Or even your greatest ISS moment (ie spectacular goal-line clearance). As we all know the coolest thing about ISS Pro x is that every game is different and no two goals are the same. I gotta go right now so I'll post my greatest ISS moment/goal in a few hours. What are yours?

Man, thats a tough one, the game is si deep, and even a simply worked tap in can make you go ballistic if you're 0-0 and need a win, I've had some of those in my time.

One of my more memorable ones happened the other night at my mates house. Iv'e got a couple of buddies I play futsal with, and we like to get together and throw ISS tournaments here. I always play as Italy, love the defense and the passing. My mate always plays as France, tough to beat these guys, and the other friend plays as Brazil, and uses the 3-4-3 formation, with Roanaldo out wide( opens his defense, but also gives him options up front) We play a round robin 3 team tournament.

Well anyways, the first game I won against the Frebch from a great free kick deflection, and the greatest opportunist of all, Pippo Inzaghi, finished it off for a 1-0 win. The French played better, but with tight marking on Henry, and their midfield crippled by a 2 defensive mids infront of my defense, they had no chance. France-Brazil ended with a 2-2 draw when Zidane found a cutting Trezeuget for a well placed goal in the final minutes. So it was down to a Brazil - Italy clash, to decide 1st place. All I need is a draw, but I cannot be content to defend all game. Early chances missed for both teams, including a driver from the right by Fiore, saw us head into thebreak with a 0-0 stale mate. Some half time subs to replace the tireless Nesta, and refresh the back line a bit. Brazil struck soon after with a perfectly placed long ball, Elber got onto the end of it, 1-0 Brazil, Toldo was helpless. Another 10 minutes of Brazilian pressure resulted in acrobatic saves from Toldo, and some counter opportunities for us.

88 minutes in, plus some stoppage time, Italy build an attack. I knock into the midfield, and out again, looking for the gaps, and sure enough Montella broke through, recieved a weighted lobbed through pass on the left, took on his defender and cut inside of him. This gave me some room to work and draw 2 defenders goalside by the touchline. Not knowing exactly how to play it, and not seeing if anyone followed Montella in behind, I passed it across the goal, just out of reach of Dida. It went to the opposite post infront of a helpless Brazilian defence, seemingly to no-one, but out of the blue sprints in Totti, and slots it away into the empty net ! GOAL !! 1-1 !!!

I ran around the living room like a madman ! Winning the tournament, I also won a combo from McDonalds :D

It's things like this that make ISS such a remarkable game. To a FIFA fan, my story might seem lame and silly, they'll wonder why i didn't just dribble past 4 players and smash it into the goal at 600mph, but then they haven't expirienced the brilliance, as we have. To an ISS fan, the above rings remarkably true, and is a true testament to the masterpiece we call ISS.

hehe, multiplayer f'ing rocks. Do you have a multi-tap? 4 player ISSPE2 is gaming bliss. I've decided upon my fav. ISS moment - a 4 - 3 Uruguay vs. Argentina thriller that my friends and I played a few weeks ago - I'm dead tired so I'll write about it tommorow (well, tommorow for me, is actually today since it's 3 am, but...ah...I'll shut up ;)

Has anyone here scored by doing an overhead/bicycle kick? I've connected with an overhead kick TWICE but I've never scored, my mate did with Shevchenko, he was going ballistic running around the house.....lucky git...

My mate did do a diving side volley with Owen into the top left hand corner, he let me hear it for days. I've had a corner kick overhead with Van Nistelroy, only to be cleared off the line by Tudor. I had to pause the game to breathe, I was down 2-1 at the time.

btw. that post of mine wasn't multiplayer, it was a tournament where everyone controlls their team. I won it that time, lost last night :(

But the one that was the most awesome was when I was argentina vs brazil, and it was the final of a world cup, and it was 2-2 and brazil had a corner with the time on 43-44min in the 2nd half.

Well, for some reason, they only had the one guy right on the half way line in defense marking Crespo, with batistuta off to the side with no-one marking him.

So anyway, they took the corner and It was headed out and landed at Ortega's feet, so I quickly turned and passed to Crespo, who I then got to do a one-touch through ball for bati.

He got it, sprinted like hell, slowed when I was nearing the goal box, turned on a bit of an angle, and then let 'il leone' rip a shot off. If you play with batistuta, you pretty much know what it's like.

