What is the difference between using a lib and a sw in the backline? thanks

or do u mean CB and SB?

I have found that positions don't mean too much. I think they are just there as a rough guide. Cast your eye over their stats and judge which player would be best for which position on that basis.

I think that Lib is a back that will foray into the attack when possible, has more liberty to join the attack.

A Sw is a sweeper that stays behind the back line to "SWEEP" up any balls that make it through.

I could be wrong though.
