Hi all,
I would just like to tell everyone (however I'm sure you already know) how **** FAPLM2002 is.

I bought the game just 24 hours ago and in just 2 hours play time. The game has refused to install once, and when I finally did get the game installed it refused to load up.

I have all the bits and pieces and software etc. needed for the game to work, but just like the previous FAPLFM2001 (which I have also) when I click on any of the links to load up either game, the title screen flashes up, the screen goes black for a second or two and the game stops loading. Whats up with that?

Please if anyone has any advice please help.

Had exact same problem...its something to do with the copy protection I think, after installing the No Cd patch it runs fine though there isnt any music or intro movie.

Pretty ridiculous having to install a No Cd patch to run a game I've purchased.

www.gamecopyworld.com has the patch.

I ahve never had any problems.

When I download the NO CD Patch I get asked where I want to add the winzipped file to. Where do I send it?

White tiger - I don't know how much experience you have with this so...its a compressed file which you'll need to uncompress with winzip, www.winzip.com , and replace your original footballmanager.exe with the footballmanager.exe from the compressed archive.

Most people just save downloaded files to a temporary directory, c:\temp or whatever. As I said I dont know your experience with this stuff so I hope Ive answered your question somewhere :)

I ****ing know how to unzip winzipped files. but when I unzip this file another winzip file pops up and this keeps repeating.

When I first download the NO CD Patch, I get a box flash up onto the screen asking me to:

Click the program you want to use to open the file 'FAPLM2002_noCD[1].ace'.
If the program you want is not in the list, click Other.

Then it has a smaller box for the:

Description of '.ace' files:

and finally a list of all the programs I can use. This is where I originally pressed Winzip, and the file became a winzip file. However no matter how many times I unzip the file, I still can't use it (remains as either the original file or as a winzip file).

So I was just wondering if this came up when any of you downloaded the same file. If so which program did you use to open it?

Bingo I've got it, I know why our game isn't loading up.

The problem is that our newly downloaded Direct X files, (FAPLFM2001-Direct X7 and FAPLM2002-Direct X8) need a new video card or at least a newer version of the video cards that we have at the moment.

All we have to do is to find out what video card our computers have and then download a newer version of it. Then our computers should let the game run normally from the start, with everything included(video sequences, music etc). No need for NO_CD Patches.

yeah of course if you have an antic video card it's normal that it doesn't work....Bu even if it works...the game is crapp

Also ace archives made with a newer version of winace than you are running can have problems.
I've already got latest Gforce2 drivers and Directx8.something so I don't know what its problem is...I also have D-tools installed for running PSX images from HD and some copy protections have this prog black listed..

Zepenguin - yer the 3D matche engine still sucks, what the hell were they doing for a year ??

Perth Glory: It's normal, it EASPORTS, they're too lazzy...I thing the best visualisation yet is the fifa soccer manager one, it was cool. Why didn't easports kept that one in place of doing some crap 3d visu....

I had also the trouble with the graphics scree, but then I installed the newest driver from Nvidia to my Geforce 2 card, it al work.

To Ze Penguin find out what 3D card you have and I can maybe help you.:D :D
