also heard that their game against parma may be played somewhere else because of the riots that the fans have been involved with. Is that true?
dragan84 13-06-2001, 01:29:PM although Roma will probably end up winning it, i hope Juve can make it..... ;) :D
Amika 13-06-2001, 03:17:PM it is sad to see fans riots for soccer matches... totally unacceptable behaviour... :(
El_GaLLo 13-06-2001, 09:29:PM I would think Roman would win the scudetto. The funny thing is if Batistuta doesn't win this year with Roma he will commit himself to a mental hospital. Ha hA :D He is obsessed with winning since he hasn't been able with Fiorentina. I think Roma deserves to win.

:) :D ;) :p
Help? 13-06-2001, 10:13:PM Hope Roma and Juventus will lose and Lazio win, so they would take a cup! And there's 1-0 in the Italian cup final Parma is leading and 1-1 on aggregate.

only problem with that is that Lazio would have to play Roma in a playoff.
My smart friend sitting next to me suggests that you all put your money on Man Utd to win Serie A! LOL!
Help? 13-06-2001, 11:26:PM LOL! Did he put money on Man Utd?(probably not) If he did, then how much?
andylau 14-06-2001, 04:27:AM Can I take his bet? Any amount is acceptable. :D
Sukur_54 14-06-2001, 06:14:AM viva TORINO!!!! ;)
