Has anyone downloaded the 1986 World Cup patch? When I installed it, only the graphics were installed - not the rosters! I noticed there were no DBI files included in the zip file...so I guess a vital part of the patch is missing here! :D

My 1988/89 season patch contains 70 club teams and 12 international teams from the season 1988/89. I posted all the features here at the forum almost three weeks ago...why don't you take a look at it? Here it is anyway...

Hi Saurabh, I think you've got slightly confused, then you've confused Johan. The WC86 patch is not one of Johan's (well, I don't think it is). Johan's big patch is his 88/89 season patch, oh and his Arsenal All-Stars (various Arsenal lineups through the years). The WC86 patch seems to be abit on the blink at the moment, but I think Nick is working on getting it uploaded properly.

Johan,

When I found the patch, all of the files were seperate - so for convenience I put them all into 1 zip.

The rosters I think are in the user zip's and need to be extracted to the user folder. It may have something to do with the fact they are german files, try changing the language in the game to german and see if that works.

I haven't actually tried to install it myself yet, so I'm just guessing.

I put the User files in the User directory, but it was still (almost) the same. There were a few players in the Brazilian 1986 team (Zico, Socrates, Junior and a couple more), but my guess is that he (Markus) created those players using the in-game editor. I'm convinced that we need the DBI files for it to work properly.

Oh, and changing the language to German didn't solve the problem.

Have you contacted Markus about this, or should I do it?
