i love ISS, i love it because itr plays like football it is as close to perfect gameplay as we have got so far. what i hate is that the people who made the current FIFA, i forget i think they're canadian, is that they don't read what we write, they dont take notice of the fact that we all rave over ISS because it is so superior, they dont take note and look at what KCET is doing right and its just stupid that they con people with the same crap time after time.
i would like to see a game where goals can be scored from all over the park, not all the time but the goalkeepers must be given different animations. im sorry but seaman does not have the physical agility to bend into backbreaking positions to tip the ball over the bar. simple. add a few animations for each keeper and for each type of dive say top corner, relate them to each keeper and each shot. its just football is not a predictable game yet EA has made the type of goals that it forces you to score very very predictable. and throw out that stupid tip ovetr the bar where the keeper turns around blinding himself to the flight of the ball and punches it over the bar. the dive that is caled for is the backward dive, take bodo illgners save from chris waddles shot in the world cup 1990 semi final there you have it animate that bitches

"goals can be scored from all over the park"

Do u know how to score from midfield in ISS or ISS 2? somewhere just after the centre line.

It can be done, though I never seen it for myself, I heard it from a friend who did that.

nah sorry
but ive scored a couple of times from around the half way line with Pélé in ISS:PE for the PSX.
and on the game Virtua Striker2000 for the Dreamcast i really liked the positioning of the keepers and the standard of the keepers because they could be beaten from about 45 yards. they could also be chipped and it allows much variation between goals... thats how it should be.

but u said that u scored a couple of times from around the half way line with Pélé in ISS:PE for the PSX.

How did you do it? do u aim at all?
after I passed the centre line, I press "shoot" with 3/4 of the power bar. Funny that when I press straight, the ball may curve a lot to either left or right.

I just go for the chip shot at nearly 100% and hope for the best - I've scored with it only once.

Hmmm...

never occur to me that I should try chip-shots... I had thought a full power bar will go high.

thanks Ian, i think its worth a try. http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/cool.gif

i thought he was on about the ISS made by KCEO. its more arcade and the goalkeepers dont have very good animations really. the n64 rip off

I scored once in match and few times on training but I dicovered it's much easier to beat keeper by a long chip, pressing first shot to 100% and when he'll be near to shot, then press L1
It is differend kind of lob than simply L1+shot
(and of course good thing is to be in sprint)
in ISS I always scored these shots with Batistuta (Butatista :P ) but it wasn't chips - rather la bomba a'la Carlos from half

/edit: 3 years ? I didn't suppose it :mexican: I thought it's about PES 3 :mexican:
