I sent this email to admin of feedback at ea sports

To whom it may concern,

My name is Terry Soukoulis, I live in Adelaide, Australia. I started playing cyber soccer games around about the late 80's on a amiga then I had to wait for games like actua soccer, euro 96 etc, since then,I have purchased every one of you Fifa products since Fifa 97. I must admit Fifa 97 as a package was ok for the times, although the game play left a lot to be desired. Goals were at a premium and build up play was non existent. Then came the glorious Fifa 98 RTWC, wow what a game! I was sceptical about buying a fifa product, after having tried very hard to make a go of 97. I installed the program and I installed it while I was getting ready for work, by the time I got ready I was running late and I just had to leave for work before I could get a chance to load the game. While I was at work I received a frantic phone call from my brother, I thought there was something wrong at home, who was screaming on the phone. He was raving about Fifa 98 just going crazy. I don't even want to tell you about the time we discovered the bicycle kick!! Needless to say all my friends and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing the current Fifa series (World Cup 98, FA premier League Stars, Fifa 99 and of course 2000) over modem or together when we organise LAN parties. We feel that many issues that need to be addressed are being totally ignored by your developers. Having seen the incredible quality of your basketball and Ice Hockey games, it feels as though the soccer fraternity has been neglected. We want to scan our photos and place them in the game too! I could sit here for ever and a day to list the group of complaints by my friends and myself as well as many others at web sites all over the world I will however voice the major complaints of the group as follows:

1. User selected pitch sizes; small, medium or large, San Siro, Nou Camp and Old Trafford are not the same size are they?
2. More skill moves; step over moves like Zola and Ronaldo do
3. Chesting and kneeing control; The ability to control the ball with your chest and or knee so that you can chest the ball to the left or right and accelerate past a defender or opposition or even lay the ball off to you team mate for a shot or a one two. The use of your knee for controlling the ball could be used when players scoop the ball over opposition players racing in for a tackle, after scooping the ball up the knee could be used to propel the ball forward past opposition players.
4. Out side of the foot passing and shooting!
5. Straight shots and lobs; The use of a button to enable straight lobbing and shooting. There is no better sight than a straight low cross into the box, being met, at full speed by a forward or midfielder the ball always fly's into the net like a rocket.
6. Player preferred passing and shooting foot allocation.
7. The game needs to be slowed down, to the point where players have the time to make decisions on where to pass the ball after all it is called the beautiful game!
8. Amalgamate a soccer sim style management and virtual soccer game play into fifa2001 = the holy grail of soccer gaming
9. INTERNET PLAY!!!!!! please please if the guys at id software can do it with quake 3 then you can do it for fifa 2001
10. Redesigned graphics for the game to make it look realistic and please get rid of the cartoon style graphics

Well I have probably taken up too much of your time already. Just one more thing before I go, if you want to know what your customers think of you product please visit www.soccergaming.com (http://www.soccergaming.com) and there forums especially, the amount of information for you guys is tremendous, if you only listen to 10% of the things people are saying there you will do yourselves and EA a favour.

Kind Regards

Terry Soukoulis

P.S

Please follow this link below it contains some of the most inventive ideas I have ever heard from a person in regards to the fifa series.

I have emailed to EA on numerous occasions including to the Larry Probst, EA's chairman (who has kindly responded on both occasions), to Marc Aubanel (spelling is probably wrong; anyway, someone else responded for him.) and to the unnamed support@ea.com (generally no responses).

Recently, I have begun to wonder how much our input is really desired (by EA support), as opposed to our money. The last email to Mr. Aubanel resulted in a email from EA support, that contained a response from someone at the FIFA group; however, the support group admonished me curtly, telling me that emailing the FIFA staff directly was "against EA's policy". Apparently EA's support staff thinks that by purchasing one of their products, I have unwittingly joined their company and must abide by their policies... if that's not one for DILBERT, then I don't know what is! Anyway, I think that the most of those with EA support don't really care what we think. However, those at the FIFA group as well as those in senior positions seem to care.

If you want to email someone who has some clout at EA, try looking through the boring "credits" segment of the game. If you can't figure out the email addresses from just the names, then you probably aren't smart enough to be writing to them about shortcomings in a computer game.

GOOD LUCK!

I won't give it here simply because some of the people who read in this area can't be trusted to write in a respectable fashion; however, if you read my prior post, and you're reasonably intelligent, I think that you'll be capable of guessing it, like I did.

Hint: If you've seen personal email addresses for individuals at corporations, you'd know how they are typically created... certainly not rocket-science, which is how I figured it out http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif

If you still can't figure it out, leave your email address in a post and I'll consider emailing it to you.
