I'm just wondering which of the ISS, WE, series is the best, and which should be avoided, if any?

I've never played any of these games, but they look amazing and the reviews can't be beat, so I think I'm going to invest here (and I mean INVE$T, since I have to order it from abroad because they don't sell it where I live)....so I wanna make sure I pick the right one's.

Playstation 1 - ISS Pro Evolution 2

Playstation 2 - ISS (by the development team behind the N64 version)
- Pro Evolution Soccer (the European version of Winning Eleven 5)

Winning Eleven is the Jap game (along with Jinkoyo Soccer)

Oh and Pro Evolution Soccer is an updated (and better) version of Winning Eleven 5.

A question to ask you is whether you have a PS2 or not. Because the latest games play on PS2 only (a modded one depending on where you live). So that is something else to look out for. The general rule with ISS/WE/PES games is to get games made by KCET and avoid the rest, because the gameplay is just not the same

I finally saw this game, simply awesome!
better gameplay and the graphics are better than Virtual Striker!

if you're gonna get one .. it'll have to be the latest version !
So if you have a PS 2 you'll get PES

otherwise it's not much point. coz you'd only get frustrated seeing the better versions

Well, I was planning on playing it with the epsx emulator, so I guess I'm limited to the PS1 versions....

So, I guess ISS Pro Evolution 2 would be the right choice here?

oh, and one more quick question......

Just out of curiosity, is ISS Pro Evolution the same as ISS Pro 2000? if not, which is the better one?

it exists, but all you get is japanese teams, i'll take some screenshot if you want (it's not so different than isspe2)
