///CRO/// Tommy 30-04-2011, 03:38:PM FIFA 12 introduces the ‘Impact Engine’ which properly tracks and formulates contact between players, including their hips, knees etc.
The AI will also keep track of areas of the body players have been injured during a match. Players can also become injured off the ball if abused too much, especially late in the game.
FIFA 12 also introduces ‘AI Vision Game’ (rough translation), which promises to make passing more realistic. If you try to complete a pass to a player that’s not within visible range, for example, it’s less likely you’ll complete the pass. EA hopes this will get rid of “blind passing”.
Personality Plus is more developed and should influence AI players’ passes this time.
AI is said to be “more human”, with each player acting more or less according to his abilities. One example given is when an AI player sees Fabregas coming towards him with the ball, he’ll act more carefully.
OPM describes “new presentation” of matches in FIFA 12, which are said to be very much inspired by English football crowds.
The game includes three new arenas, this time with integrated benches along the sidelines and “impressive lighting effects” according to OPM France.
Integration of a new short dribble with the left stick.
The game features a new camera that’s noticeably closer to the ground.
There’s also a new menu interface that appears to be simpler and more ergonomic than before
This will be awesomee:)))

bhuwansingh92 05-05-2011, 03:11:AM The first FIFA 12 details are starting to sneak out, via the French version of Official PlayStation Magazine.
According to rough translations of the magazine, this year's footy sim is set to include an 'Impact Engine' which realistically tracks player contact and injuries, plus "more human" player AI.
The first FIFA 12 screenshot was released by EA Sports earlier this month.

newsflash buddy, that could simply be an image he switches to, you dont see any gameplay on that monitor do you ?
not to mention console is coded on pc, making it simply a screen from console as its only in the video for 1/2 a second.
dont be so gullible, sounds like a retard could con you.
Generic Oval 13-05-2011, 11:18:PM Seconds of gameplay would prove nothing, since FIFA 12 still looks a lot the same.
In my opinion the menu screen is probably the most striking argument you can get (besides an official announcements of course). Moreover, what sense would it make for EA to show some guys playing a version of a game on a PC when that game doesn't actually exist that way. Afterall, its an advertisement, by showing these office guys EA wants to highlight something. Maybe something like that you can now play the game even on that machine at work.
Besides, nobody could con me, I'm cool.
...and a genius
Hi All,
Any idea on what new Leagues in the game ?

There is no reason why EA SPORTS should go on making the game for PC. But they still do it because they know we are a minority and because they know that everything comes from PC is something earned with not so much effort!
And you can be 90% sure that PC version will be the same version of Consoles next year, I have my trusted sources :D

This is an argument that fits perfectly in the current behavior of EA Sports, profit above all, it´s understandable, after all they´re just a company.

It's most likely my friend, considering this: http://forum.ea.com/uk/posts/list/631325.page
So we could celebrate then, plus PC version will feature 1080p resolution and editing tools by the start (I guess the engine is the same, the only different modification in FIFA 12 NG engine are the physics, not the entire engine).
Let's hope the optimization is a bit better this year, there have been some problems with FIFA 11. :(

- The all-new physics engine of the game, it will be mostly visible when the ball lose, the players will fall over like in real life. Body reactions of players are based on realistic skeletons.
- Last system injuries, injuries grab even without friction, for example, with knee injuries, after it heals player will walk with a special compression bandage, but the injury may be renewed
- One should expect a more prudent use of the sprint button, you can get short of breath and in the worst case, can not be able to continue the game which is equal to the descent of the pitch
- Big changes in the game on defense. : Mrgreen: It is caused by a new physics engine, now plays in defense is to be more difficult and will not it relies only on the holding of a button, the players holding the ball they will learn it much better to cover and hold.
- Changes in the system dryblowania, standing in the place they will be able to pass the ball from left foot to right.
- Dribbling and feints to be more natural and they do not require high skills and use the additional keys
- The introduction of parameter "vision" would be a sort of sixth sense, the player will have his back to turn around and lose some time to play for himself, better players will have a more developed this ability and be able to play back without having to rotate, will have this so-called sixth sense
- The standard improved enemy AI, an improved system of Personality Plus
- The graphics engine: changes in the lighting and the introduction of a new camera
The multi-handicaps are to be for players who come out of games

Yes, it would be totally non-sense making only one Next-gen game (FIFA 11) and then abandoning the PC gaming, especially given that PES still comes out for PC!

