Bad goalkeeping.

You are eluding to the fact that he decided to dive(to the left...although, as I say below, he did NOT dive in that direction, but rather just flinched exhibiting the very slightest diving motion in that direction) as soon as the ball was strike. With such a copious amount of swerve on the ball, his decision to dive was not vindicated because the ball curved in the opposite direction as his (or anyone else's) instinct told him it would curve in. While he did NOT commit to a dive(to the left) the initial motion in that direction combined with a WORLD CLASS finish was enough to do him in.

Furthermore, let me tell you that ANY other human being, including Lev Yashin, would NOT be able to stop that goal....even if they stood their ground rather than diving.

It was a FANTASTIC Strike!

I was eluding to the fact that he was standing out of position five meters in front of his goal. Nakamura hits it well but there's a ton of goalkeepers out there that could have saved it.

He's an acquired taste. There are streams now and more games broadcast, but I remember having to watch the 2000 Olympics (17 year old Landon Donovan sitting on the bench for most of it because of a stupid coach) with this guy announcing and as the games went on I started to like him more and more.
