1) Where you edit the Formation of your team you should be able to use your mouse and drag the players into position, so you can have the perfect formation
eg.Having a support striker of to the side of your out and out striker.

2) The man of the match shouldn`t be the player who scores the most or a goalkeeper who keeps a clean sheet. EA should determine the man of the match by:
Goals
Assists in Goals
Completed Passes
Touches
Tackles
etc.
What do You think ?

The man of the match in FIFA 99 is not always the goalscorer or the keeper, but I don't know if it also holds true for 2000. For ex. I noticed midfielders sometimes getting man of the match without scoring any goals, for ex. Roberto DiMatteo on Chelsea, maybe FIFA 99 is keeping track of assists, or successful tackles and passes etc. in the game, but just doesn't show it to the user.

What I would like added is a player of the year award or something to that effect, ala what you get in NHL2000

Matter of fact i was talking about FIFA 99, and with me it`s always the top scorer or the GK, your lucky maybe i`ve got a dud game.

Yeah, player of the year is a good idea, they could base it on the player who gets man of the match the most and keep a poll for it throughout the season like the League leaders for Goals and Cards.

If they could do this they could also keep Assist, tacles and pass/shot accuracy statistics.

Ideas.

Team management should let you pre arrange a staring line up for each of the 3 IGMs seperately, or strikers become defenders. There should be linesman running. The no. of man forming the man wall should also be there.

If EA would allow you to control your man wall to jump or not to by assigning 1 man per key.

So if i pressed uiop, the first 4 men jump.
Like playing the piano...

Also, if only there were special features like the famous Arsenal Arms... etc. and kids comin' out with the teams in UEFA Champions league for picture takin' and the round UEFA flag in the kick off area before the match. Well, Each EA HQ in every continent can do these work to add in such features.

ALSO! NEVER REMOVE REALISTIC SKILL MODES USED N REALITY LIKE DOUBLE STEP OVER (ALT+E) IN fifa99.

darn. do u pple notice how sometimes the referee doesn't give an offside, or issue it when u r on side?

personally, I would like Ea Sports to hold off on fifa 2001. That way they don't send a finished product that isn't ready to the market. I was dissapointed in fifa2000. I liked it, but I think it didn't really set itself apart from fifa99 (like 99 did with the 98 version.
I say, let them work on fifa2002, so they can have more time to create an almost perfect game. Highly doubtful though, since EA is in it for the money and not to satisfy our soccer gaming needs.

I think that EA should utilize all of the cd. I noticed that the 2000 is only like 400-some-odd MBs. Like Unreal Tournament, which is 650 MB, that game is awesome. GT has used all of the space on a CD, why not other companies? We pay our hard-earned money and we should get a quality game, unless they price it for like $5.

I agree with fifa99_expert, leave in the realistic moves, no put in MORE realistic moves. What's with the spin move? Have YOU seen anyone pull that off? uh... no. All of the moves in 2000 are impossible to pull off, or at least won't work or haven't or never will, like the funky rainbow kick. GIMME A BREAK EA!! Watch a few reels of UEFA or Euro. games! PLEASE don't USE JULIE FOUDY FOR COMMENTARY!! BRING BACK MOTSON!!

EA puts out a new game for each sport they cover every year so that is really a non-issue. Ok maybe this game was not so good, some parts were good, some parts are very bad, overall mediocre game by their standards, but at least we can hope for improvement in the future.

why don't EA just listen to football fans for once instead of gamers. one big important thing is that during a match u should be able to see how good your players are performing as in cm3 and then at the end of the game the player with the most points would be man of the match.at the moment only a goal scorer and goalie get man of the match.

best idea, long way off yet

EA have gone one step in the right direction by having leagues and cups together in one season. all they need now is a format by which u can see the form of each of your players on a match-to-match basis. then it is easy to pick a squad for a cup competition. this is useful if squad r made bigger as in real life. then u pick your team according to form.also european championships and world cup should be incorporated and u should be able to call up players playing well for there clubs for these tournaments. the database of players needs to be increased. basically if u combine cm3 and fifa2000 u would have the best game ever.other seasons should be going on simultaneously around the world.

As far as only goalscorers and winning keepers getting man of the match. This is not true of what happens in FIFA 99, so if that is the case now in FIFA 2000 it is big step backwards.

For example I remember playing a game Arsenal-Leicester, and Kasey Keller(Leicester keeper) won the man of the match even though Arsenal won the game 1-0, I believe he made 10 or 11 saves, and Arsenal scored in the 85th minute.
Also I just played two games today, Barcelona-Espanol 2-1 Louis Enrique won the m of m even though he didn't score, and Charlton-Middlesboro 1-1 Kinsella won m of m and he didn't score in that game either.

I don't know if anyone over here is familiar with it, but in Belgium we have one of those comps of "make your own team". This is where they grade on:
for offenders: assists and goals
midfielders: good passes, assists, clean sheat of the team (for a small %).
defenders: clean sheat of the team (for a bigger %), good tackles etc.