Yeah maybe you´re right or maybe EA won´t spend another nickel trying to develop a game to a market they don´t find completely or partially profitable or what was the word they used in one of those company sales reports... ah the term is "not viable"; but hey those are just my two cents, maybe EA will develop future iterations of this franchise, bottom line time always showed me one practical rule about EA Sports: Don´t Trust EA Sports. :innocent_smile_1:

arifutama1996 28-05-2011, 11:12:AM Fifa 12 screenshots released, PC won’t get “impact engine”
The first official trailer for Fifa 12 shows off the “impact engine,” a new physics system designed to render collisions and injuries with incredible accuracy, improving the realism of tackling, and making the game look more believable. Sadly it looks as though Fifa 12 will be lagging behind consoles yet again because, as Eurogamer report “the Impact Engine will only power the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.”
It took a long time for the PC version of previous Fifa games to finally get the upgraded engine first introduced on consoles. Though it wasn’t on a par with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, Significant improvements were made in Fifa 11. It looks as though PC will get a second rate version of the footballing sim again this year

info0 31-05-2011, 09:04:AM It's the same story as last year. Lesson learnt from previous year when they kept PC news to minimum. Then Ian suddenly popped out of nowhere and bang ;).
Patience is virtue when we're dealing with EA Sports. Believe me. I was the same last year. Skeptical whether we would really get NG gameplay on PC or not. The first news about PC version... Came on E3.
I will say this, there is v. high probability that Impact Engine and other stuff from consoles will be available on PCs too. At least I can trust one magazine (Outsider87 probably knows about it too) CD-Action. ;)
Waldo1639 31-05-2011, 09:38:AM Yea, mate, I hope that will end like this... They will make us goo crazy without news for PC and then it would be BANG!!! - FIFA 12 XBOX/PS3 = PC.
But NG on PC was 1 year after it was on console... Right?
info0 31-05-2011, 11:12:AM Actually no. NG on consoles for good started with FIFA 09. FIFA 08 was reusing old stuff apparently with mixed new elements in it.
But true NG era began with 09. You can feel PC was left out from NG engine for 2 years (engine optimizing, porting to PC, etc.) and well, not that I will be an ass and say I don't enjoy it, but optimization on some machines was bad. The game can drop frames from 60 to 15 all of the sudden and then again it jumps to steady 60. I don't know what causes this phenomenon. Also the promised WC elements didn't make it into FIFA 11 on PC. You can see we still have old penalty kick system, old set pieces, old pitches.
Those are minor issues mind you, most of fixed by CEP11, Hybrid gameplay and playing around with data0 files. This game blown me away after 1 year. I hope FIFA12 improves over it :D.
caio89 01-06-2011, 09:33:PM Little piece of info for the German users out here: German commentary in FIFA 12 will again be provided by Frank Buschmann (he just confirmed that in a radio broadcast).
Merdiso 02-06-2011, 05:02:PM info0: You're completely wrong.
FIFA 06 on Xbox 360 had a new graphics engine and FIFA 07 has been the first game to use the new gameplay engine, FIFA 08 is 100% percent NG. Even FIFA 07 on Xbox 360 is "100% next-gen". both gameplay & graphics engine were new.

regularcat 04-06-2011, 10:56:PM if you needed that video to tell you that fifa lacks in more areas than it excels you have not really been paying attention to the game you have been playing for years.
no matter what ea releases you will buy it, even if they just make up fancy new names for features implemented in fifa 07 they want
you to think is new.
ea makes money because you fall for everything they tell you.
even if pc is a clone of console this year it will still be flawed beyond repair by the best modders around.

