View Full Version : Frank de Boer Suspended for a year!!
Silencer 15-06-2001, 12:05:AM I'm really pissed off at the moment, that goddamn UEFA suspended F. de Boer for one whole year! ARE THEY MAD
How can you destroy the career of such an integer player for crying out loud  His contract with Barcelona will probably not be renewed and he can't play for WC 2002 if Holland qualifies that is. No de Boer and Davids, both captains ruled out for the Dutch team, what a loss.
I hope they can find good substitutes cause it's going to be real tough to play without them. According to the lawyers the measuring equipment is not good and not accurate and believe me, more players will fall because this Nandrolon-thing. They have to make new rules for that drug otherwise you're just a walking target as a footballer.
STRIKE is what I say just like in the USA when the NBA-players stopped playing.
If I was a professional footballer, I would really consider that option S T R I K E!!!
F*CK THE UEFA AND F*CK THE FIFA, BLATTER AND JOHANSSON EAT SH*T
They can't prove that players actually took the drug, they want to set an example.

El_GaLLo 15-06-2001, 01:14:AM Now can you imagine when they suspended Maradona in 94 World Cup! For same thing and Argentina was cleaning house and heading for it's 3rd World Cup win. That sucks just as bad I'm with you **ck FIFA!!
Edward_ Black 15-06-2001, 01:39:AM "Fernando Couto: 14 months" ... whatever did he get that for, was it for taking drugs or bad conduct, man thats a hard sentence .. Ned
Silencer 15-06-2001, 01:43:AM Cauto received the suspension for 14 months because of the same damn thing NANDROLON can you f*cking believe it and just like de Boer and Davids THEY CAN'T PROVE A DAMN THING
They just want to set an example, change the damn rules is what they need to do or other great players will await the same thing trust me
AGAIN F*CK THE FIFA AND THE UEFA!!!!
Edward_ Black 15-06-2001, 01:55:AM Nandrolin ..Anobolic Steroids .. heres a short clip that i just sniped ...Ned
Possibly the most infamous case in the modern history of drug use by an athlete is Ben Johnson (Canada). Johnson won the 100 meter dash at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, but lost the gold medal when he tested positive for anabolic steroids. He was later reinstated to compete in track meets, but tested positive again in 1993, thus earning a lifetime ban from the sport.
Some athletes have never tested positive for drugs, but the cloud of suspicion remains. Lasse Viren (Finland), who won four Olympic gold medals (2 at 5,000m and 2 at 10,000m) was accused of blood doping.
Florence Griffin Joyner (U.S.), who won Olympic gold medals at 100m and 200m in 1988, was suspected of using performance enhancing drugs. Her death only fueled the controversy.
Frankly, the situation is a mess.
Are current tests reliable?
Could an athlete take a banned substance by mistake? The IAAF, track's governing body, hopes to research this possibility to learn if there is a connection between food supplements/herbal remedies and doping.
Governing bodies of all sports need to get tougher on the outright cheaters in their sports who take performance enhancing drugs knowingly.
Right now, it's easier said than done.
Mishkin 15-06-2001, 02:15:AM OH MY GOD!!!!!!! HOW CAN THEY DO THAT TO HOLLAND. I THINK THEY ARE INNOCENT. I REALLY HATE FIFA NOW. FIRST THEY TAKE AWAY FOOTOFGOD.COM AND NOW THIS!!!
Amika 15-06-2001, 04:06:AM you can't compare the maradona case with de boer case... as i think that maradona know exactly what he is doing...
The FIFA RTWC Webmaster 15-06-2001, 05:00:AM And how can you be so sure that Davids and De Boer didn't know?

Alenitchev 15-06-2001, 07:15:AM Lasse Viren was suspected of blood boosting, basically removing a certain quantity of blood and injecting it minutes before the race. As it wasn't exposed to chemichal materials, it was almost undetectable.
Maradona's case... I believe that he was smart enough to don't take drugs during the world cup... however we're talking about a player that wasted his career in cocaine and shot two journalists with a air-pressure rifle. Very strange case anyway.
Boskov said some years ago that in Italy some players were built on creatine, including Del Piero. Strangely only minor italian players were cought
Then, it's impossible to talk abut doping with out mentioning the US sports. in the NBA there are players who admit they smoke pot, the NFL has probably a cool 80% of drug-addict players (including cocaine, heroine, and all kind of pain killers and anti-depression pills). The olympic team is also under suspect. PJ Hunter was clearly on doping before the Olypic games. Unfortunately for him, he was cought, and half the world has suspictions about whats going on in there... just like Eastern Germany.
Amika 15-06-2001, 09:06:AM well, we can't comment anything about both cases... only themselves know whether they are guilty or not??
Jari Litmanen 15-06-2001, 10:52:AM A lot of Finnish atheletes have been caught for drugs recently.
Our entire nordic ski team was wiped out cause they all used drugs they were all banned by FIS for 2 years. Our best skier Mika Myllylä was given a 2 year ban and retired because of it. I think he won 5 or 6 golds in the world championships in Austria and in Finland's world Championships he had won 1 gold medal and missed the rest cause he was sick. He lost his medals when he was banned for substance abuse. Plus 6 other skiers were caught and are all out for 2 years. There goes our world's best nordic ski team now that is a blow if anything!
Lasse Viren was suspected for using blood boosting but I believe he never used drugs. He must be the best runner ever along with legend Paavo Nurmi (greatest runner ever). Viren fell down in the Montreal Olympics got up continued and won the race. He caught everyone up. That is the greatest finish in Olympic history incredible determination.
Davids and De Boer are some of y favuorite players. Great ambassadors to football I find it deeply sad to see these two out for such a long period. Nobody will ever know did they really use nandronol or not. This must come as a bigger blow to Holland's hopes of succeeding in the World Cup.

Luc Nilis 15-06-2001, 01:38:PM Cauto received the suspension for 14 months because of the same damn thing NANDROLON can you f*cking believe it and just like de Boer and Davids THEY CAN'T PROVE A DAMN THING
Yes they can prove it, they just did.
But, only thing they can't prove is if he took it on purpose, or someone putted in he's drinks or food...
Root Coolit 15-06-2001, 11:27:PM IFFFFFFFFFF Davids and de Boer took anything then THEY DID know what they were doing.
Maradona KNEW what he was doing.
Another thing, why do you think my hero bowed out of WC '94 suddenly, cuz he knew that he was going to be caught,..... eventually. snort snort snort.
