Mr. Knowitall 22-03-2000, 01:48:AM Is ISS Evoloution available in North America (particularly Canada) for playstation or PC?
Hunnter 22-03-2000, 02:17:AM It sure is the best, it's very good to play and more realistic than all the others that are around the scene, well worth digging into your pocket for the purchase....now lets all wait and see how Euro 2000 turns out.. .but ..but...3dfx suport...??..no more registry problems...??
doubt it.......
I don't know if it is available in the US or Canada yet, i don't even know if it is available in Aussiland yet, i managed to get it sent in from Overseas...and it was well worth the effort..............

chau le 22-03-2000, 02:38:AM I agree with ZZUB and Hunter. ISS Evolution is the best soccer sim game I've ever played. Whilst the graphics are not as pretty as the FIFA series, the gameplay is just superb! Very realistic speed which gives you enough time to plan an offensive move.
It's available now in Australia.
For those who doesn't know, it's a PlayStation game but I managed to get it to work on a PC using PSEmu Pro, a free PlayStation emulator.
BTW, because it's not a licensed product, the player's names have been altered slightly but the commentary of the names are correct.
JoeGlide 22-03-2000, 07:26:AM Can you imagine this if ISS EVolution/Winning Eleven 4 come to PC.. with graphics enchancement(3dfx/tnt) ... Internet Play....... duh... It will make EA go Bankrupt hehehee
Hunnter 22-03-2000, 07:27:AM ..?????? PS EMU Pro........hoooo, that sounds just the ticket.....er er...but where can i excavate it from....???...ISS should play as sweet as a nut on a top end Pc..
Thanx for the Tip Chau
drmancini 22-03-2000, 07:56:AM To Chau Le:
I'M REALLY INTERESTED IN PLAYING ISS ON A PC!!!! Please, can you tell me where to get PsEmu Pro and how to get ISS to work with it? Any information would be appreciated. I was even considering buying a PSX just for this game! What kind of PC does one need to play PSX games without problems?
Thanks in advance
chau le 22-03-2000, 08:17:AM You can download PSEmu Pro from http://www.zophar.net/psx.html
It's quite confusing at first to set up but it really worth it. Keep in mind that it doesn't play a lot of PSX games.
My PC is NOT a high end one but the performance is quite acceptable. I can play ISS Evolution at 1024x768 resolution which beats the 320x200 resolution offered by the PlayStation.
Have a go, I'll try to give some assistance as far as the setup is concern if you need it.
Hunnter 22-03-2000, 12:31:PM Thanx again, now it looks like long hours of play on the ISS pc "Version".........
chau le 22-03-2000, 12:40:PM Forgot to mention that you will also need the PSX BIOS for PSEmu to run. Because of legal reasons I can't tell you exactly where to find it but if you look around the site mentioned above (in the Links page) you can get hold of copy of the BIOS required.
chau le 22-03-2000, 10:55:PM drmancini,
PSEmu Pro was developed in 97-98 when a 166Mz was quite a good setup. The Voodoo 2 card would really help. You'd be able to play games at 800x600 resolution. I suggest you to grab Lewpy's Glide plugin which is the best PSEmu Graphics plugin for 3dfx cards.
drmancini 23-03-2000, 06:17:AM Thank you, Chau Le
I'll start my research on PsEmu Pro inmediately. By the way, would it be possible to contact you privately on this issue, just in case we needed some help? If not, could you please point out any tips we should consider before trying to get ISS to run? Also, what kind of PC do you need to run PSEmu Pro? (I own a P166MMX 64MB Voodoo2, i don't feel it will be enough http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/frown.gif )
Feel free to contact me privately at drmancini@hotmail.com
assius 25-03-2000, 01:08:AM Hi Chau Le, could you please help me to get ISS Evolution working on my P.C. I could really use your help, please contact me at bierhoff4@hotmail.com
Thanks!
Georg 26-03-2000, 04:31:PM Hey Chau,
what PC do you have?
Will ISS run on my machine (Pentium 200 MMX, 64 EDO, 3Dfx miro Hiscore voodoo 1)?
thanks again for FEd2K... http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
Neutral 26-03-2000, 04:35:PM Chau, or any of the Aussies on this forum, what TV system do you use there? PAL or NTSC? I am thinking of importing ISS Evolution since MLS2000 won't be out until may - I can't get the European version because it's PAL - what system do you guys run?
