I saw some football programme that was talking about Alaves and I noticed that there's a little connection between Alaves and Ipswich.

Alaves were promoted to the Primera Liga for the 1999/2000 season and everyone expected them to go right back down.
Ipswich were promoted to the Premier League for the 2000/2001 season and everyone expected them to go right back down.

Alaves grabbed the second UEFA Cup spot in the Primera Liga in its first season.
Ipswich grabbed the second UEFA Cup spot in the Premier League in its first season.

Alaves reach the UEFA Cup final in 2000/2001.
Ipswich.......

It would be nice to see Ipswich play in the UEFA league, a fellow countryman is playing there and quite good I may add.

They might have a small chance but, If they make it to the later rounds then they might play some of the teams that got knocked out of the Champions League...
