Van Bronckhorst linked to Arsenal
GIOVANNI van Bronckhorst will turn to close friend Dennis Bergkamp to help him decide if his future lies with Arsenal.
The Highbury club is in talks with Rangers to secure the services of the highly-rated midfielder after a move to Chelsea collapsed.
Arsenal is reported to have offered ₤8.5m for the Dutchman's signature and van Bronckhorst admits that he would be tempted by the lure of Premiership football.
The Dutch player said he was "flattered" by Arsenal's reported interest in him.
Said the Dutch international: "I will be speaking to Dennis Bergkamp soon.
"He has experience of the Premiership and, of course, Arsenal, and he is a good friend of mine. We've played together many times for the Dutch side and his views will help me decide.
"I can trust Dennis to tell me the truth and he will let me know what I can expect.
"I think I know already because Arsenal are such a big club with a great history and tradtion. In many ways they are just like Rangers. It's flattering to hear that a player like Patrick Viera will stay at Highbury if I sign.
"He is an exceptional player and I would love to play alongside him in midfield."
Van Bronckhorst believes Wenger's side has similar ambitions to those of Rangers and tipped Arsenal to challenge Manchester United for the league title. - BBC.

Jan Vennegoor
Sunderland has lost out in the battle for the striker who has now signed for Dutch champion PSV Eindhoven.
He has agreed a five-year-deal and is seen as the ideal replacement for Ruud van Nistelrooy, who left PSV for Man U.