Thanks
Hunnter 26-03-2000, 09:20:PM we use pal systems in Australia......
chau le 27-03-2000, 01:19:AM Georg, mine is a P2-300 with 96MB and a 16MB TNT2 video card. Your system should run PSEmu Pro just fine.
Neutral, I think there is a patch that converts PAL version of ISS Evolution to NTSC.
Neutral 27-03-2000, 02:14:AM Chau,
I was thinking of importing it and playing it on my psx - but I forgot completely about the emulator - since PCs are all the same shouldn't bleem or psemu pro allow me to play ISS Evolution regardless?
chau le 27-03-2000, 02:56:AM Neutral, I haven't tried it on bleem but can't see any reason why it won't run as ISS Pro 98 plays beautifully (at times too fast).
PSEmu Pro can certainly run this game. The reason I use PSEmu Pro is because I can run it under Windows 2000. Not so bleem!
drmancini 27-03-2000, 08:28:AM To Chau Le:
This weekend I tried to run Winning Eleven 4 (japanese version of ISS Pro Evolution - NTSC) on PSEmuPro, but all I got were the two first logos and then nothing happened.
In fact I didn't get any game to run (I tried Gran Turismo and Metal Gear Solid). Both of them seemed to freeze when the first logos appeared. Could it be something about movies?
Could you please tell us which plugins are you using?. I've tried to make it run on these two machines:
P166MMX
64MB RAM
Creative Labs Voodoo2 8MB
Pioneer 32x IDE CD-ROM
PIII 500
128MB RAM
3dfx Voodoo3 3000
DVD-ROM
I'll try to grab a copy of ISS Pro Evolution (European PAL version) and give it a try.
If someone can run ISS Pro Evo/Winning Eleven 4 on any PlayStation emulator, could you tell us which/how you do it?
Thank you all
DrMancini
gaucho 27-03-2000, 07:56:PM I bought Winning Eleven 4 but i cant play it either on PSEMU or Bleem!, i see the menus but i cant get into the game itself.
i got winning eleven 4 NTSC and tried to run it on bleem and psemu and all what i got was the menus but i was unable to get in the match i think it's protected..
F.B Forever 28-03-2000, 12:00:AM Any one know if ISS Evolution is in USA on PC yet?
Hunnter 28-03-2000, 04:37:AM I don't think it will be released on the PC, i havn't found any info anywhere..it would be ok if it ever was...bye bye EA:>
Soccer Fans 28-03-2000, 06:12:AM I have also tried Winning Eleven 4 and This is football under Psemu, but they fail. However another game 'J.League Soccer"Jikkyou " Survival League can run properly. This game is much better than FIFA2k, at least it runs at a more realistic speed. The other features also includes player names in the back of jersey, power bar and more realistic replay.I think this is one of the best football game up to now!
Hamdan 30-03-2000, 05:34:AM To Chau Le or anyone who has played ISS Evolution on PC!!!
I have the program PSEmuPro latest version plus all the required bios or plugin but I have yet to get the best configuration for EmuPro to play that game.
I've tried my configuration with FIFA 2000 PSX version and it's okay but with ISS Evolution it's just came out the two first screens and then blank.
My PC PII333, Voodoo2, 64MB memory. I think it should be okay. Thanks in advance for your help.
assius 30-03-2000, 10:02:AM I havent been able to get ISS working either. All i get is the 3dfx screen and then nothing. Chau Le, or anyone else who can get it working, please post your advice!
Thanks
Does i need a ps disc to play it, or i just download it??
I am totally zero about this
gaucho 01-04-2000, 01:39:PM Chau, please post how you manage to get ISS to work with bleem! and/or EmuPro
Thanx in advance, gaucho
I'm telling you guys out there.. if you are looking for the best Soccer game in this planet... go for ISS Pro or Winning Eleven 4 (Japanese Version).. but I found out that the WE4 version is more kick ass..base on the japanese commentators.
Go for it Guys !!!
drmancini 03-04-2000, 08:53:AM I have been trying to get Winning Eleven 4 to work with PSEmu Pro but so far I haven't been able to go through the first two logos. If I can get a copy of ISS Pro Evolution (European PAL version), I'll try to see if it works. However, Winning Eleven 3 works (not perfect but highly playable) and I guess that's better than nothing. Even it is a 98' game, it's far more realistic and fun than FIFA 2000.