NO man, I disagree with you: EA makes money with FIFA series because there is nothing else better in the market! So, is just a simple economic rule: if you give to the market the best option judging by price-quality you will dominate the market and get profit!
Personally I just don't understand how SOCCER - no.1 sport of all time it's so bad represented in gaming ... I mean there is no other gaming company that can make a decent football game according to our days????? I just don't get it ... it's a market with a hugeee potential.
And for Christ's sake if you (EA) every year give us only 20-23 real stadiums from more than few hundreds - number of teams, if you give us a ridiculous number of players with real face, no chants, no real pitch, no real adboards, no real flags, no nothing ... YOU CAN GIVE US AT LEAST some integrated editors of the game you bastards!!!! :(
caio89 05-06-2011, 08:40:AM I don't see where you disagree daniel, you're both absolutely right and your opinions add perfectly up to each other.
The way I see it, FIFA & PES have their flaws and we can't do much about that, but those are just computer games. What's better than going out and playing the real game yourself?
///CRO/// Tommy 05-06-2011, 02:41:PM Everyone listen up,ps3 and x360 are consol next generation and its logically tht pc won't get player impact. Why do you think that(L.a: Noire,Go of war,Uncharted,Litlle Big Planet.etc)doesn't come to pc.Because developers have profit of that and they make a lot of money.FIFA producer David Rutter says that maybe player impat going to pc but maybe just a speculation. So in every console is better, and I prefer to take your consoles, not pc you'll have to upgrade every year. You do not need to fear that the PC will not it come a new engine or a new thing that will make Team of Fife.and please, if you think troll and talk to the producer Fife idiots, just because you pc not going new engine. To do is their choice and whatever they decide it is best.

they lose money by not giving us the same game as consoles, if they are all about money than you give everyone the same product to maximize profit.
not give 2 one thing & 1 another, risking chances of high profits on the pc platform.
if im a business looking to make money im either gonna do what needs to be done to maximize profit on everything i release or just not spend the time & money to release it.

They don't release those games, but they would want to. Ask around why they CAN'T do it. Sony and Microsoft are smart bunch. Without exclusives you think consoles would sell that well? I don't.
Consoles are made to last 6-7 years. In such long time, games change drastically. In graphical terms. PCs will always surpass consoles in the end. As PCs are not stagnate they continue to get better cards, processors, etc. Soon even mobile phones will be faster then consoles (Tegra3 possiblities demo is on the net). Next Gen? Right now consoles are current gen or due to limited capabilities I should call them old gen now (DX9!). Plus what's that nonsense about upgrading PC every year? My is 4 years old now and it still runs all games with High/Medium details. (I believe i7 + GTX560 or something similar to last at least 4-5 years. It's just so powerful).
I have only had two consoles in my lifetime. Dreamcast and PSX. Don't get the hype nowadays. Plus the most common excuse I get to laugh at is piracy one. :D:D That's true piracy on PC is great issue, but you can't fight it. Shame some devs forget that on Xbox 360 games got pirated EVEN before Worldwide premiere! And it's also growing in numbers...

