Kanu retirted after getting, a bloody dead leg, the ****ing ****y! Thats normally a week out. Now he has turened into a Tallent Scout, with about 25% skill.

This does my head in.I had saviola and olembe retire in the same season.Both worth in the excess of 30+20 million respectivly each. Is there anyway of stopping this.If you insure against this does that help??

I was tight for money at the beggining of the season, i needed a couple of players, so i didn't insure them. Thats probably why :(

By the way, does anybody know - do saving and loading game help before the end of the injury? I've tried loading several times but a player retires anyway

But, guys, I know a way to avoid retirement after injuries
I do not garantee that it works - I've tried it myself once only.
Try to give an injured player free transfer before the end of the injury! Then buy him back. Players do not retire from injuries when they have free transfer! The problem is that your President does not want to offer good contract to a free transfer player and the player does not want to play for cents
But, if you manage to get a counter proposal from the player and accept it, then the President says nothing. Here loading games can help.

Well, a costy way, but it worked

So far as i know, in FM2001, save and load doesn't work. You can only save and load before they got injued to avoid the retirement, otherwise just pray.
