Okay..I've been playing the FIFA series for a LONG time. And this is my first PC Fifa series, cause this is the first time I have a PC that can run it like the console can. And believe me, my machine beats out the PS2 EVEN. So anyhoo. EA...FANS...I hope you read this, and give it serious thought.

Here goes.

First off...

The good.

It's EA SPORTS..so the graphics are awesome.

Well....the not so good.

The play engine ...sucks...it's been the same for SOOO long, and given the space for PC games and expansion, I BOUGHT this PC game(when every other game I own is warez) hoping that it would have the mass that a console could not give.

Nope..aside from being able to patch it, it's not worth the money I spent.

I'll tell you why.

I play world class...and you can NEVER get into the box just dribbling...REAL football is not TACKLE,TACKLE,TACKLE..well, maybe US "SOCCER" is cause it's crap. But euro football is purely finesse.
I can get to the outside and cross the ball and one bicycle kick, and I've got a goal..EVERY SINGLE FRICKING TIME. HOW FUN IS THAT????

Than, the opponents just spin by you, or flick over you and score..the game just does not portray euro football the way I want it.

You need to redesign the ENTIRE game from the inside out. From the gameplay, to the kits,to ALL STADIUMS. To the English Premiership patches and numbers/names...

If you can't add all the stadiums for the console cause of space, I understand..
But make the PC 10 disks long if you HAVE TOO!!!!!

I will no longer be buying FIFA if they don't wake up, and make the NEXT game...the KING of all footie games. YOU OWE IT TO US!!

NO one else will do it,or CAN do to licensing issues.

I HOPE YOU ALL READ THIS, and MAKE A CHANGE!!!

I understand where your comming from, but if the game were way too realistic then it wouldn't be as fun.

mabe they should try different game modes such as simulation or arcade. Also the key commands suck!!

Well, ur about right, but u can get into the box on world class if ur GOOD enuf, but thats not the point anyway, i've been playin fifa series from 4 years ago, and in fifa97 they had a smulation, arcade mode and etc, but it sucked so i hope easports will try 2 get the simulation mode and etc back, to @ least see how the gameplay will be!

Thanks guys

Ya know what else I ABSOLUTELY HATE!!????

When your waiting for a through pass, or a cross and you hit a button say, to shoot...it locks onto ANY player that gets the ball and will AUTO-SHOOT even though you want to try to run through the box and tuck a nicley placed shot under the keeper.
WHY?!?!?!? EA!!!!

THIS SUCKS!!! I don't know HOW MANY chances I've "blown" due to this stupid feature.
I hate it....the gameplay is the main thing I want changed...including the ability to "bend" the arrow for the free kick shot, and the things I've mentioned above in my last post.

PLEASE HEED MY NEEDS EA!!!!
Thats why we have all supported you!

Cheers

William

Why is a header so powerfull and goes it almost al the time towards the goal. For instance if im'm halfway the opposing half and there are teammates beside me, then the header goes almost everytime towards the goal and not to a teammate although i pust the up arrow, i hate this. and when je at the middle the header is to powerfull, it goes al the way up to the keeper. That's not reality.

I agree totally with what is being said!

The game is far too scripted!

Why can't they make it like FIFA RTWC 98 but with less buggy (read drunk) keepers and offside decisions, as the game was far more random (like football is) and you couldn't score from an overhaed kick every time you try!

The graphics mean d**k until they have sorted that out!

International selection rules from 98 as well

EA Sports:
It's in the game!
Is it F**K!

Wow, all the above is SO true, I have had every FIFA game except 96, and really do think that 98 was the best for gameplay, and expecially features. Why did they get rid of the indoor stadium? it was good fun from time to time.
Why is it that there is a particular way of scoring in each game? I also noticed that in this one overhead kicks go in everytime even from the edge of the box!!! it is so unrealistic, players hardly ever socre like that!
The graphics seem to improve from year to year, but they rarely add decent features and the game rarely reflects reality- it is drifting further away!

EA you had better listen!!!

sherigham your kidding yourself buddy!! fifa2001 is not any better than 2000 unless u look the ice hockey feel to it!!

i agree with all u ppl about FIFA - they do not know what football is about!!! they have such a narrow vision!!!

Amen to that!
Maybe in Fifa soccer or Fifa 96, the real football options were not available, but now, allmost 6 years further away, you could RE-Invent football... So FIFA 2002 should better have a new engine, 'cause we have seen real football gameplay (ISS Evolution Pro, Konami).

Fair enough Fifa 2001 is good fun, but it is no where near realistic, and is only a minor improvement on all the previous versions.

At least Fifa 98 had a good selection of international teams!

Also, I wish EA would release official roster updates halfway through the year.

The game is good, but there is definitely huge room for improvement...