And I should not care what nonsense you spout.
Now, before arguing even further... How many "game evolving" features were we promised by EA Sports in FIFA series? Which of those features really made an impact?
It all sounds very nice in press conferences, looks good on trailers, but in practice... Everything goes tits up.
Personality Plus - nice feature... On paper. Did not make much change between FIFA10 and 11. Could live without it.
Pro Passing - another feature which was said will revolutionize FIFA gaming. Well, again sweet talking. It maybe the feature that mattered for assisted/semi-assisted players? I am full manual FIFA player since FIFA09 and nope, Pro Passing, I don't see it (My Swansea team can play like Barcelona ^^).
Now what's more was advertised? In FIFA11 (we are speaking about CONSOLE version of the game here, leave PC out of it for now) the only things I did like were: Career mode, default game speed and... Real AI (feature NOT advertised as much). Real AI did change the way AI plays and ta-dah finally saw AI doing skill moves with C. Ronaldo (step overs, chops, roulette). Of course EA fecked up with player skill ranking. (Messi is 5* skills user. For Pete's sake Messi DOES NOT do TRICKS or SKILLS EA! Get your facts straight you morons. He relies on dribbling, agility, speed and balance therefor he should be 3* player at most (skill wise)).
From the press preview I really thought Player Impact Engine will be drastic change, but when I saw the trailer, the hyped feeling vanished. Haven't I seen it already in FIFA11? After slide tackle I have sent AI player flying in the air and when he fell down he was injured. Isn't that what P.I.E. is all about?
I will again wait till FIFA12 demo to verify all hyped features. Probably only to get disappointed... Again.
Now let us go back to PC FIFA for a while. Because FIFA11 on PC was true revolution. First FIFA NG title on PC. First in long time whole year playable football title on PC (previous one was PES6). First FIFA NG to have so many mods released. :)
Now who are the real winners here? You console gamer? Or us PC users? The answer for me is simple... ;)

Its only the PC game that can by modded as per our style....

I don't know if you noticed it, so I will notice that for you: John Terry in one screenshots has the right Premier League armband :)
khepacheley 09-07-2011, 08:21:AM From the screenshots it seems that FIFA 12 will be great fun, especially the manager mode with the players submitting transfer requests after being unhappy with the coach; the youth academy is back (i missed it badly in FIFA 11 PC) and great to see the Juventus Arena stadium....
I just can't wait for the game to release....

