I love yer design too......btw since you are a grafix expert how do you make yer grafix.
Coz sometimes I wanna make certain things but can't find the right quality pictures or photos for it, how do you do it?

every pic you use got it's copyrights, so you need to buy it
or you'll buy a specific pic, or you can buy an image book
which certenly costs less and got far more pics
but those are general and known pics unlike a specific pic
that you buy from an image bank.

all the designs that I've posted here are CD covers
and are in music stores, all of them are of a
new age/world music.

The True, I actually have a bit of a visual arts background (Illustration & Landscape Design), so I know a little about colour and composition, etc. which helps, but I know there are many principals of graphic design which I'm not aware of, so please feel free to give me any tips..would greatly appreciate it :) Your stuff is amazing, btw, gets me inspired looking at great work like that.

Thos CD covers are just amazing, lovely colours etc.....excellent.

Philler, you don't get it from the web,
you buy it at store (image/clipart books) or in an image bank department (an ordered specific image).
the difference is that in an image book, every one who buy it buy the copyrights for the pics, and if you make a design for a big company you can't use an image that everybody knows, you need to buy an image that is exclusivly yours and nobody else is allowed to use.

Kill4Benfica, I know that when they teach design
you hear about hot colors, cold colors, matching etc.
my rule is that there are no rules...
it's depense a lot of what you're making,
if you make something related to trance,
you can either make it monogrphic and classic
or make it crazy and blend with 1,000s of colors
each one is a different style.
so as I've said: there are no rules.

Me presonally, I just practice a lot and play around with the program checking out what everything does.

I'm actually new to Photoshop, I've only had the program for a couple weeks.....although, I have used Corel Draw for quite a while. I read tutorials online, and follow along step by step, this helps a lot I think.

I wanted to attached an image....its a Fireworks 3 image...and its in .png format..Can anyone tell me how to convert it to .gif

Can't you just open the image in Fireworks, then go to "file" and "save as", then just choose to save it as a GIF from the pull down menu? I think that would work.

I tried that but in the save as options only png formats come up....

Hmmm....I'm not familiar with Fireworks at all so I'm just guessing here, but is there an "export" function under the "file" pull down menu? If there is, then try to export it, I know in Corel Photo-Paint you have to use "export file" to change the type. Maybe Fireworks is like that too.

I've made about 1,500 proffesional designs
which are somewhere at stores... and I must say
that there were times that I was stucked in a style
and I even lost costumers because of it...

so keep your head open...

I wish I could learn some of this stuff.

About the fly? well, the black fly is the national bird of Canada, didn't you know? :D Seriously, I dunno why I use it, I guess I think they're kinda cool looking, especially up close. Almost looks like an alien or something?? :confused:

its Really Confusing ....

this is quite a collection...:D
a lot of the programs are flash and animation programs
and even video editing (adobe premier)
so my suggestion is to start from the basic...
which is not so easy too...

Adobe Photoshop 5.5
Ulead Cool 3D

and Macromedia Freehand, which probebly you won't have
a lot to do with it, cause it's more for standings and arrangeing

but those are the basic programs from each group.

I recently visited Delhi (capital of India) where there's a computer market....and people who have no knowledge about the softwares,,are selling pirated cd's...when i asked him about the photoshop...he said he had it but he only charged me price for the cd....Thats what its like here in india...Now i'm planning to go to delhi to get cd of winxp and office xp...

As Regard this collection i have started with photoshop 6 ..along with that i bought a book ..."Sam's teach yourself Adobe Photoshop 5.5 in 24 hrs'.....

yeah, I'm relativly new to computer graphics I guess, I had always done traditional art like illustration, hehe even went to a 'poofy' art school for two years..... so it wasn't a really hard transition, just had to familiarize myself with the software...:) Art is art I guess, just depends on what you use to make it