It was an injury time world cup winner. The goal wasn't anything spectacular, just a standard big shot, but the time it was scored made it my most 'important' goal I guess you could say.


Of course, I also done a fecking awesome free kick with Caniggia from 34m out and a 'step-over' goal (only my 2nd ever, my first the semau one up there' with pele in the same match against my brother. Somehow, it's always more satisfying against a human!

Most memorable time for me playing was playing ISS PE1 during the first week or so, watching the computer play football, absolutely killing me in every area.

I was getting completely outplayed by a little grey box, it was playing football while I was trying to play fifa :)
I was sprinting in and diving into tackles and as in real life the computer just steps aside and watches you fly past.
I kept pressing pass repeatedly to try and pinball the ball to their area, but my stupid players kept on screwing up the passes when they were off balance :)

So I tried sprinting through the middle and I could past 1, maybe 2 players but then someone else was always there waiting to pinch the ball off me, in FIFA I could take Tony Adams the full length of the pitch and drill it in the top corner. And if I did make it into the area I'd end up putting the ball on the stadium roof. I was convinced the PSX was a cheat :)

Then over a week I started to play tactically, passing the ball around, switching the play when it got tight on one side of the pitch to open up gaps and creating more chances. Then I figured hey, the players shoot better depending on which foot, the way they are facing and if they're under pressure or not then it dawned on me...goddammit fifa blows!!

I had actually bought the game the game for my brothers birthday but had decided to get some practice in to make sure it wasnt an even first match :) then I was the one getting abused for cheating.

Best goal scored - any goal scored with original master league team is pretty special.

Best save - again any shot that the original keeper in the master league manages to save is a bit of a surprise.

I just made some estimates to answer Neutral's question. I estimated that I've played about 500 WE5 games since I got the game. (conservative estimate) and in the 500 games, I've scored 1 pure volley and 1 half over head kick. I have both capture for everyones viewing enjoyment, once i find a host (sportsplanet.com).

As far as experience. I know I posted some in this this (http://www.soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19746) but I've had some more great ones. Like a 2-2 game of Holland (me) vs Brazil. Or after losing a few games, getting pissed off and I look at the calender and I have Paraguay next. I have a very healthy and ready to rock team and guess what, I pound Paraguay and their great keeper 6-1. My most dominating performance was Holland (me) vs England 6-0. Talk about a perfect 15 mins of football. Passing, making the English players chase and my team just making the ball do all the work, just a fantastic game. Or my worste loss Holland (me) vs Cameroon 0-5. I'll describe one of the goals just to show you how this day was going. It's a rainy (miserable) evening and I'm defending. Then Olembe (I love that name, hehe) takes on one of my defenders and blasts a low shot from about 23 yards to my keeper. the ball bounces about 2 m ahead of the keeper, who tried to catch it but because of the slipery surface (and the fact that he had given up 2 goals already :rolleyes: ) he scuffed the save. Then Mboma was there to make no mistake about the rebound. Just a sneak peak at that game.

I have scored so many different goals, the list is endless.

But the best goal I remember is when I was Engaland playing agiainst Germany. The score was 2-2, and the clock was ticking, but I needed a goal in order to qualify for the next round. Then in the last minute I played a through ball to Beckham on the wing and the he crossed it, and the ball curled into the back of the net. I was shocked and amazed at the same time, I was jumping with joy. I mean sometimes I hit the post or the top of the net when I cross it, but to score a goal like that it was amazing.

The thing is I am so good at this game I can score many different goals.

I shot from the right edge of the box, keeper saved and I scored the rebound (I have scored 3 goals, since I've only played 15 minutes or something like that) :)

Mine is simple.
I've been playing KCET games consistently since May 2000 and this game stands out by a mile :-
Playing one of my first Seasons in the Master League (Hard) on ISSPE2 with four games left in Division 1 as Manchester i was 11 points in front and playing really well,Bayern Munich were 2nd.
27th game i lose , Bayern win - No worries still 8 points in front.
28th game i lose , Bayern win - 5 points in front , start to panic a little decide to mess with formation for next game.
29th game i lose,Bayern win - 2 points in front , Formation change didn't work, going into the last game i also have a +4 goal difference.
Game 30 - I have Arsenal away, Bayern have Marseille (if i remember correctly).
Half Time it's 1 v 1 in my game , i was that nervous that i didn't wait to see the half time result from the Bayern game.
55th Minute - Babangida.....Goal
80th Minute - Henry , there level.
Then in the 88th minute Giggs picks up the ball and smacks a fantastic shot into the top corner from 25 yards - Get in there! After reverting to a 6-3-1 formation for the last 2 minutes i manage to hold on.
After all my joy and excitement i began to calm down slightly , checking through the results..........Bayern 5 v 0 Marseille!
If i'd drawn my match they'd have won the League - I couldn't believe it! Amazing! , Thats ISSPE2!
This stands out above everything i've done on any ISSPE game. :)