*i'm talking only about pc n not consoles
its not a logical consequence w/ EA. you dont expect basic things to be absent in a next-gen game when they were present in an earlier version. coz in fifa 10 we had 3 types of socks models. the short one, the regular size, and the long one. and in fifa 11 we get just one type.
its not just about the socks things. i have more.
i never played much console, but if you have, tell me if Delap has his long throws in it. (we had it in fifa 10 pc w/ diff camera andle n even some commentry on Delap's missiles)...
Andreasmax 23-07-2011, 08:35:AM In the opening keynote of the Develop Conference, Andrew Wilson, EA Sports' senior vice president of worldwide development, outlined the company's bold digital strategy for the multi-million selling FIFA franchise. With the launch of FIFA 12 this autumn the company will introduce Football Club, a persistent online service that unites the real world of football with the one created by the franchise. Players will have a consistent online identity that will link every version of FIFA on every platform, feeding their performance back into a central hub.
In this interview, we talk to Wilson about the implications these ideas have for the EA Sports portfolio, FIFA's steady evolution into a persistent online service, and the obstacles that must be overcome to affect that change.
Q: In your keynote at Develop, you spoke about how quickly the market has changed over the last two or three years. How long have concepts like Football Club and a consistent identity for the user been in place?
Andrew Wilson: Only around the last five years. The reality is that when we started the rewrite of FIFA - and I had the great fortune of leading that team at that time, when we started that rewrite we asked ourselves where we thought we'd be a decade from now. If we could create the perfect football experience, what would that look like? The first stage of that was the idea of eleven players against eleven players online in a real FIFA World Cup. That was the first phase of development, and we got there by FIFA 10, FIFA 11. The very next phase was developing a world that was really more like an MMORPG, that was always with you, where you had a unique ID with persistence and progression across platforms and across years. You had ever-changing dynamic content wrapped up in a rich economy. That's the phase we've been on since then, but EA as a company started to invest in the online infrastructure and architecture that would facilitate that game experience about five years ago.
Q: You just mentioned the idea of a perfect football game. When you push gameplay towards simulation route there will be a point where it becomes tough to add to the play experience without hurting it. Will this social, persistent layer be the focus of innovation in the future?
Andrew Wilson: I think we have two dreams, and certainly I have two dreams, and I'm busy rallying the teams around them at FIFA and for every product that we make. And we've had some dreams come true that we never thought would, that changing technology has facilitated.
So when I think what technology is going to provide us with in the future I have two big dreams: one that I think will come true, and one that I think won't. The one that I think will come true is that through technology we'll be able to put full control of the game experience in the hand of the consumer; that they govern what we build, how we build it, what they play and how they play it. I think that's the shift, and we get much better data now than we ever did before, through online connectivity, that allows us to fine-tune the experience to their demands.
The second dream is that what I do in my FIFA game actually affects the real world. I would love it if I played well with Chelsea on Friday night, that they play better on Sunday. I don't think that one happens, but the first one does.
Q: But in order to realise that goal, don't you need a more stable gameplay experience to build around? Historically, updates in a franchise like FIFA have been gameplay driven, but this is all focused on the service and the features in that extra layer.
Andrew Wilson: I think that's probably true. One of the things that I never underestimate any more is the power of technology, and how we can use that to achieve things that previously were impossible. The things we're doing today on PlayStation 3 we never thought we could do on the PlayStation 2 because we never thought we'd have the processing power to do them. The granularity and the finesse in the game now is largely a result of increased processing power, so when I think about the future and ask, Can we make a better game? I don't know, but technology will certainly help.
Our focus is going to be on how gamers consume the experience we build, but at the same time we'll be using available technology to make it the best gameplay experience possible.
Q: You're bringing established brands into these new areas and finding ways to keep people playing, but it's not a given that the average FIFA player wants an actual football game on their phone or on Facebook. How did you define the ways to extend the franchise?
Andrew Wilson: The short answer is consumer feedback. The level of data we're getting from the close to 70 or 80 per cent of console gamers that are connected, and the 100 per cent of PC, mobile and social gamers drives the course that we're on. We put something out, and if there's take up we know we're going in the right direction, if there's not we go a different direction. The cycle of change and the clock-speed at which we operate has fundamentally shifted, and that helps us stay ahead of the curve and make sure these experiences make sense on their platform.
Q: The consistent user identity across all platforms must be a helpful leg-up in getting consumers to warm to new ideas.
Andrew Wilson: Absolutely. We look at Facebook at its very core, and a lot of people use Facebook as the answer to social games. I don't think Facebook is the answer to social games, but I do think it has taught us something inherently clever, and that is the notion of a single ID. Imagine logging on to your PC and uploading data to Facebook, but when you want to look at that on your mobile phone you have to upload it again. It's just foreign.
Most people that have entered the industry in the Facebook era would see the notion that you have separate identities across separate platforms as absurd. We take that and we say, if it's absurd for your Facebook profile it's absurd for your gaming profile, and so how do we build around that?
Q: FIFA seems to be the focal point of this new strategy. I assume it doesn't end there.
Andrew Wilson: Absolutely not. FIFA is our biggest, so we invest heavily there. It's our most global, so we have the most diverse user-base. So often it leads from the front, but not always. There are things we did with Fight Night Champion's story mode, things we've done with NCAA Football with online franchise and dynasty sim. FIFA's not always first, but in this connected instance it's leading from the front, and you're definitely going to see this across the entire portfolio.
Q: Does that go beyond EA Sports? Any game with a competitive element could support this kind of service - Battlefield, for instance.
Andrew Wilson: Every game has some level of competition. It's generally you against the CPU or other people, so absolutely it's a company-wide strategy.
Q: In your talk you stressed that a year is "an epoch" in the current industry, yet your sports franchises are still driven by annual, disc-based updates. With this digital strategy in mind, and the services you'll be rolling out this autumn, at what point do annual updates start to feel like a contradiction to that?
Andrew Wilson: I think the consumer is going to tell us that. I think the most convenient way for the consumer to get 7GB worth of FIFA these days is still to buy it on a disc. That will change. I think that Football Club this year is turning the FIFA you buy on a disc into a live service that changes every day and every week that you play. Over time, based on consumer feedback, those chunks that we deliver on that day-to-day, week-to-week basis are going to get bigger, and the releases that we do on an annual basis are going to get smaller, and ultimately you end up in a place where we are delivering a true, consumer-driven live digital service. We're building architecture and infrastructure to facilitate a time when the pipes into consumer homes are big enough to move that kind of data around.
Q: Are the only things preventing this shift from happening now outside of EA's purview?
Andrew Wilson: I think there are two things at play. The first is the business model. There will come a time where the consumer is simply not prepared to pay $60 up-front for a game anymore, the same way they have said that for movies and music and television. That's one thing. And then I think, you're right, it's the global infrastructure that facilitates the shift. As soon as technology provides a viable alternative to a disc, then that process will change.
Q: How rapid is that change going to be? Based on the last few years, the pace of progress can increase exponentially.
Andrew Wilson: That's definitely the case. I live in the Bay Area, in Silicon Valley, so maybe I'm not the best test case, but the speeds I have coming into my house now are pretty astronomical. I would digitally download games today. I don't think the planet is quite at that stage, but there are pockets that will drive that transformation.

