I think Benfica is going to win 2-1, even though they 6 player play for thier international countries on Tuesday and Wedseday. Pobosky is going to smoke all the Porto defender with his speed.

Viva o Benfica#1

A victory for Benfica would taste just great... but I'm truly realistic... perhaps 0-0 is going to be the final result.

Nevertheless A great goal by Joăo Pinto would be a true cherry on top of the cake

I have a poll on my web page...go there and vote for the winner. There is NO way that the Lisboners will win at Antas!

You know what....????
BENFICA Sucks!!! I don't know how many of you live in Portugal or whatever, but if you pay attention to the news you should notice this...
If Benfica wins against Porto or Sporting or some big team, the news broadcasts it for the longest time. On the other hand if Porto wins a big game, bo matter who it is, they'll mention it once or twice and that's it. That's why they Suck, Benfica!

Porto is #1, they rule Portuguese Soccer... make note that 5 straight championships isn't enough.... watch out Portugal... Porto's going to win title #6 in a row.

Anyway, PORTO, will kill Benfica 3-1. Jardel 2 goals, Deco 1 goal for Porto. Nuno Gomes, 1 goal for Benfica.

Remember,
VIVA O F.C. PORTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about you folks but for me Porto sucks.
I'm a supporter of Blackburn Rovers, not really from Benfica.
It's just the logical conclusion that we can take from, and I repeat only what Rocky wrote:
" You know what....????

So,it's Porto that sucks and not Benfica, and the press knows it. They have more readers or higher audiences if they just mention the name of Benfica, what means that Porto isn't that "great team".

Frankly I think that +any one+, even people that eat guts ( I'm not being rude Ric, it's really true, Porto people really eat guts) can have a opinion, but at least they should be able to defend that opinion is the best way possible.

best regards,

Luís

If all you have is hostile comments...then get out of here Luis...Blackburn Rovers are not a very good team last time I checked. We just asked who would win Porto-Benfica..cause it is the biggest match this weekend.

Ok if I understood that guys comment it was that if the papers don't mention you much, you suck, what kind of stupid conclusion is that? Ok maybe you though that the paper was for readers in Lisbon? Read the paper from Porto and I'm sure they give emphasis to Porto, and mention Sporting and Benfica much less.

Anyway I can't make a good prediction here but I hope Benfica win because its about time they won the league again...

By the way the biggest match this weekend is actually Roma - Lazio...

no sorry, the biggest game is definetely Porto-Benfica. Why is that? Well contrary to popular belief Roma is not a contender for the Scudetto, while Lazio is. Meanwhile in the Portuguese League, the winner of the league will be decided on who wins the match this weekend.

Although I'm a die hard Benfica fan, I have to admit porto is a great team, and is playing some of the best football in Europe right now. If Benfica escapes from Porto with a single point it will be like a small victory, although I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a 1-0 Benfica win.

I still don't know how Benfica let Deco slip through thier fingers, the guy is an incredible player in every sense, it won't be long before he's wearing a Brazil jersey.

Drulovic

Well even though Benfica is leading the championship, you all noticed that the hardest game they had was Boavista at home, and they didn´t lose by luck, other than that the games have been easy.
So you can all be sure that F.C. Porto will win and make Benfica eat the dust!!
My bet is:
F.C.Porto - 4
(Jardel 3, Drulovic 1)
Benfica - 0

F.C. Porto is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Porto will kick the **** out of Benfica
no fence Benfica fans.
Allthough Benfica has Nuno and Poborsky,
but they are nothing comparing to JARDEL
Jardel is the best goal-machine in the world.

Here in Finland we see only Champions League and English 1st.division, but I've seen Jardel in EUROSPORT and he is really something else I just can hope I could be a
goal-machine like him.

And another thing the Champions league coverages here really sucks because they are showing only Barcelona and Chelsea because they have Finnish players(Litmanen on the
bench of Barca and Forssell in London).
Before they showed PSV and Rangers too.
(Kolkka and Johansson)
I would really like to see FC Porto, ManU and
Real Madrid!

Mr. Portugal I agree it is a very important game if you like Portuguese league, or like world soccer in general. Unfortunately not many people are into this league, outside of Portugal, while the Italian league is famous and avaliable to watch all over the world...

Also who's to say Roma won't challenge for the league or at least for the top 4 spots? They are right now in 4th place 5 points back and have a very good team.

Im not saying these things to disrespect the Porto Benfica game. I hope it is a great game and look forward to reading about it.

PolishPower:

That is exactly what is wrong with World Footie today. Who cares if you win the league title, but if you get that top 4 slot that is all that matters, right?

I completely disagree with that Philosophy. First I believe that if it wasn't for those dam Serie A/Primeira teams then the champions league would be better!
Why?
I propose a straight KNOCK-OUT home and Away format for the champions league with only the CHAMPION of each league making it. Thats right, no more dam Qualifying legs. A straight knock-out. I understand that some people out there say "Chelsea is better than Vaduz, yet they are not in it?" But the fact of the matter is that CHELSEA did NOT win THEIR LEAGUE and do not deserve to play in the "CHAMPIONS LEAGUE".
I find it more dramatic when a team like, say, HJK Helsinki were to pull a surprise win over a team like, Barcelona. Davids versus Goliaths do not happen anymore. Now it is purely a battle of payrolls. Frankly, I HOPE that no big team from the top 3 leagues win the CL! I want a surprise team to win for once!

Oh, and Porto 3 (Jardel, Deco, CHainho)
Benfica 1 (Nuno Gomes)

Later!
