I finally got Winning Eleven 2000 going on my comp, and im so glad i did before i went out adn got fifa 2002. ANyhow, i have an english patch that changes lots of stuff to english, but barely anything in the masterleague.
What i think i know:
a)Play in div two and try to finish top 2 to join the "premier" league and try to win that.
b)You always start with the same players (world leaders), and from their you buy any other player with money earned with wins/ties etc.
c)Ther'es not much else to it, other than it's ****ing awesome.


A couple questions:

a) how is the amount of money/points you earn from a game determined? x for a win? x for each goal? different amounts for better teams?
b) if you buy a player from an international squad it doesn't take them from their domestic one, so it's probably smarter to buy from a domestic one to improve your chances against them next time?
c) by the end you should have a full team of bought players to help you win the "premier" league?

that's sort of what i've got from the set up of the menus... let me know fif im way off or what?

Oh yeah, and how can i curve a shot? is it hold X and press a direction?

a)It depends on the difficulty level and the division you're in:

Normal: D2:
win : 4 pts + 1 pt by goal difference
Draw: 2pts
Normal: D1:
win: 8 pts + 1pt by goal dif.
draw: 4pts
Hard D2 :
win : 4 pts + 2pts by goal dif.
draw : 2 pts
Hard D1 :
win : 8 pts + 2 pts by goal dif.
draw : 4pts

b)err....yeah I suppose, but i think he will be subisttued by a player from your original team (ie if Man utd, you buy a striker, he will be substitued by yorke or cole)

OK OK you want to know how?

Its simple its exactly the same as FIFA of old, when you shoot hold the direction pad in the direction of the swerve. At first I didnt think it worked, but in ISS its much less obvious then FIFA. It also depends on the players, where they are shooting from, etc.

So if you use Rivaldo (Great buy in WE2000 at 18 points), and are running toward goal normally and swerve it you will see it, if you try th esame with Stam, with back to goal, besides ballooning over the bar youll get no swerve.

These little things are making the game so great :D

k thanks, cause someone told me some combination and it didn't seem to work, but was messing around and though i notic some swerve.

THis game is absolutely incredible. So good it's not even funny.
I'm playing master league on normal and starting to really get the hang of the game and winning very consistently, and still have maybe 10 div 2 games left. Once i get to div 1 will it be a lot harder? or should i not waste my time and start a new league on hard?

iss is so realistic, it's silly. I got in a monotonous tone in my play (it was working), and now i've hit a slump....
asnwer my question still, but the beautiful thing is, you dont find a way to win adn it works everytime

Hi Wizard, heh. Yeah, you can find a formation that you like and it works for you and your team and your style of play, but, that doesn't mean you will win all the time. you will have streaks, your best players will not be up (literally) for the game and unpredicatable bounces in the 87th min of a 0-0 game, changes everything. Such is life, such is ISS/WE/PES

Yah it's awesome, the most i've ever been addicted to a game i think.
I'm still pulling away in Div 1 though, but you gotta earn the wins big time so it's fine.