kosovosrbija 15-08-2011, 09:10:PM they should put Greek,Ukrainan league and if possible Serbian.... why did they put Irish league i don't understand (their most expensive team is valued 2,400,000) - conclusion : their league is bad.... also Australian league is bad... there are much better leagues then this 2 that aren't in the game
RobbieD_PL 15-08-2011, 09:53:PM Probably because they're worried about pirating. Like a crazy reason why they suddenly got rid of Brazilian Commentary and a liscenced Brazilian league.
Australian league is only a recent creation, it's not bad. ;)

Probably cause there are a lot of FIFA buyers in Ireland and Australia.EA watches financial results ,not quality of leagues.Same goes for national teams.Finland?? New Zeland??

davidmende 16-08-2011, 01:56:PM Well fifa 12 seemed to bring just wonders, but it will also bring sad news like this one:
Here's the important part translated into English:
Fifa 12: very bad news, there will be no Turkish or Czech league
Published: August 12, 2011 by fifagamers in Teams, Stats, Licensing , Fifa 12

The corruption scandal that has tarnished the championship most recently in Turkey could have implications for FIFA 12.
The Turkish Football Federation has decided, according to Turkish media, remove the championship (full or at least a few teams) in soccer simulation games . (More details in the evening but it is valid for Fifa 12 and PES also)
It Mehmet Ali Aydinlar, President of the Federation recently elected, who took this decision.
On the side of the Czech Republic is for a history of big money.
Unlike last year, the national team and the Czech league will not appear in FIFA 12 because of an increase in the amount of the license.
Although Fifa is well sold in this country is still in the game publishers to invest more in the license.
But there is still hope, that through the Center for Future Creation , that Czech and Turkish teams appear, at least some ...
Update - 2:10
Information about the championship in Turkey: this is the championship that will not be present in Fifa 12
So it is a blockage of the Federation that included new rules.
After an eventful evening, I took the time to give you good information about the scandal.
Before the license was granted for the entire championship.
Now, publishers have to negotiate separately with each club.
A month and a half of the game's release, no contract has been signed with EA Sports.
Fenerbahce have only Trabzonsport and initialed an agreement with Konami, but these teams should be included in the game in a patch, so after leaving the game (they have had problems).
In other words, if EA can't negotiate with every Turkish club very quickly, the league probably won't be included.
Then again, none of this has been confirmed by EA so it is all speculation and rumour.
Here is the source from where i got this info:
http://forum.ea.com/uk/posts/list/927399.page
I hope both leagues can be in the game, because one of the better things a about the fifa series was the amount of leagues included.
pretty good trailer, can't wait for the demo.