Using myself on the U23 Cameroon team, first round of the Olympics.
Breaking through the midfield it becomes a 2 on 3, i keep the ball with a winger on both sides, as soon as i see on my radar one comign to me i pass to the covered side (1-2) and receive the ball back, beautifully timed... then the keep comes charing out and i have to one time it by him...
the make up of an average goal, this is when it turns "special".

the ball hits one post, along the line... hits the other post... back along the line to the middle. THe goalie and i are scrambling towards it, meanwhile one fo their (czech) defenders gets there first and turns to clear it. i get there in time and stop his boot, but, since i got there earlier than expected i was hitting slide check, but had the ball, so i turn (even though i have an open net) and cross it (im about 2 yards out, and 2 yards in from the right post) to my cf (im a cm), he heads it, the goalie dives, misses it, it hits the cross bar, comes back down to my cf...

so now, my cf is facing the net, about 3 yards out. their goalie is gettin gup and racing towards me (maybe 2 feet away) he's sliding at me, i tap shoot, my foot goes back, their keep is going to save it though, meanwhile, their right defender who hasn't been in it up til now, comes out of nowhere and checks me from behind, knocking the ball diagonally away from me, past the keeper and in the net.

it was great. but what i love about iss, is it seemed so real at the time; except for my whole accidental cross thing, but we wont mention that

Ive changed PE2 teams to English Premier. Man U vs Liverpool.

Man U come out on form, first few minutes Im pressuring when the ball comes to Nistelrooy, he fires it wide of the goalie, and in the far post.

Man U on the up...., then a breakaway, Gerrard plays a superb curling through ball to Owen skins Blanc, Silvestre comes across and Owen nutmegs him, cuts back past Blanc and slots it under Barthez. Liverpool then come forward, my team demoralised, Owen scores and then Heskey nods in a corner. Game over me thinks...........

Time to bring on Veron for Scholes, try and change the pattern a bit (they were cutting out my midfield with Gerrard, Redknapp and McAllister).

Corner and I hit it over everybody, Beckham retrieves, and chips it into the box, headed to the edge of box and Veron chests it down and wallops it , in off the post, yesss Im back in with a chance.

Time to bring on Solskjaer :)..

I play a long ball over the top with Beckham putting enough curl on it to keep it away from the Goalie.. It looks like Hyppia got it then he stumbles (lucky bas****), I take my chance and hit it first time with Solskjaer 25 yards it rockets off the bar, 3-3, Ive rescued it with 11 minutes to go....

Last minute corner, Giggs swings it in, headed away Veron on the edge of the box, decided to head it back into the box (wouldnt have had time for a control & shot). Solskjaer on the 6 yard box, Hyppia tight on him, back to goal... the ball bounces and Solskjaer swings a wild shot, scoops it just into the roof of the net, 4-3 air punching, GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL...... f*** you Hyppia.............. any further out & the ball flies over the bar...

The last goal was awful an shot.. but it was important, Ive never scored so many different goals in a match.. never ever in FIFA


What is superb is how your teams morale goes up and down during a match, at 3-1 my team were awful, a lucky chance for Veron, and my team were on the up... At 3-3 Liverpool couldnt touch me, Giggs was stripping the left flank for fun, Verons passing was superb... and Solskjaer running was opening them up.

Owen recieves the ball from Davids in the corner. Owen dribbles past Arse, fake cross, skips past another defender. Owen is running parrelel to the goal on the 18. He cuts in, now hes in the box, shoots a laser bottom left corner, goal.

Final Score- 6-4

20 mins. Hard

Its amazing how in the all star game the scores are realistically high, but in a world cup game the scores are usually 2-1, 3-2.

Think you were excited?? Yesterday, I ATTEMPTED a scissor kick, missed (just barely), and I still damn near had a heart attack!!

