Impossible to build that team on fantasy league. You clearly didn't read the title or first post and just posted your dreamteam.

I'm really tempted and I was so close to signing up, but I know I'll stop changing my lineup in 3 weeks, so I can't join.

Just replaced Tevez with Aguero because Tevez is still on vacation and his future is still unclear.

Aguero saved my week. Had Modric as the captain, and their match got postponed. Kun was my vice captain. Then I saw he wasn't starting and was cursing my choices. A bit happier now. Could've had 9 more points if I had chosen my subs right.

Apparently there were glitches in the system, free unlimited transfers. :bob:

A statement has been issued regarding the Fantasy Premier League game.

As some of you are aware, many fans trying to access Fantasy Premier League on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning will have experienced problems logging in or registering teams prior to the Gameweek 1 deadline.

While the demand reached unprecedented levels on Saturday morning, we fell short of the standards you expect from the world's biggest fantasy football game and make no excuses for what was both a frustrating and disappointing experience ahead of the new season. For this we apologise unreservedly.

technical issue

Our technical teams have been working throughout the weekend to ensure the technical issue that led to the problems experienced by users are dealt with. Work also continues to improve the quality of your experience with additional steps taken in the game itself that enable you to:

‪1. Receive unlimited transfers
No points will be deducted for any transfers you make up to the Gameweek 2 deadline (11:30 BST on Saturday 20th August 2011). If you have already made transfers and had points deducted, these will be restored to your overall total by midnight on Tuesday 16th August 2011. If you have already opted to play your wildcard, this too will be restored at the same time.

‪2. Opt to start mini-league scoring at Gameweek 2
The option is available to all mini-league administrators to start the scoring from Gameweek 2. Go to 'Leagues' > 'League name' > 'Administer' > Select 'Gameweek 2' in 'Scoring Starts' drop-down menu and click 'Update league details'.

‪3. Win a VIP trip to watch Man Utd v Chelsea
The manager of the team that accumulates the most points in Gameweeks 2, 3 & 4 will win a VIP trip for two to watch Man Utd v Chelsea on Sunday 18th September 2011 . The prize includes all transport, two nights' accommodation, match tickets, pre-match hospitality and £250 spending money. If there is a tie between teams, the team with the fewest transfers between Gameweeks 2-4 will win the trip. In the event of a further tie, the winner will be selected at random.

‪4. Win a new monthly prize - iPad2
Each monthly winner of Fantasy Premier League 2011/12 will be able to choose between receiving an iPad2 or the current monthly prize (replica shirt, iPod nano & digital camera). The runner-up will then receive whichever prize is not claimed by the monthly winner.

I did decide to join my local English Pub's league because

1) It's on ESPN so I didn't have to register a new account and

2) Free beer for weekly winner, big bar tab for season winner

So, I might as well talk about my squad in here

Given
Cole--Hangeland--Huth--Sagna
Silva--Cahill--Wilshere--Arteta
Torres--Suarez

Bench: Begovic, Jose Enrique, Arshavin, Chicharito

Really like the team, costs exactly 100m, and of course that means I will suck. Torres is captain this week with West Brom coming to the Bridge. Should be a monster week.

EDIT: Swapped Wilshere and Arshavin for this week because of injury.

I'm such a ******* moron. Put Demba Ba into my squad going into the second half, and he missed the game because of the Cup of Nations, and then spent like 4/20 transfers trying to rework the side for the next game only for Senegal to get bounced in the group stage, so Ba will probably be back. FUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!

Nimreitz
27-03-2012, 11:57:PM
LOL at my team at the beginning of the year. Torres and Suarez!

After the cup of nations debacle, I have surged within 7 points of my friend BJ who is in first place, mostly on the back of Gylfi Sigurdsson and Papiss Demba Cisse. Starting next week I have finally dropped David Silva who has been very average in the second half, for Stevie G, which allows me to upgrade a **** defender to Vermaelen. Rooney was a new add for Demba Ba last week. Here's my team for the stretch run, with 3 transfers in the bank for injuries.

Alright, 3 weeks left. Here is my team...

http://i.imgur.com/Q3fCs.png

Swapping out Rooney for Tevez has cost me the lead going into the final 3 weeks; I trail my friend by 5 points. Here's what I'm thinking

I have one transfer left and my first instinct is to swap out Tevez for Jelavic. Jelavic has 2 games this week, which is a big advantage, and his final 4 opponents are Fulham, Stoke, Wolves, and Newcastle.

The other one I am considering is swapping Bale out for Fat Frank. He also has 4 games, and he is playing more under Di Matteo, but he gets some days off. If he doesn't play, I will get Leon Britton off my bench, who is good for 3 points each week, about the same as Bale the last few months.

The third option is to go for broke and write off van Persie. He hasn't been very good in the last month with the exception of a game against Wolves, and I'd probably swap him out for Jelavic who has the extra game. This is a much bigger gamble, since my friend will undoubtedly be playing van Persie for the final 3 weeks, but Arsenal are just jogging to the finish it could pay off immensely.

What do you think?

After typing this all out, I think I'm leaning toward Lampard because Bale has turned to ****, but the Jelavic for van Persie is an intriguing gamble.

Nady

Ditch Van Persie and get Rooney back. (H)

Jaboldinho
23-04-2012, 07:35:PM
Bale out definitely. Tottenham have been **** lately.

Nimreitz
24-04-2012, 07:46:AM
Yeah, if there was a real alternative to RvP I'd consider him, but Jelavic isn't guaranteed to score either, and Rooney has been up and down. Fat Frank it is... I'll just wait and make sure he doesn't get hurt tomorrow.
