I would like to give some comments about The F.A. Premiership Football Manager 2001 game. It's Training Boost feature, in my opinion, lacks realism. It causes injuries to players during training too randomly ! There's simply no telling of the probablity that a player will get injured during a training session ! In most cases, boosting the squad can leave almost all the players injured !! This is pathetic! Of course we want the best out of our players in terms of performance and skills. And the Training Boost feature, meant to do just that, is a very uselesstool in the game !
I personally hate depending on the coaches to improve player performance. Firstly, the results are hardly significant, and secondly, they only improve over time which makes thirdly, they're hopeless and not worth my paycheck ! And with the kind of Training Booster the game has, might as well don't have it like in the Championship Manager series !
I hope that in the future series of F.A. Premiership Manager, the Training Boost feature is more realistic and useful. Probably a new statistics about a player's need for training or likelihood of getting injured during training is greatly appreciated, instead of frustrating random and unpredictable injuries. <Even with a training ground and excellent pitch conditions, players can yet get training injuries !> Players should be able to undergo training easily without injuries too ! But in FM2001, even players in tip-top shape can get training injuries.
Finally, I am writing this comment/ feedback on behalf of avid football fans and FM2001 gamers like myself. My friends whom I've recommended this game was disappointed with it. I hope that the FM2002 will be much better than before !
