I am having a hard time picking up loose balls. Is there any sepcial way to do this?

When there is a rebound in the penalty area for example I almost never get the ball. If I am first to the ball my player just run through it. This happens all the time when the ball is loose anywhere on the pitch.

Any hints?

This is exactly the nit-picking that EA should be listening to. This and many other game-play issues need to be addressed.

Yeah, that and kicking air rebounds in... I'm sick of going alone, shoot, the goalie making a save and leaving a "bump" rebound, but instead of volleying the ball in, he waits, and the defenders got the ball.

This happens all the time when the ball is loose anywhere on the pitch.:< when this happens, either hold down the pass/key/button or if you are in a scoring position hold down the shoot key/button..BEFORE your player gets to the ball, the stupid controls in this game are buffered and you have to make allowences for this before you try to engineer any moves..when you "pre load" the shoot key/button you either get a screamer off your boot, or if there is an opposite team player on the ball, you will win the ball back..Ned
