So hard it is to find useful information about FM2000.

I found quite a few fansites but they were all German...

I never played FAPLM before, so when I got this one (2002) I was quite happy...for a while. Then I saw all the bugs and strange balancing in 3D-mode and such. After I read some stuff on the net, I started to believe there will never even be any fixes for the game, since ppl said EASPORTS only wanted to make money, not patches. Hmm...

Ah well, another thing in my bought copy of the game...the editor is Fussball Manager Bundesliga 2001!!!??? That can't be right, can it? Anyways, I figured out how to create a new player and he played well in the game, but his stats NEVER changed in 2 seasons, not up, not down. Bleh!

So I searched the net, and behold...EASPORTS doesn't even mention FAPLM2002 anywhere on the online site...Very curious in deed! And nowhere in the manual or on the box how to report or register. Now I start to believe this is some scam too...

So, I suggest we compose a buglist, then make as many members as possible to sign it and then maybe we can make EASPORTS consider a patch? Well, one can dream...

With some bugs fixed, some balancing done in the 3D-game and with an english editor I think this game would be great. I still like it, but would probably love it if those things happened.

A few of serious bugs and unbalanced things.

- No youth team second season? What use is the school of excellence then?
- You have 7 spots for coaches, but can only use 2 + ass man?
- 2-3 yellow cards every match even if I play without any aggression and with contain...and good tacklers (this happens in conf-div3..I haven't tried premier league)
- Staff support list is AWFUL..It should be updated every month or so with new staff to hire...and better ones!
- In 3D Matches...there is no way to get the formation screen? If to defenders are sent off or injured I have to play the game with only 2 defenders?
- In 3D again...an attacker with speed 22 can never outrun a defender with speed 10? Ridiculous.
- Matchratings and goalscoring list are FAKE. One guy in my team kicked like 30 goals one season, but was only credited for 8..the missing goals went to other members of the team...and matchrating...a player that kicks 5 goals in a game gets the rating 6? Bah.
- Offsides!!!
- Irritating freekick movie in 3D...I wish I could turn that off....forever!

And the list goes on...and on...and I won't even go in to how many different ways the game can crash...

But as I said, I still like the game...lots of things are fun, but...Ah well.

Sorry if this post is long, but there is no other place where I can complain so you got the worst of it :)

So what are your thoughts about all this?

Btw, Perhaps you know a way how I can download the ENGLISH editor that will work properly?

Mannnn...like u said bugs are on and on sounds like it is a difficulty level in the game that whenever u pass more and more in the game new unknown bugs are stepping on ur foot....anyways ur lucky u been to the second season...i have a problem turning my head off the game always crach and back to desktop screen at certain date (1st of october 2001)...any suggestions?

I have never had the problem about not changing players in 3D.
I have always been able to do that. Well your right there are alot of Bugs in the game. BTW i have the english Editor... Maybe we can arrange something..

I totally agreed that the game can be improve greatly. IF only EA guys are looking at our forum. Anyway to tell them about the bugs and come out with any patch??
