I am a true FIFA-fan from Sweden. Have been playing the FIFA-series since the fall of 1996 (FIFA 97 was released). I like the games very much even though the aren't as good as the NHL-series for example. I like hockey too and the NHL-games are better - it is a fact.
But, as a football/soccer-fan I enjoy playing the FIFA-games more. I bought the newest one, EURO 2000, recently and I have some issues/questions about the game:
(My machine is a P3 450 @ 504 Mhz, Creative TNT2 Ultra, Voodoo 2 SLI (12 Mb), 128 MB SDRAM, ASUS P2B, WD 18.0 Gb, SB LIVE! X-Gamer, Gravis Gamepad Pro, 32x CD-ROM and I have a full installation of EURO 2000)
(I have tried different drivers for my TNT2 Ultra, like 3.67, 5.13 and 5.16 from NVidia and the last drivers from Creative)
(For my Voodoo2's I have the newest reference drivers from 3Dfx that was released in febuary I think)
1.
EURO is slower than FIFA 2000. Of course, the gameplay is meant to be slower (that is good) but the game itself isn't as smooth as FIFA2000. For example, even though I have on the lowest details and in 640x480 I get "lag" when I do a crossball from one of my defenders up to one of my strikers. It also feels that my movements are delayed when I play with more details and in higher resolutions.

Please, write the settings that you have on your graphic-cards? (Either V2 or TNT2 Ultra)
Should there be specific settings in order to make the game go faster?

No real EURO-groups in the tournament. Is there any solution to that? Anyone who might have got the exact groups when you have been playing the EURO-playoffs?

As I said, I am from Sweden the game is bought there too ;-) I only have readme.txt in swedish. How many versions of EURO 2000 is there. Is there one for each country?

When I play with Italy vs Belgium for example I still hear the crowd chant:
* "Sverige, Sverige, Sverige" (which is Sweden in swedish)
* "Jajamensan, fattas bara - Jajamensan, fattas bara" (famous swedish chant)
* "Norge, Norge, Norge" (which is Norway in Norwegian)
* "Denmark, Denmark, Denmark" (you get it)
Why ???? Why ??? Because I have a swedish version? I get tired of hearing swedish chants all the time when they are not playing!!!

If you have been exploring the graphics that's on the EURO2000 - CD you will find some interesting things. I found the some trophys that does not belong in EURO 2000. You can find them in "data\be\player\trfy*.fsh"
I also found balls from 1950's, 1980's and one from 1990's. I also found a golden ball! It reminded me of the trophy a individual player get at the end of the season... Like the one Rivaldo got last year I think...

Isn't the offside-calls really strange sometimes. And, the moments where there is no offside -calls are even more interesting?

Why does Sweden have blue "away-jerseys"? I might have missed that in real life ;-\

When I played with Netherlands and reached the final I saw I cool stadium when I was about to select controller. This was the floating background to the controller-menu. The stadium had "banderolls" and stuff... Really cool. But when I started the game it was a different stadium. ??? Why? How come?

Why is there a delay after you exit EURO 2000 until the DOS-Window disappear? Why is there a DOs-Window?
11.
In FIFA 2000 you could score with the cross-pass-button. Why cant I do that anymore? The player just tries to find a teammate... ;-(

How can you tweak EURO 2000? Is there a way?

Why cant I use my SLI with the Voodoo-boards. The 3d-Setup only let me play at 800x600 at the most.
I would be happy if someone got answer some or all questions... There is a lot of problems to solve if you ask me ;-)
