First of all, why take off the good things of past FIFA games?!!!!

. Fifa98: We could choose the home stadium of each team. This was a very good feature. Why take it off?!

. Fifa98: We could train with or without opponents. What's the point of limiting the opponents from 7 to 10?!

. Fifa98/99: We could choose the Stadium of a friendly match.

. Fifa99: We could choose the direction of chest trapping. In Fifa2000 we can't (it's automatic)!

. Fifa99: Team management was enjoyable. It was very practical. In Fifa2000 it is very confusing and annoying. Why?!

MY Fifa2001 WISHLIST (I think it is quite reasonable and achievable):

1 - Gameplay
--------

I think gameplay is very good. The most realistic I've ever seen. However, it is improvable.


. Smoother player movement

. When passing, sometimes the receiver gets away from the ball. This should be corrected.

. More controllable chest trapping (like Fifa99)

. Implement a controlable feet trapping system (i.e. similar to chest trapping, but with the feet)

. The referee should give second yellows and reds, instead of giving just direct reds.

. Fix the offside bug

. Maybe a bit bigger pitch

2 - Graphics

The ambience of the game is great. The graphics are really good, but are too cartoonish.


. More realistic faces (like FifaWC98)

. More realistic graphics in general (besides being too dark, Fifa99 was more real)

. Diferent types of balls

. Diferent types of grass (vertical stripes, horizontal stripes, etc.)

3 - Cameras

Costomizable cameras are great! But why do the cameras turn to it's default settings every match?


. Playing with a free cam would be great.

. Customizable cameras during replays.

4 - Menus & Tables
--------------

It seems that EA hasn't got the way of doing good menus, yet. I think that the menus and tables are very important in the way they give some atmosphere to the game/competition.


. Font size is too high. Why do I have to scroll to see the whole league table?!

. We should be able to see all the results of the week, before going to the next.

. Cup results table is horrible. Again the fontsize/scrolling problem.

. When a team wins by penalties, that information should be displayed rather than adding a goal to the winning team.

. We should be able to see all the results/fixtures after a competition finishes.

. A table (matrix) of results would be good.

. Try to put more organized information on the screen without scrolling.

. After choosing and viewing a replay, we should go back to the replay list instead of going to the main menu.

. Team management is terrible. We don't know wich player is in each position. Fifa99 team management menus were very good.

5 - Stats
-----

Ok. This isn't a management game, but keeping track of the teams stats over a competition would be very good.

6 - Options
-------

. Option for displaying player names during match.

. More difficulty levels. Intermediate level is too easy.

. Improve kitclashing option. We should be able to choose the kit before each match.

. Internet play

. Customizable controls. Why not?

8 - Competitions
------------

. Allow cups with 64 or 128 teams. It isn't so hard to do.
. Allow more league rounds in cups. (like Sensible World of Soccer)

9 - Teams
-----

. Create a way of adding new teams to the game, instead of just editing existing ones. This would make everyone happy, because we would be able to create all of our favorite teams and leagues without replacing the others.

10 - Trainning
---------

. Allow trainnig without opponents.

Well, that's all for now. I hope this would give some ideas to the EA staff.

Your '(#9)teams' isnt very good, the editors are made by public. EA dont decide those type of desicions

I reckon FIFA 2001 should also have...

More than 51 jerseys (about 128 would be good)
Better looking jerseys (cos the jerseys in the last two games were not good at all) - they should ask me - my jerseys are much better!
Accurate player appearances - no foul ups like as in FIFA 2000.
Correct kit colours/styles for all teams! - C'mon EA - do some more research!

Concerning the Teams subject, I think it's a "bit" hard to put in the game all the leagues and all the teams in the world. No matter how many teams Fifa has, there will be angry people because their favorite team isn't in the game.

So, if we could create and ADD (not replace) teams to the game, than we could create our own world of football. and that's a thing in wich EA should think about.

About jerseys, I think they be better, but there are other more important things to improve graphically.


Another suggestion to the STATS subject is to have information about:
- Passes made / missed
- Consecutive passes