Some forum members on my ICQ list have seen this goal. I was playing with Italy (for those of you who know me will know that that is rare). Playing against Ireland. So someone has it in the center of the field....Totti starts to make a run towards the box from about 35 yards out..but the Ireland Defence (well...basically...Roy Keane) forces me to pass it to the left side of the field (i'm attacking right to left). So i pass it to Zambrotta...in the mean time Totti is still running...Zambrotta spots Totti's run so he does a chip thru pass into the box, the pass goes to Montella instead...Totti hasn't stopped his run...instead of receiving the ball Montella bends his knees and heads the ball over the head of the defender that was breathing down his back, over the shoulder of the sweeper who was coming out to help the defender marking Montella and into the path of Totti who never broke stride all this time...well it was sort of into the path, I pressed the shoot button and Totti gave a diving header. He had plenty to do on the diving header tho cos the ball was to his left and he had to go down to head it but he snapped his upper body just as he made contact with the ball and placed it in the back of the net. Just beautiful play. Took three passes but i finally got it to Totti and he made no mistake of it. I should really put some of my goals somewhere for everyone to dl. Some of them are just must sees.

Oh yeah, another one I scored yesterday night...I was playing...I've forgotten, anyway, I was Holland (more like it ;) ) and Overmars is coming down the right wing, he whips in a cross and the keeper is standing near post but he thinks to himself, I can get to this ball...so he comes out a little to fetch the ball, but he is like .5368 inches short of the ball, and Kluivert, who assumed the keeper would miss, heads the ball violently off the finger tips of the goalie, it was pretty. On the replay, it was amazingly close how the keeper was the getting the ball and how Kluivert thunderously headed the ball.

well congrats :D actually i never scored a bicycle kick, i'm already happy when my player touches the ball when trying one, of course it goes always 30 m wide but...:p

Hey just out of curiosity (no disrespect), was it a clean bicycle, like was the players back facing goal when he hit it or was it a volleyish kind of play. I've had two bicycle attempts, both in training. one went to the parking lot (honestly). The other player missed the ball so bad :p , I had to pause the game and LOL for a while before i could play again. But I've scored on two volley attempts, one off a freekick where Overmars was in the air when he hit the ball (kinda like in the PES vids) and another with Kluivert who just turned and whacked the ball, didn't leave the ground much.

Well i think in training i scored one or 2 clean bicycle kick and a bucnh of accrobatic volleys...



btw did you guys ever tried a bicycle kick in a real football match?

I didn't know you could "try" bics. In WE5 the player has to be in good position and he has to be open and the ball had to be in place for him to even try it, whether he scores or not is a different story.

Oh ;) now your talking. I didn't catch the real life. (plus ISS, real life, same difference :p ) I've attempted three bics in real life, one of which I scored the other two...let's not dwell on them ;) :p

hehe it doesn't happend often to get a chance of a bicycle kick, so if i get one, i'm not shy to try my chance :D . I played for a team for 7-8 years and it only happened to me once :rolleyes:

But when playing with friends it happends a little bit more often, and well...i missed a bunch of these attempts but i scored 2 :D

no, it was a full bicycle kick. actually his back was facing the goal, because the cross was behind him. he jumped, put his right foot up, then kicked with his left, at this point he is horizontal to the ground, and struck perfectly to the bottom left corner

it was with Lawson. he is a made-up player in the master leauge, in ISS PE1. i was surprised because his shot accuracy is about a 5 i think.

Speaking of bicycles, I played with Croatia a lot, and Suker tries A LOT of them. Like one in every ten matches, if you place the ball right for him. He misses a few, but most of the time he hits is way over the bar. I hit the bar three times and once the goalie got a glove on it for a corner. I made a 3/4 bicycle though, which was cool,

Where do I start? I have had so many great games and goals I could write for days. But there is one that will always stand above the others......

I was in the middle of a Master League as Liverpool and at a crucial stage of the season I played Monaco away. There was seventy minutes gone. I couldnt break their defence for anything. At this stage Maradona broke through just past the half way line. He then pumped the ball near Owen who was on the edge of the box. But it was intercepted by a defender who headed it out. The ball bounced to Maradona who had by this point moved just outside the Monaco box. His header bounced into the box where Owen was running free. At this point Owen, as the ball was in mid air, jumped up and clipped the ball, volleying it past Barthez. It is hard to explain, but it was the most memorable goal I have ever scored. I held out to win, but I saved that goal and watched it over and over......a memory that is hard to beat. I haven't had one of those in FIFA since FIFA 98.:)
