Which card is better for playing
FIFA2001, Geforce2 or Voodoo5?
I have a TNT2 pro and wish to upgrade.

nVIDIA's geo force 2 is the best graphics card on the market at the moment. The voodoo 5 is slighly worse, the geoforce 2 is the best and makes for a very well rendered experience. Make sure that it is the geoforce 2 and not geoforce 1 though, because if you comparing voodoo 5 with geoforce 1, voodoo comes out on top.

Loyalties aside wether u have an nvidia or 3dfx based card there is no doubt and dont take my word 4 it nvidia is definatley better than 3dfx in overall quality and performance. I myself have seen both the Geforce 2 and Voodoo 5 in action and the Geforce 2 is definatley better, no wonder microsoft and the rest choose nvidia to power their next generation gaming consoles. I personally love 3dfx, I had a pure3d voodoo 1 based card and it rocked but times have changed nvidia is now #1 without a doubt.

From what I have seen and read I recommend a Geforce 2 based card and with nvidia's supurb reference driver support u cant loose!!

Upgrade you CPU to 733-1000mhz first, then if Fifa 2001 does not run well, wait for Geforce 2 Gts's price to drop further.
I have a Geforce 2 GTS with 550mhz, and it is as good as running a 933 with tnt-2. And buying a graphics card can only improve games while upgrading your cpu improves everything!

Yup....its true that upgrading your processor improves EVERYTHING!My PC is at 733mhz and I have a TNT2 Pro 3D card and it is like having a GeForce 2 running on my PC!!!

GeForce is a complete waste of money!!!! What's the point of getting T&L if no games support it??!! The last card had that, and now there's a new card out it means that everyone who got the last card wasted loads of dosh!!! Voodoo has the best compatablity with games anyway, there's no point having a "great card" if it dont work with the game!!

i have just one think to say, FIFA 2001 demo runs perfect, yes i sad perfect on my P3 500 winth my dear Viper 770 ... hehe, damn, the performance is 2 times better than in F2K ... When 3DFXvoodoo 1 was released it was god.
but, Voodoo 5 is NOTHING compared to The Geforce 2 (or 1 with ddr ram)
