Good thread. Please move it to the soccer forum. My personal favorite of recent times: _dpY9AKUwhU& newbie original 22-04-2011, 03:26:AM From Shaolin Soccer: GAME: Celtic vs Rangers (Final Score = 2-1 for Celtic) COMPETITION: Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League STADIUM: Celtic Park LOCATION: Glasgow, SCOTLAND PLAYER: Shunsuke Nakamura....this was the opening goal of the game 7M7JnXm21YQ&feature 0:35 to 0:37 = WOW! Date: April 16, 2008 Nady 22-04-2011, 04:10:AM ^sweet goal. One of the most impressive goals I've seen as well is Pele's "most beautiful" goal according to himself. For those of you who don't know, there was no video footage of that goal, so it has been reproduced as a video simulation as per Pele's request. zVngjcFsGkE Nimreitz 22-04-2011, 06:56:AM My first thought was this: mcGA2W4d5_E But then I remembered this: ALJu7YPMNBI mvanegmond04 22-04-2011, 07:02:AM Newcastle Jets VS Adelaide United Hyundai A-League 2006-07, Rnd 10 Stuck at 1-1 after 89' mins, Nicky Carle, one of the leagues best, at that time, produces a superb solo goal: Nngo_LkHbac Jaboldinho 22-04-2011, 09:03:AM 0WELcgMSeCI&feature=related Messi's first goal for Barcelona. They tried the move earlier, but IIRC, it was called offside. Date: April 16, 2008 Bad goalkeeping. You are eluding to the fact that he decided to dive(to the left...although, as I say below, he did NOT dive in that direction, but rather just flinched exhibiting the very slightest diving motion in that direction) as soon as the ball was strike. With such a copious amount of swerve on the ball, his decision to dive was not vindicated because the ball curved in the opposite direction as his (or anyone else's) instinct told him it would curve in. While he did NOT commit to a dive(to the left) the initial motion in that direction combined with a WORLD CLASS finish was enough to do him in. Furthermore, let me tell you that ANY other human being, including Lev Yashin, would NOT be able to stop that goal....even if they stood their ground rather than diving. It was a FANTASTIC Strike! Zlatan 23-04-2011, 09:03:AM I was eluding to the fact that he was standing out of position five meters in front of his goal. Nakamura hits it well but there's a ton of goalkeepers out there that could have saved it. Ilaje 23-04-2011, 09:50:AM Tcr5eEmxW24 the second goal obviously (first goal was pretty sweet) especially the celebration. QbiwkkU3rCQ Great header, by a great player. Oh my. He's an acquired taste. There are streams now and more games broadcast, but I remember having to watch the 2000 Olympics (17 year old Landon Donovan sitting on the bench for most of it because of a stupid coach) with this guy announcing and as the games went on I started to like him more and more. Funny looking back at the squads that Xavi and Puyol were on the Spanish team that knocked out the USA. virtual_razvan 24-04-2011, 03:39:PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYPHhfSt4bE How to embed?
