Some of you might remember that the Mighty Joe has an uncle who works for a certain large soft drinks company, which started a bit of an argument about best soft drinks. So let's have a poll!

Well ,Dandilions and Burdocks are weeds that grow here in Canada, I can't image why anyone would want to make a soft drink out of them..

bah there are already cakes and omelettes with weed, so why not soft drinks?:D

Yeah, you're all right dandelion and burdock are both weeds, but with a certain herbal quality to them. I think originally the material for the drink was extracted from the roots.

Don't forget that Coca Cola was made from leaves and nuts, hence its name;

Coca leaves (yes, this is the leaf cocaine is obtained from)

Cola nuts (dunno what other use these have)


And for anybody really interested;

they don't use Coca in Coke any more.

Dandelions are often called "Johnny-wet-the-bed" in the USA. The sap from the root and lower stem has a diuretic effect and kids were always warned not to pick the plant as they would wet the bed at night. But kids always pick it to blow the seed heads to tell the time.

and then they added the fizz which makes it as it is now !!
+ once they chaged the taste to make it "better" (a long time ago) .. but everyone complained coz it was awfull !! SO luckely they switched back ... phew

well I don't care coz I don't smoke
but a lot of my friends do and it's very easy to get what you want .. so it's only a matter of months before it's legalized I think especially with the elections this coming may !

Cola with food? Most people would have mineral water with food, unless the food comes in Styrofoam boxes!

the colour of Irn Bru is rusty but it's taste can't be beat;)

Its no worse than Slivovitch or Gammel Dansk (I like Gammel Dansk).

They don't actually chuck the girders in (any more!), but they use an iron extract for colour (orange). It's also good for your blood because of the iron content.
