If theyv'e got enough money, after all the match-fixing they had to pay out for, could be little left for defenders, but they also need a new keeper, a new forward, might aswell buy a whole new team, stock could go down, shareholders won't be pleased to see the idiot Keane who's paid millions to put the ball into his own net.

For defense they should get Song, and for attack Smith. What do you guys think?

A goalie, A defender, A world class striker that's all...

I dont't think the problem is bad defenders. But bad defence in general. The system how the defenders should work isn't good enough and very dangerous for the European Cup.

Look at Jaap Stam he's a excellent defender but yesterday he didn't fit in the denfencesystem of Man U. With national team of Holland he and Frank de Boer are the best defence in the middle.

So it's just the system of Alex Furgeson. It works in England but not elsewhere.

Triviani,
Their defense DOESN'T work in England, of all the teams in the top six in the Premier League Man U have let in the most goals. They need to keep Stam and get rid of everyone else in that defense..

Kewell the Jewell

Why is everyone saying get rid of the keeper??

HAVE U BEEN WATCHING HIS LAST FEW PERFORMANCES!?!?!?!

he bloody well kept United in the game in Madrid!

Kewell, are you joking? Van der Gouw didn't do a thing..And didn't coordinate his defense, as a keeper should.

Anyway, United got to get a normal defender to partner with Stam...Desailly would be nice, Adams or Abelardo could give some experience...maybe Mattehaus? http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Nah, Mattehaus is in the "I'm old and aren't good anymore" league.

Sella, Kewell was talking about Bosnich in the first leg in Madrid.

All you guyz that critisize Keane for scoring an own goal are the biggest idiots on earth. Now just because he scored an own goal he sux? I don't think the ones who critisize him dont know **** about soccer or football whatever you wanna call it. Keane is one of the bese midfielders in the world if not the bese, together with rivaldo. Just cuz he scored an own goal doesn't mean he sux, you idiots!
