1. How does it differ from FIFA or any other football action game?
2. How does it work? What is the point of these manager games?
3. Why do some people find this fun? Isn't it just analysing statistics?
4. What are the basic controls the user has for these manager games?
5. What are the advanced controls the user has for these manager games?
6. How much control do you as a user have over your team during a game?
7. Do actually get to play/watch a game or do you simply read what happens in the game?
Thanks in advance,
I will try and answer these questions tonight, but i am in school now supposed to bedoing my coursework :P
1.Basically you do not control the players. You basically have to make your team win through great tactics, good buys/sells and superior formations.
2.The point of the game, like any other football game is to win and to become successful. Also with FM2002 you get goals when you sign a contract as a manager. The goals are basically to either win a league, get into europe, or to win a domestic cup to start of with for teams in the top division in their country. Also in your goal you have to acheive a financial goal.
It works through a series of options allowing you to manage your team, buy players, and even some chairman options like stadium extensions, developments etc.
3.Good point. I don't really know why i find it fun. Its probable the the great joy at taking Woking (a confrance team) into the champs league and beating people like Real, Lazio etc.
4.Squad: Lets you change team members, formation, youth players, training, reserve team etc.
Transfer: Transfer market, scout options and just a wide database of player and team names to find out info.
Analysis: League +cup tables, calender, matches, charts, etc.
Admin: Overveiw of your income/spendings, stadium extensions, deveopments, pitch upgrades, hiring of staff etc.
Game Options: Save, main menu and game options.
5.Not to sure what you mean by this one. But you can do a day to day training programme, send out scouts to give thier verdict on players etc.
6. There is 4 ways to do a match. either quick match, which just gives you the result, fast view which now is a bit like the CM matches with nots on the players actions, 3D highlights which the chances and goals in the game and 3D match which is the gamre live. In fast veiw you can do anything a managert can do in real life, put on subs, change the formation etc. in Quick match and3D highlights, you can't do anything and in the 3D match you can do the same as in Fast Veiw, but the subs do not normally come on within 15 game mins because the ball rarly goes out of play.
7.You cannot paly the games, but you can veiw them.
Hope that helps.....
