Fifa in general is lacking in many areas. For one, why can't they put adidas on the jerseys? They got the rights to put them on the ad boards why not the jerseys or at least on the ones sponsered by adidas. Heck why not just get Kappa, Reebok, adidas, Nike, etc. and make it REAL!! DAMN! EA has so much room on the CD! WHY NOT USE IT?!! gee we spend $40 at least we just get our money's worth.
Another big problem is the players. If you pass the ball to someone they run away from the ball. THE FIRST RULE IN SOCCER is to NEVER, EVER, EVER(!) run away from the ball. GO TO THE BALL! Don't let the ball play you. Maybe EA Sports should look at some games. What would be cool is if they could emulate the style of play of certain leagues, like English, German, MEXICAN (which is missing) leagues. It would be cool, but difficult.
The keeper is another annoyance. Some, MOST, of them are CHICKENs! They are scared of the ball. THE ONE THING I HATE is the little reach-out-with-one-hand move of the keeper. When has a keeper ever done that? I don't think that Seaman or Schmiecal (whatever) would ever let any player get close to him or chicken out on a ball. They certaintly won't dive the wrong way when they come off their line. When I try it, the keeper dives with his body not behing the keeper, kinda hard to explain. But watch any soccer game and the keeper goes straight to the feet or at least reaches his hands up.
