View Full Version : a dream management game (certainly not FA Man 2002 - maybe 2052)

The most important thing for me is to be able to be promoted to manage international squads, if you do a good job at a club.
Apart from that it would be nice to include more teams in a division from other countries, (maybe take out countries which are useless from Asia, Africa, South America-I mean come on! you'll never buy a player from Ecuador or Ethiopia) and it would be a dream if we could choose what leagues to "activate" when we start a new game (World Manager by Ubisoft had a similar option). The more leagues you activate, the slower the game is. But you can play in them, not just in the 8 that are included right now. So if you want you can manage in Brazil, Argentina, Greece, Turkey, etc. (all with div.2 and spare teams) EA should also improve the Scout AI.
I just had an idea: What if the trophy room would really be a 3D room? And the stadium, the training facilities, ... You could walk around like in a 3D shooter. Nothing to do with management, but it's OK to dream.
Or even better: a whole Sims-like management-oriented game, where you interact with players, staff, take part in 3D training sessions, give indications, stay on the bench during the match and shout at the players? Just imagine that! I would stay on the PC "24/7" like Eminem puts it.

What did you just say about south america and others? You might not buy any players from Ecuador because you don't have a damn clue of what their names are. However, that doesn't mean they are worthless. Here is some news for you, Ecuador just beat Brazil in a qualifying game towards Korea/Japan 2002 World Cup. So, before you start judging other countries about their quality football, get to know them first.

Look I didn't mean to say that Ecuador&Co. are bad in real life (although I hope you don't think they're actually GOOD). But, however, these leagues are actually USELESS. Did you take a look in the editor? You could easily halve these leagues and noone would ever notice. Oh and I checked all the teams in the ecuadorian and zambian leagues (just a random pick): only a couple of players over 62 in about 20-24 teams. Wouldn't it be better to be able to play in many more championships but not have so many in the background? It would be great to be able to manage in all the FIFA-affiliated countries, but heck

I don't agree whith you Stelistu'.
I think that managing a national team should be a separate game. Better to use the programming power on the main idéa of the game.
I do agree that it would be nice to coach for example Argentina, Brazil etc, or to get to know some African teams. However not nessecary imo.
The types of views are just a question of implementation. The main issue is to make the gameing flow good. If the 3D view you suggest can be done in a good way, so why not?
I also see that you're a sim-fan. Well I'm not. That would make me select another management game.
