I found out today who is the best player in the game skill wise, and it is Balabonov who is a 22 year old Isreali who player in Bulgaria for Dobrich. But the strangest thing is, he has a skill is 99!! He cost £36,500,000 and hes Non-Eu, so if he was Eu he would cost in the region of £60,000,000+!

I set his arse down to 43 skill level.

Anyway, if you are Arsenal do not sell Van Bronchorst, he goes up to 90 skill at the end of the first season, as well as Haman from Liverpool. Other good players at the end of the first season are Campell, Silvinio, veria and Stevonofs ( wrong spelling) for Arsenal. Also the whole of Liverpools defense is mid to high 80's in skill as is Gary Neville from Man U.

Balabo-who? Actually, I have found him, but it's rediculous that a relatively unknown player is almost perfect in the game.

Denilson, Stam and many others who were good in FM 2001 are still good buys, but (thank god!) Madsen has been restored to an average player (69-93 in one day near the end of the season in FM 2001 was as bad as what they've done with Balabonov!).

When the site's up and running I've got an update ready that fixes Balabonov plus the English transfers up to 1 October 2001 (the game is only updated to mid-July, plus the odd transfer here and there from early August).

I'm currently finishing an update for every major league in the world which will still take a little while.

It's hard to do a database because some of the transfers weren't put in from like mid July, while some transfers from last month are in the game. They pretty much screwed around with the database.

Balabonov=Bought him once he got injured and retired.Never again
Bramble=Train him right and he is class
Brown=He's class.After a season or two you cant beat him
Barry= Watch his skill rise nuff said:cool:

Papa=If you need a right winger he's your man
Cole=Best midfielder
Gerrard=Class
Gerard= (barca) also class
Olembe=Solid although dont score many
Cassano=If you can get him early its worth it

Strikers

Owen= train him with endurance and his injury proness will fly down.Then he is class
Saviola= Just a must have really.Scored 55 goals in 59 games in first season:)
Beranvivivi= (something like that) solid
Smith=Class
Keane= he is awsome.Keep him on the bench and start him every 10 games he will score 4 goals:D then rest him again.If you play him to mush hw wont score.Work well with saviola