Any info on getting Winning Eleven 4/ISS Pro Evolution to run with ANY emulator will be appreciated.
chau le 05-04-2000, 06:05:AM All PSEmu Pro downloads you need to run ISS Evolution here:
http://www.tcmei.de/bp/psemu/download.html
I recommend :
. PSEmu Pro 1.9.3 build 564
. SCPH 1001 (PSX-BIOS)
. GpupeteTNT 1.30 (OpenGL) if you have a TNT, TNT2 or GeForce card
. GpuLewGlide119 (3dfx) if you have a Voodoo, Voodoo2 or Voodoo3 card
. For Windows 95/98 Duddie's ASPI driver works fine for CD drives but if you run Windows 2000 then use CDRdiskImage09. (You will have to make a BIN image of the game CD using CDRWIN).
is it possible to run the japanese version (WE4) on a pc,using any kind of utilities?
Hamdan 05-04-2000, 12:20:PM Thanks chau le, I will try it back home.
assius 06-04-2000, 05:46:AM When I click on PsEmuPro to start it up, i get an error message that says "cannot open required device: devices\dummy.dev" is anyone else getting this, what is wrong and how do I fix it???
thanks
drmancini 06-04-2000, 08:11:AM To assius
I think you must install PSEmuPro version 1.0.2.0 before updating with version 1.9.3. If I'm not wrong, v.1.0.2.0 is a full installation package, but v.1.9.3 is only an update (only the EXE file).
Hope it helps. Keep us informed if you get it to work!!!
assius 09-04-2000, 08:14:AM Yes! I finally got it working! Thanks for all the advice, it is greatly appreciated.
The only problem now is that because my computer is so fast, the games runs too quickly, like the speed of Fifa 2000. I tried lowering the speed level but it isn't enough, is there anything I can do about this??? Thanks Again
Georg 09-04-2000, 01:44:PM Hey assius,
fine you got to run ISS.
For slowing down your PC try the following:
Download a software break for your PC. Itīs a small program lowering the speed of your machine in general while it is active. Donīt know how it works but it does fine. If you donīt find it Iīll send it to you by mail.
assius 09-04-2000, 11:48:PM It would be great if you could send me the software break. When you have the time please send it to bierhoff4@hotmail.com.
Thankyou very much!
drmancini 10-04-2000, 08:45:AM Georg, can you tell us where to find this program? I'm interested in it in case I finally get ISS to work.
Assius, what version of the game have you got to run? Is it the PAL version? I tried to run Winning Eleven 4 (Japanese NTSC version) but it only shows the first two logos). I'm trying to get a copy of ISS Pro Evolution (European PAL version) and I hope this works. Have you used the settings suggested by Chau Le?
assius 10-04-2000, 09:19:PM drmancini,
I am using the Pal version of ISS Pro Evolution. Basically what I did was download psemu pro 1.0.20 and then download the build 564 update. I followed chau lee and used Lewpys 3dglide plugin since I have a voodoo 3. Which menus did you get to come up???
Also I actually have an extra Iss Pro Evolution, if you live in the u.s. I will sell it for maybe $35(it costs around 60$ to buy it from europe).
drmancini 11-04-2000, 08:06:AM assius,
I'm glad to hear you have got the PAL version to work. I downloaded all the files suggested by Chau Le (and every other file I came across in the search), so I hope to borrow a copy of ISS PAL from a friend and give it a try as soon as I can. Thanks for the info. I'll keep you informed about the results.
Mr. Knowitall 12-04-2000, 04:31:AM Is it available in Canada on playstation yet? if no ,why not?
Georg 12-04-2000, 02:53:PM HI guys,
you can get a good program on www.shareware.com
Type in there "SlowDown" and download the file "whoapc.zip". Extract it where you want and execute whoa!.com
After that press Alt-F10 and choose the speed of your machine by typing - or +. Then press E for enabling the break. Be careful: Donīt try to measure the new speed by the speed of the star moving around besides the menu. Work it out and take time to find the right speed of your machine.
Although itīs a DOS program it worx. "Whoa" is a memory-resident one, but there arenīt any conflicts.
If I shall send the program to anybody of you (about 20 KB) then post another new topic in the forum coz this oneīs getting too big. Name the new one "To Georg about Whoa" or anything like that.
Hope it helps ya.
