The 3d setup program of Euro 2000 does not recognize my Diamond Stealth II G460. This card has an i740 chip set.

While Fifa 2000 is working perfectly with my 3D card. I really do not know why Euro 2000 does not work (yes, only in software renderer mode).

I have installed Win 98 SE again (with Direct X 6.1a). During installation of Euro 2000 I did not to choose to install Direct X 7a. I read that DirectX7a causes the problem.

I also read that I have to replace dx7x.dll by dx6x.dll. When I have installed Direct X 7a I cannot find dx7x.dll. Where is it? And where can I find dx6x.dll?

My last try was to edit the registration file with regedit.exe. I have copied everything from Fifa 2000 to Euro 2000. Now I can start Euro 2000 but the Press Button the program stops en goes to the Desktop of Win 98.

Can anyone please help me?

The dx6z.dll and dx7z.dll can be found in the euro2k\3rash directory

I really cannot find these files. They are certainly not in de 3rash directory of Euro2000; in this dir only a file starting with "ver*****".

Also Fifa2000 does not have such file in de Thrash directory.

I also searched my whole hard drive for such files, but I really cannot find them.

Please help. I also send a mail to easport support in Holland. Still no answer.

Ok first things first did u go to the 'Folder Options' and disable the 'Hidden File' options if not, of course there wont be any files in that directory 'euro2k\3rash'. About Euro 2k do not support i740 it is true but this is what i did. Go to the 'Euro 2000\3DSetup' folder open the '3dsetup.ini' file edit the 'Intel i740' to Intel740. And then run the 3D Setup and woala there u have it ur vga card. I hope it works on ur pc it really works for me so if u still got any problem just ask SOS. Me just learn this by myself and with the help of SOS of chourse. With out his help i would still be playing the game in software render mode...

I have tried to change the ini file. I have added the CARD_Intel740. And now during the 3dsetup I can select Intel i740. But still after the Main screen Euro 2000 will stop and goes to the desktop of Windows.

So this solution does not work for me. I also looked in the 3rah directory. I can find the files dx6z.dll and dx7z.dll. What do I have to do with these files. When I delete one of these files I will get an error message.

Please help.
