With the MLS cup semifinals upon us, I would like to offer my predictions and would welcome anyone else's. Chicago over LA in 3 and Miami over San Jose in 2. Chicago beats Miami 3-0 in MLS Cup. The Fire have the best goalkeeper in Thorton, a great creator in Nowak, and plenty of good scoreres. I say the Fire could compete in any league in Europe.

They would never win any of eurpoe's top leagues. Anyway I think LA will get past Chicago and Miami thru against San Jose. Not sure about the final.

What's happens to DC United. A few years ago they were the top side.

DC United got rid of most of their old roster for new fresh one. In turn it back fired on them, and now have failed to reach the past two playoffs including this one.

Game one of Semis(10/10/01):

> Miami Fusion F.C. (1:0) San Jose Earthquakes <

(Miami leads with 3 points)

> Chicago Fire (1:1) Los Angeles Galaxy <

(Both teams tied at 1 pt. a piece)

Do you guys in Europe see MLS there at all???

I discoverd the MLS on a trip to San Fran a few years ago now ...
And have tried to follow it ever since
in england you often get coverage on Channel 5 ... but it's quite late at night.

MLS broke a world soccer record for the longest travelled distance between two teams in the same league!

Los Angeles Galaxy and the New England Revolution have to travel a whopping 2985.3 miles to play eachother at their respective venues. I got this source from the Guinness Book of Records.

I'm telling you, MLS is such an underestimated league. This league has such talented, granted that most leagues have very talented players. MLS is a very young league, beginning in 1996. We have 12 teams (and growing, eventually) and hopefully one day we'll have the same potencial as any other league like the ones in Europe, but for now we are evolving into that one season at a time.

Yeah very good players like Stoichkov, who have nearly 40 years :D :D :D

I'm talking about the younger players! The reason why we have veteran players such as Stoichkov, is for them to show the younger players the breaks in soccer. Remember this is a young league, so we don't have many veterans with a lot of experience, that's why we sign them.:crazyboy:

If you had ever seen an MLS game, you would know that Hristo can still play. He can't play the whole game anymore, but Stoichkov is a great late substitute who still has a knack for goal scoring.

hristo is a great player, but has a very very bad caracter

I think DC United was forcibly dismantled by a secret MLS conspiracy in order to keep them from dominating the league every year thus causing prospective new fans to lose interest when the same team wins it over and over. :D

Anyway Chicago Fire is good but DC will be back! Screaming Eagles!

I'm still waiting for New York City to get their new expansion team. The name for the new franchise will either end up being the Cosmos(like the NASL team) or EMPIRE(My personal favorite). But for now I am a Tampa Bay Mutiny fan.:p

Is that in addition to the Metrostars? I like the name Empire too... I hope Seattle gets an MLS team soon.

YEAH GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES !!!!!!!!

Beat Miami 1-0 and will win the final thanks to a hat trick to Landon Donovan who is the man. :) :)
