You arent allowed to get relegated thats for the Pert scum!

Getting beat of Ferranti Thistle tsk tsk. Last time they were in our league we beat them twice at Almondvale and they got a win and a draw at Love Street.

Hearts 1-3 Livingston

Hearts made one change from the team that went down 3-2 at Pittodrie last week with new signing Tommy Gronlund coming in for the suspended Thomas Flogel. Manager Craig Levein opted for a 4-3-3 formation with McKenna playing upfront with Adam and Ricardo Fuller - making his home debut.

The home side started brightly, and with Livi also playing three up front the signs were that it was going to be a good attacking game. Hearts should have taken the lead when McKenna met a cross from Maybury but unfortunately his header was straight at Nick Culkin. Hearts had plenty possession but it was Livi who looked the much more dangerous side throughout the match every time they broke forward.

It took the customary wonder save from Niemi to spark Livi into life when he brilliantly tipped an excellent 25-yard half volley from Tosh past the post. That was a sign of things to come and Livi took a deserved lead after 21 minutes when the impressive Brinquin broke down the right and his cross was sidefooted home by the unmarked Fernandez. Heads on the home side dropped the minute the ball hit the net and the first murmuring from the home crowd started to appear as Hearts began to lose grip on this game,

Five minutes later Livi doubled their lead with yet another defensive shocker from the Jambos. Aurelio caused havoc down the left and his cross was deflected onto the bar, the ball was only cleared as far as Brinquin who drove down the right. His ball into the box was met by the head of Fernandez - again unmarked - and he easily scored. This was enough for the home support who booed and jeered the team and also the anti-Robinson chants started as the game was killed off for Hearts.

Craig Levein's side couldn't force any saves from Culkin in the first half and the closest they came was a looping header from Fuller that went harmlessly wide.

No changes at half time by either side and it was no surprise that the pattern of the game didn't change, with Hearts having most of the ball but not creating anything and Livi breaking and looking like scoring every time they came forward.

As the game wore on Aurelio had a weak shot saved by Niemi and Wilson broke through but his shot was well pushed away by the goalie. Hearts closest effort came from Simmons, who fired inches over after a powerful run.

Livi went three up on 71 minutes when Aurelio chipped the ball through to Barry Wilson. The former Caley Thistle winger steadied himself before driving the ball high into the net from ten yards out.

It was the goal that emptied the stadium as the home support decided they had enough. The fans that did stay saw an undeserved Hearts goal when McKenna drilled it into the bottom corner following Maybury's cross from the right.

The team is crying out for width and its clear that Pressley is need a rest to get over his injury.

This was a thoroughly deserved win for Livingston who've done the double over us and this blip has turned into a crisis for Hearts. Unfortunately there doesn't seem much they can do to get out of it.

even worse is we had 6 internationals on the pitch and meadowbank had 0:confused: :( :o

I hope the Hearts can get their game back on track? Did Grönlund play in the game against Livingstone?

I think he can bring some fighting spirit to the club. It remains a question mark on how he will succeed. He may be a great success or a failure as he is getting old. I think he's still got it in him though!
