look at this, i found it somewhere on the NET,

Confused about the two games?
I was very priveleged to get a reply from the associate producer of FM 2002. As there might be a bit of confusion about the game known as Fussball Manager 2002 I asked Mark (associate producer of FM 2002) If Fussball Manager was the sequel to FAPLFM 2001 or was FM 2002 to come out?

This is what he wrote :

Hi Marco,

Previously, one version of the EA Manager game has been developed, and then localised into other languages (namely French and German).
However this year, to try and boost the profile of the German version of the game, a completely new dev team has been set up in the EA Germany office, and they will develop the German version of Manager (known as Fussball Manager 2002). The main 2 guys who design and program the game have already developed a well known German football manager game, and the new game is already shaping up very nicely. It will look and play differently to the English version to maximum the specifics of the German market.

"The F.A. Premier League Manager 2002" will continue to be developed in the UK (and this version of the game will be localised into French and be known as LNF Manager 2002).

So yes, both games come from EA, but will only be sold into the relevant localised territory. Hope that clears everything up.

Cheers,
Mark.

I hope after reading this article all of you will understand why all of a sudden a game called Fussball Manager game out and worried you a little if FM 2002 will carry on to be produced.
