It isnt a cheat when a team doesnt want to win! Fiorentina should have made sure that they had enough points so they had the next round in their own hands. You cant blame another team for your team not qualifying, although I am very disappointed that i cant watch Batistuta any more in the champions league...

so now United are cheats because they tied Valencia 0-0 away with a squad missing some of its best players.... hmmmm.....

I love BATIgol .... he is the best striker in Serie A .... and I am sorry he must go ... but it is not Valencia's or ManU's fault. It is Fiorentina's .... they should have won their games, and the bottom line is that they did not. In a competition with Europe's best ... you must win your games. I f you do not ... Man Utd have shown nothing but crap football in the Champions League so far, and to top it off, playing one of the most boring Champion League matches with Valencia ever. Remiscenes of the W. germany - Austria WC 82 match, play a game of no intentions to score, so both teams go through. Now United will face some real competition.
As for Fiorentina, what a bunch of losers to surrender a 3-1 lead, and they should just have got more points, it's their own stupid fault they are not in the quaters.

Hey if I were a manager (and esp. in England where there are important matches two or three times a week), and I had such a wondeful opportunity a) to try young players and b) to give a rest to the Beckhams and the Keanes and the Giggses, I would definitely grab it.
