Is anyone getting a "slow motion" effect when Corners are cleared for example. This happens for around 2 or 3 seconds then the game speed returns to normal?

What system? PSone, PS2, emulator?

this could only happen if u are using an emulator and your Video plugin is not configured properly.

I am using epsxe to play and has no problem with the motion. :)

It's the Official Game on PS2 , i've seen it on PS1 also.

For PS2, it is natural to have this slow motion because the graphics are superb. When taking a corner, there are a lot of players to render and thus, there is such an effect.
Other games like Virtual striker 2 ver2000 in arcade and dreamcast have this problem too.
For Ps1, i haven expierence anything lidat. I suspect that either, you console is a few years old or the CD is dirty or scratched. I had my PS1 for a few years and sometimes i have to turn my machine up side down to play games :)
