Only thing about FIFA2002... do you think they could have made a little more of a nice lush green pitch? That pitch looks like a freshly watered putting green for night matches, but it resembles a burnt rag during day matches.

I guess not every ground can look like Highbury. LOL

But seriously. A mate and I used to be FIFA fans as well, until ISS pe started for the first time in our PSX.
Now we gave 2002 a go, nostalgia I Guess. We were pleasently surprised, to be honest. They've really made an effort this time (probably for fear of losing out to PES.)
Apart from some known prob's they've deepened the game, really.
But anyone who says that FIFA2002 is better than ISS pe2 (gamplay), let alone PES is crazy. It's just not true.
But he, Some people like nice pictures.....:p

Petrescu had a lot of great games for Chelsea though. I remember a goal he score where he was in the box and faked a kick...he dropped a defender and the keeper to the deck! Needless to say, the goal came pretty easy after that!

Looks like Raul my backside.....

This explains why he likes FIFA so much.... he is obviously completely out of his face on some wild drugs.....

dan petresco was one of my favourite players
he was a defender but was many times in attack

the guy on the picture looks like petrescu, the only difference: petrescu is looking 10 ten times older

You shouldn't have told people it was Raul when you posted the pic. You should have just put the pic on the board and asked people who they thought it was, most of them would have probably said Petrescu. :)

Hahahahaha! Can someone post pictures of the FIFA "likenesses" of Roberto Baggio or Ryan Giggs? I rented FIFA 2002 out of curiosity and laughed my balls off for an hour. Those two were the funniest - Baggio's ponytail (which he doesn't even have anymore) comes down to his waist and Giggs looks like Robert Kilroy Silk...

LOL If you want a laugh ask them if they would like Madden 2003 if it had 5 stadiums, no practice mode, no Madden cards, a franchise mode where players didn't retire and you didn't have drafts and you didn't have to worry about player contracts, and where all the players look the same size.

Then when they flame you let them know that that's the list of 'features' in Fifa 2002 and that seems great for them.

Everyone in the media, and a whole lot of SACCER fans seem to have different standards for football games and other sports games. No one would ever stand for EA Sports putting in only 5 stadiums in Madden, let alone a crap franchise mode, but when it's put in Fifa no one complains. Maybe the people at IGN and Gamespot think there are only 5 soccer stadiums in the world, and that soccer players can be transferred from team to team at will and they never age so they never have to retire.

Or maybe they're just a bunch of morons.
